It is with great sadness that we will be cancelling our cruise. My daughter Joanna has been in ICU in critical condition with multi system failure for the past 16 days in Celebration Hospital. We are very lucky to still have her with us. We do not have a discharge date and since she will need to have dialysis and extended care, we will be cancelling our cruise. It was very nice getting to know everyone here and I hope you all enjoy the cruise, I know we were so thrilled to be going. Hopefully we will meet up again on another Disney cruise.

Our family's prayers are for your daughter and your family. Celebration is a good hospital there in the Celebration Community, I have heard some very good things about their network. We do hope that if she is having Kidney problems they will be resolved, miracles are always acceptable when children are involved. We also look forward to the day we can meet Joanna, perhaps during one of our trips to WDW.

Called DCL today and found some interesting information:

We received a $176 OBC for a rebate on fuel charges.

One of the med cruises will not be making their scheduled Villefranche port. It is not our cruise.

If you have traveler checks in euros DCL will convert them to dollars then convert them to euros before exchanging them for cash. According to DCL it is how they they handle the traveler checks in British pound.

We have rented car for around $120 that holds 5 I think. We are still planning on doing the zipline/rope adventure course at least the family is. I am designated photographer. That park is in same town as tortoise sanctuary but we have plenty of those at Honolulu zoo and family knows zookeeper so we have fed those already. After the adventure park we plan on doing the loop through the Prunelli gorge and back to town to find that candy factory. We could change and do Les Calanches.

Anyone that wants to share a cab to airport to get rent a car at 7:30 can contact me. I couldn't find an agency in town that was open for sure. I rented from SIXT.com and with the euro continuing down you can get the smaller car for as low as $106. We rented the Peugot which is down to $111 now.

Here is a quick google map. A trip to Les Calanches and Parc Aventure would be 3 hours of driving time according to Google.

We're looking to rent a car with SIXT.com as well; thanks for posting the info. We'd be interested in sharing the cab with you over to pick it up. What time did you reserve your car for so we can reserve for the same times?

I would suggest you do it on your own...seems like there's a DIS group doing it. There's a bus that runs from Nice through Villefranche to Monaco and Mentone and back. It's very straightforward.
