Sorry, we dropped our luggage off at 10:30 and then went back to see more of the city and do the Aquarium, so I'm not sure when boarding actually began. They did have a Flamenco dancer and guitar player to entertain, as well as some characters, in the boarding area. There were definitely Palo reservations available, including for brunch, b/c our tablemates booked it when they got onboard.
Malta is much better weather. You can definitely swim in this. The TV said the Mickey pool temp was 90.8 F, which is plenty warm enough for even me.
Oh, and contrary to what I was told when I called
DCL, you CAN order the 7 night wine package. That's what we did our first night at dinner, at our server's suggestion.
They have a decent selection of Med DCL merchandise and seem to be getting more when they get into Barcelona. For example, one style of kids shirt they only got the box of larger sizes and no smaller ones. They have hoodies, mugs, magnets, spoons, photo albums, scrapbooks and scrapbooking kits, pins, postcards, etc. Plus the Dooney bags. Already bought one of those!
Lots of spa specials onboard. They are promoting a mother's day special elemis facial and massage for a total of 110 minutes for $239, including Rainforest room. Today's is a 75 minute special with a 50 minute massage and 25 minute facial, rainforest pass and glass of champagne for $149.
Tonight's entertainment is Phil Keller for families and Paul Zerdin, ventriloquist for adults.
They had a Princess gathering in the lobby yesterday and will do it again on the last at sea day. Last night, they had Pluto's PJ party in the Kids' Club, which my daughter loved. They made special pillowcases and Pluto showed up and played with them. Earlier, she'd made a Peter Pan hat with the help of Peter Pan. She's a happy, happy girl!
