And here is the apology for the fools and morons. In the last post I referred to the characters at the Italy pavillion in Epcot as "costumed fools". I had read somewhere(you know how it is, what can you really believe what you read on the internet) about a group of performers who had been ousted from their gig in italy. I only got their side of it, so I had a one sided opinion against the costumed fools. I will hear after refer to them as "entertainers", of course which they are. I realize maybe some of you folks out their like what they do, so who am I to call them fools. The other thing is at the UK pavilion I refered to the street act as "morons", well, I didn't even know what the act was, just that they were loud, which is ok, I just wasn't in the mood for loud, not even mary poppins. So the morons are now "entertainers". And please don't be dissed because they are entertainers, heck, that's they're better at it than I am, they work at wdw-what a cool job!
So, apology done.
And we've woke up for day 6. The gang is really tired, from running around. We go to the breakfast place on 192, we got a good deal, 4 of us full breakfast for $25, db had a card which allowed him a good discount. We then go back to the hyatt and get ready to go to-
Typhoon Lagoon! Opening is at 10am, we want to be at the gate at least 15 minutes before then. We're all excited, I'm videotaping our entrance, going into the parking lot, and we find a shady spot to park. We start getting our stuff out, and I ask df, where are the towels and the bag? and she says to me I thought you had it, I said no, I thought you had it! Well, we
kind of look at each other shake our heads, and pile back in the volvo. Back to the hyatt, and
back to typhoon lagoon. I didn't videotape our return. The shady spot was gone, there was a long line for tickets, but I did get a discount with my dc card. We get inside and get a locker, there was a line, and put out things away. We head over to the children's area, and find some seating to stow our towels, most of the seating was occupied allready. The park had filled quickly.
We let ds check out the kids area, after all, it is a vacation, we're supposed to relax! And we do, most of the day. He goes over to the little tube slide, and we get a picture done of him in the tube. This would be the photo that we purchased for a souvenir. It's in a magnetic frame on our fridge, and we bought a special typhoon lagoon frame to put the big pix in, it's on my df dresser now. He's got this huge smile on his face, he's really happy! It's priceless, it really is.
Well, ds, is pacified for bit, so we go over to the tube river, and spend most of the day doing this. We did go over to the other side of the park fairly early to do the swim with the sharks, I was all excited, but it seems that the sharks had gone over to the other side, for the "paying" divers. I guess you have to pay extra to swim with sharks. We did the slides, and the df loved the big slide, huwanga, it hurts your back a little if you're a mid 30 something, and a bit overweight.
We did have lunch in the park, and ds got his lunch in a plastic bucket with a shovel. We went to the wave pool, lots of people there, and we went on the family raft ride.
Most of the tube rides had a good wait, about 30 minutes each. We were pretty much pacified with the lazy river tube ride, I spent some time with ds in the children's area, just relaxing, sitting in a chair. Db and df went to the lazy river for a few times around, I was just watching the kids play, especially the real little ones. I figured this was going to be my quiet time on our trip. I wasn't really sure if we would ever be back to typhoon lagoon, since next time we'll be going to blizzard beach, but you never know.
We got out of there in one peace, and headed back to the hyatt for some R&R.
Next day, our last, we'd head over to the animal kingdom early, and then hit mk when ak closed. I did have my blitz plan ready, and was hoping for good weather. I remembered the hour long line for the safari ride and thought-fast pass! We were also hoping to go on the aladdin ride, as it was still testing on sunday, ds was pointing at it-" I want to go on that!"
We would see. Tommorrow would be our last day at wdw, so we'd be running all day long.
I had to get some rest! So the next report-fastpass utilized to the max, showers in the afternoon, was the alladin ride running?, the nightime parade, and the monorail trick.
