Hello everyone!

My TA just emailed me, and my docs are here! Hurrahhhhhh.....I just checked my site though and I haven't been upgraded. disappointed.:(

happy we're going though, so all is good. I wasn't expecting an upgrade, just hoping.

8 more sleeps...

Hello everyone!

Now I'm worried I have too many clothes! Since I'm going to WDW for 10 days prior and tanktops don't really take alot of space, I'll probably just take everything. I don't think I can get away with less than 6 pairs of shoes though: dress shoes, my multipurpose sandals, walking sandals, another pair of lower casual sandals, strappy medium heel sandals, and my two pairs of flipflops! Is anyone really going to take less than 5 or 6?

Just 8 more days until I leave! AAAAAAA.....Does anyone get more stressed out the closer it gets. It almost gets unbearable to me these last few days. I worry about everything!

My kids are going to wear dress shorts for dinner, sandals, and shirts.(collared, not t). Does that sound okay?

BTW, my TA tells me I may not get my cruise docs in time, and she will UPS them to me in WDW! That makes me really nervous! What do you guys think? I've received my magical express tags...

Talk to you later, I'd better do what I get paid for.

Sandra from Canada, eh!

Ok Sandra, I feel better now. I was trying to figure out how I could take less than 6 pair of shoes - just bought another new pair on Saturday - and we are only flying in the day before! I can't imagine how much stuff I'd lugg if we were going 10 days before! Good luck to ya. ;)

I'm bringing 2 pair of nice capris and a couple of casual skirts to pair with tank tops for the casual nights. I'm not really bringing a "formal" gown, just a nice black dress with rhinestone straps.

Congrats to everyone who has lost weight before the trip. :yay: I had a goal to lose at least 5 lbs, but would prefer 10. I lost the 5 and don't think I can do anymore before the trip. Just yesterday I told myself I was going to cut out all the sugar these last 16 days and I could drop a few pounds. Then today I went to the mall for some kids clothes and ended up buying 4 pieces of Sees Candy and consuming all of them in less than 5 minutes. Oh well, I can always start tomorrow right????

Thanks Chris for your encouragement and male perspective. Always appreciate your input and your humor! :thumbsup2

No word from TA yet today. Guess she hasn't received my docs yet.

Hey, I used to go to Curves, and we didn't have an elliptical machine. Hmph! Although, they look hard, so maybe I should be glad! (I get tired just watching people do them!)

mazzarafe said:
Pearlieq, that is definately something you put on and don't take it off until it is staying off! ;) Sure does look like it would work though...guess I'll be taking a trip to the nearest Lane Bryant. :thumbsup2

I did make it back to curves, used the ecliptic (sp?) machine for 20 minutes. Burned 317 calories, about 1/2 of one of the 2 manicotti I had for dinner.

Heather, actually I like your positive thoughts for the push up effect of the "wet suit." And keep the dream alive for a upgrade, cause I didn't take your chance away from you. :sad2:

Gina, congrats on your weight loss!! You are doing great! And I HATE bathing suit shopping....especially online. How come those suits always look better on the models than on me, huh?

I did start dieting the middle of January and to date have lost 17 lbs. I just started exercising (I know, bad girl) on 3/20 and I am officially down a size. I tried on my next size down jeans the end of March and had to suck in my gut to get'em zipped but they went on and I could still breath when I sat down. So I decided to be brave and wear them to work. Couldn't wait to get home and get them off! I just wore them on Friday and they actually felt loose on me.

I did go shopping on Palm Sunday at Avenue. I can now wear a 14W which is a nice change from a 18! I'm going to check them out again this week for shorts, they did not have any in yet. I do have some that I had outgrown that are now fitting me perfect or just slightly big on me but I can still wear.

I ordered my new bathing suit from JC Penney's last night. I have to wait for it to come in because other clothes I ordered for the girls are backordered until next Monday so everything is shipping together. I ordered that alittle bigger because they usually run small anyway. I may add in a size down to be sure and just return it.

I still have to hit Fashion Bug because they have some good prices too. Along with Lane Bryant for that contraption to see if it will help me into my black dress!

My MIL is coming to my house today to watch the girls. I'm gonna tell her to eat what ever they want to for dessert. I want all these tempting goodies gone! I still have pie, italian pastry, and ewand (sp?) or angel wing cookies as they are called in the store. Plus my cherry bread. I want it all gone I say!

Anyway, we are getting closer to our big day!!!

I sure hope it's acceptable, because that's exactly what I'll be wearing, too! :thumbsup2

Ladies, what are you all planning on wearing for our casual nights? I was planning on capris with nice tops, is this acceptable?

Oh these posts have been making me giggle so much. My dh is in the next room and keeps saying "Who are you laughiing at??".

Finally...our docs came today!!!! :cool1: :thumbsup2 :yay: :bounce: Now it really seems close!

I keep hoping to get shopping but each day something gets in the way...thanks to all those who have forged out ahead of me and given me hope I may find something to wear! I hate shopping as I did NOT lose any of the weight I had hoped to. Oh well! :confused3

I need to call Shirley at The Perfect Gift to order baskets for the kids. Anyone else do that and care to share some ideas. I have two boys 10 and 13. I'm thinking underwater disposable camera, candy, sand toys (my 10 year old loves to create small cities in the sand...at least it will be sand...yesterday he and his friends built a mud house!). What do you think?

I got the new Passporter last week and have been reading and highlighting, reading and highlighting...

I heard somewhere that you can send a UPS package to the ship to your cabin. Does anyone know the address to do that or have done it in the past? We did not do that on our last two cruises but thought it might be an idea this time to avoid packing some stuff. I order glow necklaces, sticks, & bracelets, glow in the dark tattoos and a few other things from Oriental Trading and I thought I could ship that down there ahead of time.

I went to Target tonight and picked up my shoe organizer to hang on the bathroom door. Looked for a collapsible hamper but didn't find one. They also didn't have laudry soap tablets...gotta keep looking.

Thanks for all the tips and fun posts lately...I don't post much but so enjoy reading everything!! Time to try to go to sleep, but as always..."I'm too excited to sleep!". :rotfl2:

Morning :sunny: ! I had a basket done by Shirley for DS10 (almost 11). We included sand toys, underwater camera, glow sticks, tattoos, pirate eye patch, bottled water, Doritos (his favorite) and a variety of candy for the movies. I think he'll love it. Hope that helps alittle. Have a great day.

One day closer !! :cheer2:

Thank you Miss Jasmine...you made my day!!!! :woohoo: Do you know how far in advance you have to send things?

Well, I lost 2 lbs today...

I got my hair cut! :teeth: I lost over 5" and it feels GREAT!!! I'm so glad to have that big old mop of hair gone!

And now, on to more important topics...like nail polish. I happend to go by a Sally beauty supply and I finally found one I think will work with everything I'll be wearing all week (Chris, make sure you coordinate yours with your bag. Wouldn't want anything to clash... :lmao: )

It's a nice bright rose color--just tropical enough to be fun, but not so bright as to be garish with my formal. I'm all stoked!

No docs today, but our UPCs guy tends to come in the evening so I'm still holding out hope. In better news, my new Crocs sandals came today! I was so excited--I'm kinda glad the cats were the only witnesses to my little happy dance.

I know we've got people leaving next week, so we should probably get back to figuring out when/where we should meet!

Are we still thinking sometime after the sailaway? Does everyone want to stay out on deck or try to meet indoors in the Promenade Lounge or the like?

Hooray for you and your weight loss! That's awesome! I too am planning a haircut before the trip, my appointment is the night before we leave. Good thing I love my stylist enough and trust her to make me look great right before we leave. I'm getting at least 4" cut off. It will feel so great!

I'm glad you were the one to ask the all important nail polish question. I have an appointment to have a mani/pedi done the week we leave and am already stressing about that perfect color that will go with everything. What do you think Chris??? From a mans perspective, do you even look at a womans toenails? :confused3

Now for the best news! I just got an email from my TA and my docs are at her office! She is sending them 2 day DHL to me so that means I'll have them by Friday! WooHoo! :cool1:

I'm open to a meeting place. Having never been on the boat before, I don't know where anything is, so make it easy! :yay:

For the nail polish dilemma...I do a french manicure because it goes with everything!!

Question:

"What do you think Chris??? From a mans perspective, do you even look at a womans toenails?"

Response:

Women have toenails??? :confused3 (The only toenails I usually see is when I stick my foot in my mouth! :rolleyes1) I usually only notice a ladies eyes. As a matter of fact I used to date a girl who was so crosseyed when she cried tears ran down her back. They called it "back"tearia!

Gotta run!!!!! Or should I say "bounce"? :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Later
Chris :cool1:

BTW Remember you are unique ---just like everybody else!!

Meeting place..
Im thinking after the drill is good..since we dont know the exact time of it and its been mentioned before..I dont care where...There are noisy places and quiet places...I have heard of a few before..one was on deck 10, one was in the computer area and one was in front of the arcade..my dh and i went window shopping for some clothes for me..he was actually a lot of fun..im hoping for a lot of fun on this cruise

www.xanga.com/amychristopher :stir:

Hey everyone,
Not sure how many have first seating (we don't), but after the drill (which is usually at 4 and ends by 4:30), most early seating people will be getting ready for dinner...right? When is first seating? 5? Sailaway is at 4:30, taking everyone right up to first seating. That may make it hectic for first seating dinner folks.
We can always try for later in the evening, or even Sunday morning???

Just a thought.

Lisa

Well, still no docs. I think the UPS guy is taking the long way back from Mick & Lyn's! :rotfl:

I was checking out the navigators (did I mention how much I hate the new navigators?) First dinner is at 5:30pm. The sailaway is scheduled to go from 4:30 to 5:15. I would imagine that might make getting everyone together post-boat drill kind of tight unless we wanted to do it during the sailaway, but then there were others who weren't crazy about being in the crowds/noise of sailaway, and others who didn't want to miss sailaway, but then later that night everyone will be shuffling between dinner/shows and then putting the kidlets to bed, but maybe Sunday morning will work except isn't the first Character Breakfast that morning? And the cheese stands alone. :teeth:

I'm fine with whatever. I don't want to miss the sailaway, but I'd like to meet everyone as soon as possible so we can have fun saying "hi" in the elevators for the whole cruise!

Have a great day, all! :sunny:

Woo Hoo :Pinkbounc :bounce: TA just called , she has our docs! Going right after work to pick them up  :cheer2: :dancer:

16 more days!
