AARRRGGHHHH!!!!! the school called yesterday and sent Regan home sick....today she is sick still...fever and now within the last hour, diarrhea.....oh what fun!!!! Ihope hse gets over it quickly....and that none of the rest of us get it....we leave next thursday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey...just wondering...anyone else NOT dressing up for pirate Night...my DH and I have no intentions, but I am worried that my kids might be a little upset if everyone is in all-out pirate garb and they are not! when we went last time, the pirate night was still pretty new....so not many people got dressed...just did the bandanas from DCL.

Also, any idea of what time the sunset in Key West will be on our cruise??? I would really love to see it, but don't know if it will be during our dining time or show....might want to plan around it.

as far as pirate nite i am dressing amber up in her pirate outfit and i am semi dressing up for it.i have black jeans and a black/ white striped shirt i am wearing and prob do the bandana...not sure if the guys will or not yet..i am hoping to find a pirate shirt at least for them on the cruise to wear..i do have eye patches and earrings for the kids but who knows if they will wear them.

pigglett..yep i know the feeling..i almost bought me a swim dress too but thought the same thing.made me look like an old granny... my biggest problem with swimsuits is they don't offer much support for me and then the ones that do have support always seems to show the "perks" anyways. dh says he doesnt mind but hey i do..i used to have one of those tan thru swimsuits and only wore it once before i couldnt fit in it as i got pregnant a month later... tried that on and was like nope not wearing this anymore as it shows EVERYTHING now

I think I am mostly packed except for two pair of shorts I ordered that have'nt come yet...had to go through Kaylin's suitcase for the gazallionith time I swear that child thinks shes moving out! She even had her halloween costume in there
We are not dressing up for Pirate night. Kaylin will most likely wear her Goofy pirate hat she got on the Panama Canal cruise and I still have our bandanas but that will be the extent!
Jackie-no worries! It will all be worth while!
I am wearing my swimsuit from last time...I did'nt lose the weight I wanted so I did'nt even want to attempt that depressing thought! Most likely I will keepmy shorts on over the bottoms...strangest thing...the bottoms seem like they shrunk The same thing happened to some of my shorts too...darn shrinking clothes

I just read on the main cruise thread that DCL is banning door signs!!! Noooo.....this is the first time I've actually made one!

Are you serious? I just spent so much time making door signs. Do you think they will enforce this?

Does anyone have a suggestion of what to pack for lunch on an airplain. Delta no longer will offer a meal on the flight and I don't think my children will survive with snacks only.

Bagels are a good idea for the plane. We usually get them fresh the day before butter them and freeze them. Then right before we leave the house we put them in our carry on bag. Works out really well for us!!!

From what i read on the door signs is that they only allow the magnetic ones no tape or things like that.


my mom picked me up another bottle of conditioner for amber and also gave me a small pick and small bottle of shampoo so i can pack those now and will only have to worry about my curling iron.. although i haven't been curling my hair lately so i could go ahead and pack it now..

i did find some navigators from the same cruise we are on from feb of 07..not sure how accurate they will be but i did find it very useful for day to day thinking out plans on what to expect

Zanna, you do know that if ds's passport doesn't get here, all you need is his birth certificate? The postponed the start up date for passports.

I have magnets on all of my signs and before I laminated the small, sshhhh, Princess sleeping sign for naps, I decided to add Madison's name to it. I understand there are more and more missing signs that are not personalized. So now only someone with a Princess Madison can "borrow" this one!
DH is the only one that has to shop still. I personally and Madison-wise better stop shopping!
Jackie, if I came for a visit I would enjoy shopping!! Good luck with the rest.

What is everyone's schedule on when they are leaving? We will leave early Friday morning, head over to the Jacksonville airport to pick up my step son, then off to Palatka to meet the rest of the family. We will stay the night Fri, then drive over Sat. morning.

Super Shuttle will pick us up here about 7:30am Friday morning and take us to LAX, our flight (last I checked) takes off around 11am. We get to MCO around 6:30pm or so and go upstairs to stay at the Hyatt overnight. Sunray Transportation picks us up at 9am Sat morning, so we should be at the port around 10am.

we are scheduled to leave thursday morning sometime..hoping to be first thing but may not be till closer to noon.. but we will stay the nite somewhere along the way and finish the drive on friday. we check into the raddison friday and spend the nite there and take the first shuttle over to the port on sat.

I do know that they don't need a passport but i do hope this is not our only cruise. As fast as DS passport and needing only a birth certificate. Well I had to send his birth certificate with his application for a passport. Poor child asking every day if his passport is there.

We are leaving Wednesday morning and going to WDW for three days before. Then we will rent a car and drive ourselves there to get there bright and early. I have heard that it isn't such a terrible place to wait so we may as well people watch for a couple of hours there.

I am so excited, my DS is so excited, My DH is even excited. This is going to be great.

The first one is plain with just a little information.

The second one took me forever and I wrote a whole story. If you can't read it you will have to stop by 2598 on deck 2 to read it in person. (That's my way of making people come visit us...)

I am also going to print those mickey ears and probably personalize them as well so they don't get stolen.

i like your door signs iamdaisy.. i didn't do any door signs up.

i am going stir crazy getting bills paid ahead only to find out an automatic occuring order for my dad went thru and made me have an over draw on my checking account so the bank to more money out of my vacation money to accomodate for it. so i can only hope my dad pays me this week before we leave for his order to replace the vacation money.

what stateroom is everyone in..we should have done this right from the get go too so we could have a list of where everyone is located on the ship..oh well thats what we get for lost brain cells... we are in 7552 midship right by the elevators on deck 7

we are leaving on Thursday, going to Daytona to visit my nephew in college on Friday. We will be at the port nice and early on Saturday morning!!!!

I am here been so busy this past week, my blood sugars have been crashing. Dr keeps lowering insulin and sugars are going lower and lower. I have been diabetic for 43 yrs of my 47 yrs alive and have never had so many problems controlling it, must be all of the activity going on.

We leave Thursady at 1pm and arrive 4 pm then to the radison for the night. Cant wait to meet all of you, and see that magnificent ship.The stress of getting ready and super busy at work I wish it was time, I would just throw all of my wrinkled clothes in the suitcase and go.

Have a super weekend getting ready this is the last one.

Karen (Madisonznana): Thought I would let you know since you are taking the same excursion...I pm'd a lady that just came back from GC and did the Pirate encounter, this is what she had to say about it. Sounds like a lot of fun, I can't wait!

The pirates play some games with the younger kids on the way to 7-mile beach...stuff like making them swab the deck etc. - then they took the 3 teen boys...tied their hands all together...and made them hold ice in their hands till it melted into a bucket....then poured it all over them....then they took a bucket of ocean water and poured that on them as well (however the ocean water temp is WARM!!!)...they also did this with the three teen girls too....once at 7-mi beach you could swim - walk the plank...jump off the top or use the stairs into the water they provide. They served water, soft drinks, fruit punch & Rum Punch for the adults....i think you'll enjoy it....they also shoot off what sounds like a cannon...when they're near the Magic...so i was able to take a lot of photos of their boat from our verandah
