We are leaving Friday, flying through Denver (my old hometown)
We are renting a car (like that control thing) so will be at the port about 10 or 10:30.
We are on deck 6 and I do have some "magnetic" door signs, including my "Dis member on Board" sign, so come look us up! (eh...guess it would help to know that we are in 6548 near front on starboard side)

not soon enough pigglett.. i just got home for the day..long day had a meeting after work today to go to ..amber managed to get scratched by a dog on the face. that aught to look good for pictures..hopefully it will be healed and gone by then.

well i am off to do rest of our laundry so the 15 yr can get his done tomorrow. i have a new chore to do in finding the best and most popular place for 4th of july parades in ohio..should be interesting research.

We leave next Friday morning at 7:30am from Ontario (CA) and fly to Dallas/Ft. Worth. From there to Orlando and we are staying at the Hyatt. Taking the Disney shuttle to the port the next morning.
We are in cabin 6628 starboard, aft.

Sherrie, I am sorry you are having trouble with your diabetes. My youngest dd is on the pump and has been doing really good for the first time in years.
DH has finally said he is so ready to leave for vacation. He is exhausted doing two jobs. They finally hired someone to take over his old position and now he has to train the new guy starting Monday (I hope he learns fast!!), along with trying to tie up all loose strings before he leaves.

Madisonznana....what time do you get to the Hyatt? We might run into each other there! Our flight gets in at 6:50 and then we'll check in and then get a bite to eat and then we will head up to the roof to see the swimming pool (don't plan on swimming though) and watch the planes land. Since our bodies will be on Calif time, I don't think we'll go to bed too early.

ahhh...this time next week we'll be at the sail away party!

I'm off to do some research too. DH says if we rebook on board, we are not paying for DS next time, so I'm going to research inside room costs to see if he wants to rebook for himself and his girlfriend. We don't know for sure that we will book on board, but want to be ready just in case!

We arrive in Orlando at 5:50. That would be fun to see the planes taking off on the roof. Maybe we will settle in and get some dinner and head up for a while. I don't want to stay up too late, I need to start getting Madison used to the time change. If she doesn't sleep on the plane we should be doing okay, since we will be leaving home a little bit after 5 am.

Okay guys, I made a little progress today!! My friend and I did go shopping. We couldn't do a marathon shopping trip like I normally would because she's pregnant with twins and so she got really tired, but we did get DH 5 pairs of shorts, a swimsuit, 4 short sleeve (double knit polo type) shirts, and some crocs! I also got a few things for me, but still no dress and no swimsuit for me...I'm still working on those items. Oh, and I bought tons of sunblock, and some film for the water-proof camera!

We're leaving Friday evening after I get off work, flying into Tampa. We won't get there until late, but I HAVE to work Friday and don't want to risk flying in Saturday morning....so we're staying the night right there in Tampa and then renting a car the next morning and driving!

I want to say that we're in room 6636...but it's so late, and I'd have to double check that....Regarding door-signs....this is our first cruise so I really don't have a clue what all this door-sign talk is about, but we aren't making/bringing any, so if that is the wrong room number, just look for the door with no sign on it!

Still no Birth Certificates...that's tomorrow's project. I did pull out the suit cases and unpack them from when we moved...now I just need to re-pack them with the cruise stuff!

Oh, we found out that DH has to take one of his final exams from the ship, so we're bringing our lap-top. Does anyone know how that works? Will our wireless card just work in our stateroom, or will he need to move to a certain area of the ship to get online? Also, does it cost extra to use their internet connection with your own computer?

What is everyone doing about sea-sickness? I tried to find Ginger pills at Wal-mart, but I couldn't find any. What about those wrist band things, do those work? Does anyone know where I can buy those?

Tanning...does anyone do the sunless tanning thing? I do NOT bake myself in the real sun, or in tanning beds, so I'm thinking about getting that Mystic Tan done a few times before we leave just so I don't blind anyone...any comments regarding Mystic Tanning?

internet access on the ship is in certain areas and you do have to pay for it regardless if its your computer or not. i don't recall what the prices are off hand..i know its expensive.

sea sickness..we have the bands and yes they do work..one of our kids had to use them on our last cruise (was smaller ship then disney) this time we will take the sea bands and dramamine for amber. although i dont forsee us really neededing it..the disney ships do have huge stablizers on their ship that takes alot of that motion out..i think we felt it just the one time a dinner and that was it. we are taking ours mainly for the deep sea fishing we will be doing in key west.. and you should be able to get those at walmart, or a drug store like rite aid, cvs..might have to ask them where they keep them as they come in a fairly small package.

tanning...well you all get to see my pearly white legs shinning bright as i don't do the tanning beds or the self tanning..i do have some but don't use it as i don't have time to wait for it to dry before i can get dressed most times. i also won't lay out in the sun as we have today and tomorrow with decent weahter and ran tusday, wed, and thursday of this week..what a good way to really want to be ready to leave

well hope everyone has a good day today..i have another boring 8 hrs at work today then its home to finish up packing and throw what i can in the van for now...tired of tripping over things in the morning when i get ready for work..

Kaylin thanks you all for your cheers. She was a bit upset because she really wanted 1st since you all were rooting for her. She actually was first in qualifying but then her kart started acting up(meaning dad messed with it to much ) and she lost power! I told her win some lose some and 2nd with this group of boys is a HUGE deal!
I have used the Mystic tan and it looks great. Just put thick lotion on your palms or it will tan them too! I would also rec. getting it done about 2 days before you leave. It is about the most real looking tan you can do though. I don't do it anymore but did like it! Good Luck!
I am soooo excited...at the races I kept saying,"this time next week we wil be..." Kaylin was giving me looks like, what are you talking about?

We are leaving either Monday night at 10 or sometime in the middle of the night so the kids will sleep most of the way and I probably wouldn't be able to sleep anyway. If it weren't for Courtney having to go to school Monday and dh working til 7, I'd be on my way to Disney now.

hi and welcome laneypac..not sure what makes everyone think this was just added in the post but no we have all been chatting about this cruise for awhile now.. we have a meet and greet on the promenade lounge on deck 3at 3:15 before the saftey drill for everyone on this disboard chat. you are more then welcome to stop by..if you plan it before you head out let us know as some of the kids are exchanging little things and we can have an accurate head count. so far we have 26 kids total for the meet and greet ranging in ages 2- 17.

karen thats how we are better safe then sorry..many times i have carried a small first aid kit with us and dh always says we wont need that and we everytime he says that we end up needing something from it. so now he doesnt argue with me he knows i pack for the just in case we have that in the field of meds and first aid. if we dont then great but at least we dont have to spend high bucks if we do need it or have to hunt for it all over the place.

Well, I am making progress.....I started packing today!!!! I pretty much have Reid all the way packed, the majority of Regan packed....now I am taking a break and than will start packing for me!!!! all of the toiletries, etc I will do on Wednesday night (we are leaving Thursday), but as long as I have the clothes packed,....I feel much better!!!!! Plus, I figure if there is anyithing that I forget, i am not stressing this time, i will just buy it in florida!!!!!!

hey all, How goes the wait, we finished painting our kitchen today all of the cleaning and shopping is done. been tanning everyday, And right after work tomorrow will start sorting and packing, This too shall pass then the cruise, pheeeew!!! Seems like Christmas is coming with all of the bags I have. Bought the sea bands and did find ginger pills at our wal mart but no bonine yet. Thought I saw a childs bonine or dramamine somewhere but now cant remember. One stop to the parmacy for last minute things on tuesday and i am done til I hit Florida.

Are any of you staying at the radison?

Just think in 1 week we will be in key west.
