We are leaving bright and early Wednesday morning...can't wait to spend a few days by the pool before the big day on Saturday. DS gets to miss 3 days of school...he's excited.

Hi!

DH and I have much of our 'stuff' on our bedroom chair as we're going to start packing this afternoon.

We're all so excited!

I'm making 'things to do' and 'things to pack lists' as I go along. (I actually found a list I began two months ago! Unplug coffee maker, pack extension cord, buy sunscreen, etc.)

Only 3 more days! (Until we leave, 4 days until we sail!)

Has anybody checked out the weather report for while we're gone? I just looked on weather.com and it says showers for both St. Maarten and St. Thomas and it looks as though there is no sun in sight!!!??? Is this a typical weather report for down there? I know I'll have a great time regardless of the weather, but sunshine would be nice!

On th local news this AM ( I live in S Florida ) it showed a Low pressure distrubance over the Caribbean, but they were expecting it to move off to the NE by the weekend...Should be smooth er.. sailing <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_2_117.gif' border=0></a>

I looked at St Thomas last night and it showed showers through the whole 10 day forcast.

Our first Disney Cruise it rained 4 out of the 7 days and we had a blast. It is all what you make of it.

7 days on DCL in the rain is way better than sitting at home in the sunshine!

All floor space in the bedroom taken up with suitcases...all doorknob space taken up with hanging clothes I am going to FORCE into my hanging garment bag...only 3 trips to Walmart I didn't think I needed to take that I already took and only 3 more days to forget something.

Then, it just won't matter because we'll be cruising!

Rain? It snowed here in Wyoming last night.. High today in the mid 40's.

Are we ready for a cruise yet? You betcha!

80 degree weather and partly cloudy will beat 40 degrees and 30 mph winds any day. Can't wait to get to the airport early friday morning for our 8:00 am flight. We're packed and ready to go!

Here's an update on our cruise....

I emailed Sandie at All Seasons to see if there was anyway to get a verandah room - I'm currently in a cat. 9. Well, the ship is 100% sold out - they are waitlisting for all room types. Needless to say I'll be fine with my oceanview room. I have been on a sold-out disney cruise and a disney cruise that had staterooms available prior to sailing and they both seemed to have the same number of people on board - you would never have known it was sold-out until you looked down the beach on Castaway Cay and realized how many others were sharing the ship with you!!! The port is going to be mighty busy Saturday morning!!!

Quirky Cruiser: WOW sold out, I guess I won't be getting that free upgrade

OMG it is sooo hard to concentrate at work. All I can think about is the cruise, not to mention I keep looking at the DIS boards when I should be working.

DH, DD and I went to the Michaels to get some supplies to decorate our room door. I think I am going to make Lime green DIS name tags for embarkation. So if you see a family of 3 in line with huge smiles on their faces and lime green DIS name tags come by and say hi.

Just got back from Will's 1st round little league playoff game, won 13 - 3. Next game, Friday, oh well. Hopefully have made the last trip to Target. For what I have spent on the cruise and getting ready for the cruise, I could have bought my own boat.

We're really getting excited now.

Poor Xlt800........he's still packing. However, he knows that if I was incharge.............I'd have already worked myself into a tizzy.....possibly in tears! (tchrmom thanks the heavens above for sending her XLT800 all those years ago )

Just need to get through Wed. and Thursday. Once Friday at noon comes.......we're out of here!

I was just thinking about what you said......about buying your OWN boat.............how true!

We THINK we can afford a cruise. The actual price that DCL quotes you is affordable, so you think.

But...........by the time you add new cruise clothes, and SHOES(!), $300.00+ for tips, spending money on the islands, excursions, drinks, various merchandise from Mickey Mates and Shutters, pre-cruise manicure and pedicure, numerous Target/Walmart runs...it gets EXPENSIVE!

I can't believe this is cruise #3 for us since 6/2002! XLT MUST love me!

Whew!

Had to take a break from packing tonight as I was starting to get a little overwhelmed. And when I do that, I can't think clearly, then I forget to pack something, then I stress...well you all get the picture?

Other than that, we're ecstatic!

tchrmom, how true about the actual cost of the cruise once all of the other extras (clothes, SHOES, shutters pics, etc.)

We're going for manicures and pedicures on Thursday.

Oh, and BTW, I took two pairs of shoes back to the mall. Can everyone believe the willpower I have? I sat in the car and really thought about it, and only took one pair inside. I couldn't bear to return the others!

Simbanoodle: I know what you mean about missing ball games--Jake is our first baseman (he'll pitch next year and through college if his Dad has anything to do with it!) Anyway, there are no games this weekend, but he'll miss the next two games next week and I hate to say it, but I have no idea who they are going to put at first base--plus David is their head coach and they don't play very well without him there (I think he scares them into staying focused!) Playoffs are the weekend we get back.

Mickeyhugger: Too funny about the shoes! I've got the mani/pedi thing scheduled for Thursday too--then I'll end up going back to work !

tchrmom: I think I'm going to unpack everything and repack all over again...I keep trying to convince myself if I do that, I'll have second thoughts about something and not put it back in a bag.

How will I EVER focus at work?

Just about done, need a couple loads of laundry done tonight to finish up. Now it is time to back up the U-Haul for the shoes. Only one more trip to the store.

I am having no trouble focusing at work. The problem is that the focus is on the cruise. Pretty bad when I get to work I check the disboard before my email.

I am on my way out the door for my manicure/pedicure because I am driving to Tampa to tchrmom"s house (daughter) to help her figure out how Dave is going to be able to load her shoes, granddaughter's and mine into their car and still leave room for us and all our suitcases.
So excited! See you all Sat. I got a lime green "Disney" paint sample-shaped like Mickey at Home Depot. I laminated it and will have it on my laniard to id myself. See you then. Anne

Not only do I have to finish packing but as you can see by the previous post, I have my MIL coming More shoes are coming my way. Maybe I should think about helping Fran clean the house too. Then again, I am too busy packing
