The link is not working for me But, we are SO excited about our first cruise!!! It will be me, Melissa, my DH Kevin, and children DD Madeline-15, DD Amelia-13, who will be bunking with my sister, DD Olivia-8, and DS Aiden-4.

Question- I see that no shorts are permitted at dinner...not even the dressy shorts for my 4 year old little guy? Any input would be appreciated

When we went on the cruise, I did see a lot of people with shorts on. Disney doesn't really push the issue with the dress code. I personally don't see a problem with your little guy wearing dressy shorts. I wore a nice blouse and capri's one night to dinner. My husband and kids wore polo's and dress shorts to dinner a couple nights also .No one said anything to us. There was also people that really dressed up. I think it is up to you. What you and your family feels comfortable with.

(Palo's does enforce the dress code from what I heard)

Whew life has been crazy but we are still around and looking forward to the cruise! We have not yet decided if we are doing the FE or not - is there a deadline?

I posted so long ago on the thread that I wanted to reintroduce myself. I'm Julie and my DH is Matt and we have 2 kids E (4) and AJ (will be 2 at cruising) and we are the Totten family. We don't post their names on the net so they will have to be known by initials for now.

I did apply to be in the FB group - thanks for starting and for closing the group!

We just booked this cruise. We had to change our plans we were on the members only cruise in September but my DH can't get vacation then we will try next year. We would like to participate in the FE on this cruise if it's not to late. Can't wait till cruise this is going to be the honeymoon we never got to take. This will be our first cruise.

We just booked this cruise yesterday. This will be our second Disney cruise and we can not wait. We did the FE exchange last time but with us booking so late not sure if we will join this time. I see we have a couple of weeks to make up our mind. Oh did I say that we are so excited.

It looks like there are 35 adults and 28 children as of right now. Actually we just decided to join the FE exchange, but our information isn't posted yet. So that would make it 39 adults and 29 children. It seems to be getting quite large, and there's still a month left to join.

I actually was thinking the same thing. This sounds fun and I'd love to participate; however, buying and bringing approx 70 gifts (39 adults and 29 children) is a lot of gifts to buy/make and bring. Am I thinking about this right...if not, someone please correct me. Such a fun idea, just needs to be manageable and affordable.

We went on the Dream last summer and had 12 rooms in our FE group, which was a perfect number. Someone earlier in this thread mentioned perhaps dividing the group if it got too large. When I sent Stacey my information, I suggested this might be a good idea.

But even if we keep the large group, you don't have to get something for everyone, if it's too much. Some people just get a family gift. Of course some go all out and have something for everyone, on 2 or more days. It's up to you. Last year we had a great group with a lot of homemade gifts.

So you bring gifts for each day too? Sorry, a little bit about the FE on some of these boards, but still think I'm confused. I definitely can't do for 70 folks and each day...yikes!

No, you don't have to bring something for each day. Some people do, though. We had a 5 day cruise; it was our first FE, and I went overboard, bringing 1 gift for each stateroom for 2 days and something for all the kids on a third day.

At least 2 others brought a handmade gift for all of us every day. One family gave out a nice picture frame for vacation photos. A couple of people made up a bag of interesting things unique to their cities for each room.

Like I said, you can do as much or little as you'd like.
