We're so jealous!!! We don't have ours yet--hopefully our travel agent has them and will be calling soon or be mailing them to us soon.

Can't believe we are at the 5 week mark before we head for the first part of this vacation--the week in Orlando. FE is done, FE gifts almost done, all the "extras" are purchased (I hope), starting to put stuff in suitcases we know we won't need between now and then. OMG getting sooooo excited!

For all of those of you that have your excursions and all booked--also jealous of you there too. Unfortunately we are in a wait and hold pattern on many of the excursions--not because of the cost of the excursion, but because we are fearful of if my shoulder with 3 tears in the muscle and one of the tendons will be able to handle the excursions--know I can't handle anything like jolting jeep rides. We are most likely going to do as we did on our honeymoon almost 8 years ago and spend time wandering the ports or heading to the Hard Rock Cafe in each to get our collectibles (pins and bears) at each, shopping, or just enjoying the beaches. We may still do the Salsa & Salsa--but would really love to be able to join y'al on the catamaran! Sooooo many things we'd like to do at each place, but we're also content with exploring the ship, enjoying the different locations, and just enjoying being with our BFF and each other in some place we don't have to worry about the everyday goings on.

Because the DISboards have been down for maintenance (which we can totally understand) there has been LOTS of chatter on our facebook page! Great questions and even better answers have been posed and we feel like we're learning a bit more each day about each other! Really helps us feel like we'll "know" someone on the ship when we get there.

I see that there is a "mini" meet scheduled at a restaraunt in Cape Canveral for those arriving the day before--it seems several of us will be in Orlando the day (week) before--if there's anyone that wants to meet up somewhere in Orlando that previous week, we're agreeable---just give us an idea of where and when!

Because we'll be there all week and will have our car with us, it won't be difficult to meet you wherever is convenient for you--if you're without wheels--I'd offer to come get ya'll and take you but don't know that we can fit the 4 of you plus the 3 of us in our Prius! LOL that would be TIGHT fit! and we'd all get to know each other real well in a hurry! So If you find a place you'd like to try, we're game!

We actually have spent a lot of time in Orlando-but usually at the parks or dance competitions! Let us hear in from some of our more Orlando savvy folks and then we'll pick something--Know that Dave will be checking all the "hotspots" to go as well. The one place I will refuse to go to is Planet Hollywood! The 3 times I've been there the service was horrible and the food worse! and the wait to get in we won't even talk about! That being said--we'll definitely plan to get with y'all and start our Meet the day before! (before the actual cruise that is!)

We are doing the same excursion in Grand Cayman. Our activity time is 1145-415. Is this the same as yours? We did this trip on our own many years ago and loved it. Looking forward to the kids experiencing it! We were uneasy about the short day in Grand Cayman as well so we chose to book through DCL. Our DD's are 17 and 13

Yes - its the same time slot. Nice our girls are similar ages too. I am SO glad to hear a positive experience with this excursion. I stewed over options with DCL & non-DCL before selecting this one. I wanted some snorkeling because 3 out of 4 of us like to snorkel and I sure hope we see lots of stingrays too since I decided not to select a specific Stingray City excursion since none seemed to include a good snorkel stop. Did you just eat lunch before you left the ship? Do you remember whether they had life vests for the snorkeling? Thanks for sharing.
