Our information is correct - time for me to start working on those postcards/recipes!

Has anyone brought their own water on board or have you been happy with the ship water? We are debating bringing a case of our own, but I know drinks are plentiful! I think we would mainly take them on shore excursions.

I usually bring a small amount of water. The water onboard is ok, but i use bottled water at home for my meds and such that I go ahead and use what I buy then if I run out I make do with their water.
The thing I will have a hard time not having onboard is my Chicken Express tea. I buy it by the gallon here at home and it is the best ever!!!

Last cruise we went on we bought water on board and at Castaway Cay and it is VERY expensive. 24 bottles of water is $35.00. I called Disney planning yesterday and asked about bringing water on and they told me that you can bring your own water on but unless it is actually packed in your suitcase it needs to be brought on in a bag that you need to carry on no bigger than 9 x 14 x 22.

Hope this helps

I know there is a water bottle that has the filter in it, just fill it with ship water and it filters it for you to drink. I forget what it's called, but a friend of mine has one for camping

My three DD's (Jacey 13, Kaylee 8, and Emily 6) suggested we get a thread going to help our kids meet and start friendships (via email, PM, or texting) before we sail. If anyone has kids that feel the same and would also like to start visiting now, please PM me or post to this thread with gender/age so other parents with similar children ages can PM to set up emails. Lets help our kids enjoy themselves and take away some of the anxiety that they won't have friends once they are cruising! :yay:

I would love to have my DD (Hannah 13) email your daughter before the cruise! PM me and let me know how to reach you!

I buy the water when we go to Walmart before we board the ship and usually have room to put it in one of our suitcases between clothes and such.

Hello Cruisemates!!!

We are super excited to be joining you all.. finally able to post on here too... So this maybe a "rerun" for those on the FB page...

This is our 1st Cruise...
DH and I are celebrating our 15th Anniversary (we honeymooned in Disney and have spent our 5 and 10 wedding anniversaries there)..
This is also that milestone 40 B day year for us...
DS (7) He will be 8 in June and keeps reminding us that this is his celebration too!

I am learning so much from everyone, so many great ideas...

See y'all real soon!!!!

Michelle

Now I need to get my ticker and signature up to speed!!!!
So much to do!!

Hey, I'm Savana, my mom is Yippeedcl. :cool2: I'll be 20 on the cruise. I was wondering if there is anyone "college aged"/18-21 (or there about) that may want to chat and get to know each other before we cruise?

According to the threads I've been reading, the more the "college aged" group is involved at the beginning of the cruise, (the first night there's a get together at The Tube, or so I've read) the more awesome stuff will be available for us to do. But, if no one really shows up or seems interested, then they won't bother planning anything for us. :sad2:

Does anyone have any ideas that might be fun to do?

Awesome!! Since there is only us at the moment, do you want to communicate through here? Or we could message or Facebook or something? Anything is fine with me. I'm super excited about this cruise! :woohoo:

Our cabin will be 7182. We upgraded to another category. Originally had a 9C GTY but did not realize that limited you to a block of cabins in the front of the ship. My BIL (who uses a wheelchair) and my DS were in aft so we upgraded to a 7A. Looking forward to the cruise. Will need to start thinking about packing soon. I know people have been discussing ages of people on the cruise. My DS turns 17 on the cruise. :bday:

Both of my daughters are traveling with us (ages 23 and 20). Right now they are both very involved with school and studying for finals so if you can just post if you know of anything going on for your age group or if any one comes up with ideas to get together I will pass them on to them. Thanks :)

Where is the Walmart on the way to the port from Disney?

It is off of the main highway if you are coming up from Disney. (582?) sorry not good with the roads. You see huge signs for it as you are travelling to the port. ( it is about 10 minutes away.) Right side of the highway. hth

I've booked a non-DCL jet-ski tour with Ebanks Watersports to stingray city and Snorkling at the barrier reef while we are at Grand Cayman. Has anyone ever done this before? I'd love to get some feedback. I saw some great reviews about a company called Fat Fish, but they didn't have a tour that would fit within the time frame that we would be in port. Fat Fish referred me to Ebanks.

We're doing the Fury Catamaran Sail and Snorkle with DCL in Cozumel at 8:45. Anybody else doing this? I would love to see some DISers :)

In Costa Maya, we're just going to walk around for a bit and shop.

What is everyone else doing?

Laura
