We went from Category 9 to Category 6! Now have a verandah. My only concern is we were on deck 2 and now on deck 6, near Aft elevators. Since we have never cruised before, I am a little nervous about seasickness. Do you think we will be okay?

I just checked our cruise plans and it looks like we were upgraded to a cat 5! It's essentially in the same location on the ship just one floor up.![]()

We are also on deck six aft near the back. I worry about seasickness too. Lets keep our fingers crossed!

Hi everyone. My dh (37) and I (32) have been lurking for a while on this site but haven't been brave enough to post yet (we're quite shy..not after a couple of cocktails though)
We will also be on this cruise, we booked in February this year. Very very excited. We married a couple of years ago at Disneyworld and haven't had the opportunity to visit again since (I have been a few times with my folks over the years but the wedding was my dh's first experience of Disney..he is now as hooked as me..thankfully)
I just checked the disney website and have found that we have been blessed with the ole pixie dustCat 12 - cat 6. Over the mooooooon! Can't believe we have a verandah
I can see lovely lazy (hopefully sunny) mornings ahead with room service brekkie- lush!
We cruised last year with RCCL - which we loved but only had an inside cabin so this has made our year. I can't stop hopping about on my seat at work I am just so excited. (My colleagues think I am nuts lol)
We have enjoyed following this thread and have got lots of tips for excursions so thank you. We are doing DIY on all days. (tight budget plus we don't like rigid plans and like to see how we feel on the day)
Happy Cruising everyone and hope you all recieve some pixie dust!!![]()
That is AMAZING!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I have never heard of them going from more than one room type (inside, outside, verandah) in an upgrade (so they would go from inside to outide or outside to verandah--but inside to varandah is something i have previously believed impossible). You are so lucky--how wonderful for you![]()

Thank you. We are so chuffed... however I am starting to feel quite bad for those cruisers who booked and paid for verandahs and yet haven't been upgraded. That would really suck!![]()
I think it is definitely worth the upgrade to a veranda for me, but I will be taking some precautions to avoid the possibility of seasickness!!
Deb-where are you from in Maryland? I grew up in Virginia, but live out West now! My husband grew up in Ellicott City, Md.
