May 26, 2010--5/26/2010 10 Night Mediterranean

Hi everyone. My dh (37) and I (32) have been lurking for a while on this site but haven't been brave enough to post yet (we're quite shy..not after a couple of cocktails though :rotfl:)
We will also be on this cruise, we booked in February this year. Very very excited. We married a couple of years ago at Disneyworld and haven't had the opportunity to visit again since (I have been a few times with my folks over the years but the wedding was my dh's first experience of Disney..he is now as hooked as me..thankfully )
I just checked the disney website and have found that we have been blessed with the ole pixie dust :cool1: Cat 12 - cat 6. Over the mooooooon! Can't believe we have a verandah :yay: I can see lovely lazy (hopefully sunny) mornings ahead with room service brekkie- lush!
We cruised last year with RCCL - which we loved but only had an inside cabin so this has made our year. I can't stop hopping about on my seat at work I am just so excited. (My colleagues think I am nuts lol)
We have enjoyed following this thread and have got lots of tips for excursions so thank you. We are doing DIY on all days. (tight budget plus we don't like rigid plans and like to see how we feel on the day)

Happy Cruising everyone and hope you all recieve some pixie dust!! :cheer2::dance3:

Welcome!! I just love your DisName!! Hope you had a chance to check out our website and facebook page!

Hello! I live in Carroll County Maryland about 15 minutes from Ellicott City!! What a small world. What part of Virginia?

I grew up in Charlottesville (home of UVA); my parents are still there so we go back every year:) It is a small world. Have you ever heard of an artist in Ellicott City named Alice Webb? She is a good friend of my husband's family.

Sorry that wasn't my intention..I had been reading the comments on the fb group about room assignments and it was starting to make me feel bad for my luck.

Hope pixie dust lands on everyone :thumbsup2 Its going to be a fabulous cruise :)

No worries, you're fine! :rotfl: And yes, it will be fabulous!

we also got pixie dusted and will be joining the party as cat 9s on deck 2:cheer2: Unfortuantely we will be spread waaaaay far apart with one cabin almost all the way aft and the other almost all the way fore (2010 and 2140).

That's crazy why don't you speak to them as you would surely prefer to be nearer your kids! I know that I would certainly try for that

I agree, Tracey although Disney might tell them, "you can't be in one cabin and your kids in another. There needs to be one adult in each cabin."

Oh my! But congrats on getting a porthole! Ok, maybe not the solution you want to hear, but if the rooms sleep 4, use one room for sleeping, and use the 2nd to store all those suitcases and for that second shower and bathroom when needed. I thought about adding another cat 12 myself just for that reason! Only bad thing for us is that it won't even be on the same deck since we are on deck 8.

We're a family of 4 from North Carolina. DS is 11 and DD will turn 9 during the cruise. For convenience we've booked the ABD add-on. Has anyone else on the boards booked this package?

Where in NC. I lived and taught school there for many years. Still have lots of family there.

Hi vpandkids. I'm signed up for the ABD add-on for the cruise before yours (May 15). I'll be doing a detailed Trip Report, but it won't be in time for you! The add-on sounds wonderful, and I'm really looking forward to it. There's a couple of other families on the May 15 ABD add-on from here on the DIS.

Have you ever done an ABD before?

Sayhello

We just found out our room assignment. It's on deck 7, room #7009. If someone has cruised before and had a room around here, could you give me an idea how you liked it? We're happy to be on deck 7, just would like to hear if anyone has stayed in this area and how did you like it! Makes it a little more real now knowing your cabin number!!! lol

I am on the waiting list. But I am not too encouraged.

Hi Deb,
Here is the stateroom report from a few past cruisers. http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/roomreport.cfm?Room=7009
You are in a great location for access to the adult only areas on deck 9! :thumbsup2
