Hi All -

Thanks to everyone for making this such a great cruise- from the gifts that kept showing up and my door to the parties (even if there was a shortage of togas, Peter) to the sweet dreams party (sorry to be late Tracey but I did go to dinner first). It was wonderful to meet so many of you.

And to the little girl that is collecting postcards - I couldn't rember who I was looking for so the postcards came back with me. If you PM me with an address I'll be happy to mail you mine from Michigan.

Tracey/Jenn - do you have the recipe for the vanilla martinis - those were the BEST!!! Thanks for introducing me to them.

Back to laundry - and sorting photos.

Well, sad to say, I'm back in the real world!!::eek:
Just wanted to thank everyone for making this such a memorable trip!!
You were all such a great group of people!!
Personal thanks will go out later when I think more of us might be conscience!
:grouphug: Rita

We're back safe and sound....and TIRED! I just wanted to thank everyone for all the wonderful goodies I received in my fish extender. I can't tell you how many of the items turned out to be incredibly useful. And some of you guys came up with some very clever ideas that I just may steal from you on future cruises. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you! It was great meeting all of you.

Sandy, I do have the vanilla martini recipe, but I have to find it first. It's very simple...just equal parts 5 ingredients. I remember 4 and have to look up the 5th. One of them - vanilla ice cream mix -may be a little hard to get, but we can always look online. As soon as I finish unpacking and find it, I will post it for you.

:sad2: Is it really true? Is it really over? Am I really at work right now? My body may be, but my mind is still somewhere in the beautiful blue Mediterranean! Thank you everyone for all of the wonderful fish extender gifts! :thanks: Guess it's time to tackle the real world again. :laundy: What do you mean I can't have 3 appetizers, 2 main courses and 3 desserts? What do you mean I have to make my own bed? Waaaahhh!!! :(

I think my mind is a little more clear today!
I want to thank everyone for the great goodies im my fish extender! A special thanks goes out to all of you who remembered the kids seperately! I think that was really thoughtful!
We bought some masks in Florence and had kept the box we had brought the wine in. DH said if only we had a rubber band, "Wait! What about that great little bag of stuff that was in the FE?" So, a big thank you from my DH goes out to First Timers, you are truly wise!:)
Susan and Bob, thank you for the fans!
As I unpack, Im sure I will have many more thank yous!
I am definitely going to have chunky scrapbooks this time!
Yes, I do save everything!
Rita

We are finally home. Kind of a hectic day today though! Our flight out of Barcelona was delayed this morning because of a computer problem in Zurich. But our flight out of Zurich was on time. Our time between flights - 45 minutes with a 20 minute transfers to another terminal, through security again where they wanted to check one of my bags twice (turned out to be a camera lens). Customs was super easy in Chicago and got home just after 7pm. Bags are unpacked, but nothing is put away LOL.

Thanks everyone for everything!! We had a great time!!

Home after a long flight as expected. Only a few delays out of Philly to Florida getting us home near 1am. UGH! Completely exhausted from the travel and ignoring the suitcases til later today. Spent yesterday decompressing and still need a few more days of that.

Thanks to everyone for your kindness and amazing fish-gifts! :) Breighton loved all his little trinkets too! He is feeling all better and adjusted very quickly to the time change....except he got up at 5am today! BUGGER!

Came home to too many headaches and trying to wrap my tired head around them just isnt working. Lawn mower broke, fish tank issues, alarm system is all wiggy... can I go back on vacation? PLEASE! Not to mention DH laptop harddrive had a brain-fart and dumped nearly half of our photos... hopefully we can recover SOME of them... looks like Olbia was the worst hit! :(

Take care and keep in touch!

Welcome Home everyone :sad2:

Thank you to everyone for the little surprises in the fish mail. To those kids interested in post cards. I finally found them in the luggage when I was packing to go home. PM me your address and I'll get the postcards out to you. NEVER did find the remote to the TV. Room host thinks he rolled it up in the sheets.

Luggage is unpacked and laundry is waiting to be done. Kids went back to school yesterday and DD is sadly doing Geography report on El Salvador (Why couldn't her teacher have assigned Italy or France?). She's sad because today is her 13th birthday.

Broke the budget in Barcelona on shoes. DD and dsis's and I had a great time shoe shopping. House of Bones and Sagrada Familia were incredible. Touristic bus turned out to be a great means of seeing everything. We purchased the discount booklet in our hotel and used the coupons for entrance fee discounts.

Ron, a special thanks to you and Monica for allowing the wine tasting in the suite. We had a great time.

Hi Everyone

Shari and I are still trying to get over the colds we caught on the Med cruise.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for a great cruise. Special thanks to Tracy and Dreams Unlimited for the nice pj party - thanks to Ron for opening up the Roy suite to us and thanks to Celeste for the great tour of Florence and Pisa.

I also wanted to thank everyone who bought stuff from Cafepress. The sales for the crossing and the Med cruise raised over $300 for the Arthritis Foundation. Thanks for the support.

Ken

Just to say say thanks for all the neat things left in our fish extender. Many now on our refrigerator, but some in our tummy. It was a great cruise and the DIS Board made it more memorable. Have to leave again on Wed so mostly unpacking, washing and repacking. Again thanks to all.

Was I on the Magic for 11 days? :confused3

Could someone please verifiy this for me?
What a fast paced trip, with hardly anytime to enjoy the ship.

Was like floating Hotel.. :happytv:

If I met you, Remind me again, Co co :rotfl:

:rotfl:

Honestly, We had a great time!!!

Just is not the type of cruise we are use to more down time. :rotfl:

Thanks to To everyone, for everything!

Alex - when I needed the band aid for the Blister - You where there!!! ;)

Snack - we had excursion mix!!

We now have a new magnet on the Fridge to remember the trip...

Special Thanks to Dreams Unlimited for sponsoring the PJ party.
Lots of people received great gifts, from Spa Gift cards to t shirts and Bags.

One lucky Diser, Did very well!! ;) :woohoo:

Also, Dreams Unlimited Had all the clients to Palo for brunch - worked out well as we had not gotten a reservation online!

Also every Diser received a green Dis bag just for being a member of the Dis.
And the Dreams clients received the way Kewl soft sided cooler with the Inaugural Med Logo on it.

Thanks to them for making this Cruise a big deal.

I could go on and on!

Yes, Peter you were on the Magic for 11 days, we can verify.

Of course can someone please verify that we were on the Magic for 25 days!, it seems like we should be leaving soon the luggage is still here.

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone for making this the magical trip it was. From the lanyards, the FE gifts (some real creativity out there), the suite tour, the PJ breakfast to the Sweet Dreams party (Gordy loves his Dreams Unlimited "sleeping bag"), our Dis friends helped make the trip.

Work didn't waste any time in trying to take the luster off, 2 B2B night meetings the first day back.

Thanks again to everyone, I'm sure we'll meet on future cruises. (Jenn, yes we booked the 5 night)

Dale, Bob and Gordy:wave2: :wave2:

I just want to thank each and every person that helped to make this cruise so very special...all the little gifts and goodies were just wonderful!

Scott and I are so grateful for being included!!!

Peter and Jenn, I'll take the credit that I was the Diser that made out the best!! Winning the spa cert from Tracy (THANK YOU TRACY!!) and then with you gifting me, and being treated like you all had always known me was just great and I could never thank all of you enough!!
And Ron and Monica opening up their "home", awesome!
Although he's not Disney, but I think he should be, as Donkey says
"LETS DO THAT AGAIN!!"

I would also like to thank everyone for a great trip:

We really enjoyed seeing what new magnet/goody would be waiting for us when we retured to our rooms every day! very fun indeed!

Also a big thanks for the lanyards, t-shirt designs, and green bracelets. we both made good use of ours!

Thank you to Ron and Monica for hosting the Toga Party in their beautiful suite!

Dreams Unlimited and Tracy...what a great PJ party... we are sorry we ruined the theme and came in our "semi-formal" attire. We enjoyed our Rainforest Spa passes tremendously and fully plan on booking through you the next time we cruise (cross your fingers for the eatbound repo next year)

And to everyone else for making this trip so much more memorable than others in the past. As 2 sisters travelling alone, it is much nicer to have a larger group of friends to hang out with when you are cruising. i hope we can all do it again soon!

Hello everyone. Well i must say i am very glad to be back in the States. Thank you all the people who put things in our fish extenders it helped put a smile on our faces. My mom became sick the first day on the cruise by the third day i little worse by the 4th day even worse. The medical center is awesome being a nurse it exceeded my standards. They ended up putting an iv in her and giving iv antibiotics and placed on oxygen which she has never had. So once after rome didn't do anymore excursions. they wanted her to be seen in laspezia but was nervous if was seen there they would not release her back to the ship. so as a group with the dr. decided to continue to treat her on the boat. When they did an xray on the ship they saw pneumonia and a left lung mass that was never there before. So the rest of the trip was spent trying to get an earlier flight home, Never was able to . Setting upoxygen for the flight got it for the long part thank god. After we got off the ship and at thehotel her conditon worsen all we wanted to do was get her home to the states. We finally made it back to the states. Florida. She is in the hospital was severly dehyrdrated and today they are going to do a lung biopsy. We are praying for the best outcome today. Thanks again for placing smiles on our faces during a difficult time cindy

I am so sorry to hear your mom ended up getting sick on your cruise. I hope she is well or will be real soon.:grouphug:

Welcome back everyone. I have been reading some blogs and some reviews from you first time cruisers.

Were there cabs/vans/taxis available at all the ports. I am thinking of cancelling our excursion in LaSpezia. I have not been able to get the VIP Pisa or the morning Pisa tour w/dcl. I have emailed two tour guides.

I might have to take my chances on the ship (for cancellations) or do you think we can grab a taxi/van (we are five)?

Thank you all so much. Looking forward to reading more :)

Cindy, I'm so sorry to hear this! I had heard about this in La Spezia, but I didn't know it was you. Lots of pixie dust, hugs and prayers to you and her for the best outcome today!
