What a quiet board this has been.......guess we all have such busy lives. Speaking of which, I'm off to Vegas tomorrow....4 nights at Caesar's, tickets to Celine and Cirque du Soleil's "Love". Best of all, I think our son may be able to drive from LA and join us over the weekend....should be great! We're not renting a car....any suggestions where to eat on the strip?

Jeanneg...
Go have a great time in Vegas! Hope you have the time your with son ! You should have some wonderful weather while youre there! :sunny:

I am so excited to find this thread. We live in central Florida and our booked on the May 26 Med Cruise. This is our first cruise and first time to Europe so we are jumping in with both feet. My husband, daughter (5 years old) and both sets of grandparents will be along for this "generational cruise". Looking forward to learning all the tricks and tips from all of you experienced cruisers out there.

You are so smart! Were you standing in line and happen to look up and it seemed familiar? it stands for Space Mountain Station in the year of 1977 when it came to DL.

Glad you had a great trip and we will definitely see you when you return!

Welcome aboard ronunc! This has been a quiet thread, but I'm sure it will pick up after the first of the year.

Welcome ronunc! :grouphug:

I know we are all going to have a blast on the cruise!
I think wineotracy is keeping track of the names and rooms for this cruise
look for her about page 20 or so and PM her... she'll add you and your family to the list. :thumbsup2

So there are you staying in Barcelona before the cruise? DH and I are staying only 1 day before at Grand Marina.

Once again... welcome :wave2:

Welcome ronunc! Glad to have you join us......(Are you a Carolina alumnus?) We've been pretty quiet here, but I expect we'll really get going once the holidays are over

Heading off to DL to see the new holiday decorations and the new parade today, its always beautiful!

Christmas at Arlington and one big, American thank-you is certainly due to Merrill Worcester and the Worcester Wreath Co. of Harrington, Maine. To do something like this year after year is above and beyond the call of duty. Here's a salute to you, Merrill, and I hope you get many more.

I had never heard of this. I have only visited in the summer months. I wonder why the press hasn't enlightened the public about it?

Rest easy, sleep well my brothers.

Know the line has held, your job is done.

Rest easy, sleep well.

Others have taken up where you fell, the line has held.

Peace, peace, and farewell...

Readers may be interested to know that these wreaths -- some 5,000 -- are donated by the Worcester Wreath Co. of Harrington, Maine. The owner, Merrill Worcester, not only provides the wreaths, but covers the trucking expense as well. He's done this since 1992. A wonderful guy. Also, most years, groups of Maine school kids combine an educational trip to DC with this event to help out. Making this even more remarkable is the fact that Harrington is in one the poorest parts of the state.

You hear too much about the bad things people do. Everyone should hear about this!
