SFO-JFK-BCN round trip for me was $1094.
JFK-BCN round trip for dad was $734.

Hi everyone,

JFK - BCN - $734 - wow, I hope we can get something close to this airfare non/stop also for our cruise. I am expecting it to be around $1,000 each.

Why would it not be about the same ?? :goodvibes

Hi Everyone working on Air this Week, should know by thursday night ! :thumbsup2

I now know 2 things it is either going to be Delta flight # 94 or Continental :surfweb:

Both arrive about the same time ! ;)

But we did get the room booked !!!

Hi Jeanneg

Ask your daughter if she knows Jill R. from Scranton? I think she is a senior this coming year and is a science major. We love Beth., especially the Moravian Book Store and the Beth. Brew Works. We were at the Brew Works on Saturday evening for dinner.

Renegade,

British Airways had some decent airfare out of Philly, you may want to check out the prices before you book your dad's airfare. Philly is so much easier than going out of JFK. I familar with the back mountain. My cousin lives in WB and I'm originally from Scranton.

You guys have to check out Andrew UK's thread. He had a lot of useful hyperlinks for traveling to Spain.

Thanks - but we already booked out tickets. It will take dad about 1 hour longer to travel to JFK for a direct flight. We are meeting in NY and flying over together.

I had been planning to book the direct flight from JFK for my MIL but that British Airways fare from Philly was too good to pass up :teeth: . Even though she must change planes at Heathrow, the savings were really good! :yay: The rest of us have booked going from our regional airport to Atlanta - Atlanta to Dusseldorf (both on Delta) and then to Barcelona (Spanair). Not crazy about chaning in Dusseldorf but it was a lot less expensive than other options.

Hi all!

Just found this thread and have read through most of it--we'll be on this cruise as well (Deb and Kim, staying in a Cat. 7)

This is our first DCL cruise. Actually, it's our first cruise, period--nothing like jumping right in! :teeth: And this is my first post (though I've been lurking for a while now).

Our plan at the moment is to fly in a day before and fly out a day after, and so our next step is to settle on flights and hotels. We're coming and going from Chicago-O'Hare and will share if we find anything good.

We are REALLY looking forward to this cruise!
I've been to Rome and Florence before, and several other places Europe (Deb), but my partner (Kim) has never been, so it is quite exciting.

Thanks for all the good stuff in these posts!

My first double post - so I saved the one with the corrected spelling :rotfl:

Welcome to all the additions to our group since May.

I haven't been around much the last couple months - work got real hectic right before our trip to Alaska and then I had to catch up once I got back. Alaska was WONDERFUL and can't wait to go back but now the focus on the MED!!! Brought out the tour books tonight. I can't believe it is less than 10 months - lol.

We decided to do Barcelona area before the cruise (been to DLP already) and no side trip after, just home.

I didn't see this posted anywhere and sorry if it is repititious (sp) - The Travel Channel Samatha Brown - Pasport to Europe is now on Thursday nights at 8pm ET. I've seen Provence and Barcelona already but hope to see more before I have to start making ecursion decisions.

Hi Sandy,

We've been watching her show too. We watch every morning. So far we've traveled to Barcelona, Cannes, Nice, Monte Carlo, and Rome. Samantha is such a good tour guide! :teeth:

There are some walking trips I know we are doing. :cool1:

Welcome to all newbies...as if Im old here! :lmao:

And 10 months to go!

Ann

I have a trivia question for you......

What is SMS-077?

Anybody worried about flying to Spain next year?

I don't think worried but definately thinking about more today than earlier in the week. I am considering airlines other than United.

I'm glad I haven't purchased any tickets yet, but then once I start putting down non-refundable $$ I buy trip insurance. I will be looking for the "I just changed my mind" insurance this time so if peace of mind gets the better of me at the last minute I have limited my losses.

Thank goodness the plan was foiled!!
