May 23, 2011 - The UNOFFICIAL "The Bachelorette" - NO SPOILERS, please!

Ok, so tonight I keep flipping channels, took the garbage out, laundry...just not into the show..Ashley is a drag..at least based on tonights editing.

I know - I was going to watch, but it makes DH grump anyway, and it wasn't interesting at all from the first minute - we took the dog for a walk and when we came back, I didn't even feel like I missed anything - ended up not watching.

I can't believe Ashley's comments to Lukas. She simply regurgitated what Blake said to her about relationships that are instantly passionate (like with Bentley) may burn out eventually and she wants to go slow. Although her body language showed she was clearly uncomfortable about being nailed that it was so obvious she liked Bentley.

She's gotten more fake as the show has gone on. What are we, in week 4?

Yay! William the 30 yr old BOY has gone home! :dance3:

Did people see how immature he is? From ratting out Ben C, to the fact that later, he just assumed things were fine and he was getting a rose, to actually admitting he DOESN'T WANT TO GROW UP. :sad2: The immaturity and lack of depth was just so evident in his eyes. :sad2: He was basically CLUELESS until Ashley told him she just doesn't feel it for him anymore. He was so full of himself, he lacked the depth & empathy to understand where she was at.

And in the end, in the limo ride, all he could think of was how he'd go back home to nothing. That was more important than WHO Ashley was and whether they were compatible.

THAT is why he threw her under the bus at the roast. His eyes were fixed on the fortune & fame of being a comedian so he could get out of that hole.

He was more concerned about not wanting to crawl back into the dark hole that HE created into his life.

(Can you tell I have a bug about boy/men? :rolleyes1 )

So last week they teased us and said Bentley was coming back this week.:confused3

She is a total mess. And I totally agree these dates are a mess. Next week looks like a totally train wreck but editing can be trick us. I thought some of these guys should have ran away a long time ago.

Man, this show has become absolutely useless and it's only the beginning. At this point I don't care WHO she picks, they could all do better.

I still like JP, Micky and even poor little Ames, but all of these guys could do SO much better than an insecure pity party little girl.

William... not even worth mentioning. What ticked me is that she just took his word for it and sent Ben packing. Her own insecurities will be the end of her.

No one seems to have a real connection with her, they all just sort of want to compete. And the whole Bentley thing is soooo contrived, it's not even worth the film it's stored on. :surfweb:

So glad to see William leave! What a jerk he turned out to be! I also can't believe Ashley just took his word for what Ben supposedly said.

And do they really expect us to believe that none of the guys have told Ashley yet about what a jerk Bentley is and how he had said he didn't even like her? They are always throwing each other under the bus. Even if Chris and all the cameramen, lighting guys, etc didn't tell her for the sake of drama, one of the guys would tell her so she'd stop pining for him and have some fun! It's just so fake and tedious to watch. :headache: And yet, I keep watching! :happytv:

Ack! I finally saw a bit of last night's show. Good grief, she is becoming more and more of a train wreck as the weeks progress. I really thought her insecurities from Brad's season were simply due to him and the simple fact that she was competing with other women. Sadly, this insecurity seems to be her personality which baffles me why she agreed to the show in the first place. :confused3 She has flipping 20 guys tripping over themselves to be with her yet she wants the one who got away. Textbook.

I cannot believe she sent home (rather nastily too) Ben due to what William said on the two on one date. For someone who is so bent on the guys being honest with her, she certainly isn't very forthcoming with how obsessed she is with Bentley. What a freaking weird season this is! Sigh, and last summer was so good with Ali and Roberto.

Completely agree. I do not find manboys attractive at all. William was a perfect example...immature, clueless and wrapped up in himself. I'm glad she sent him packing, the shocked look on his face was priceless!

Ugh, can you imagine these poor guys watching the show now? They're probably vomiting everytime they see Ashley on the screen going on incessantly about Bentley.

Man, this show has become absolutely useless and it's only the beginning. At this point I don't care WHO she picks, they could all do better.

This is probably one of the worst seasons and I've watched them all, lol! I don't care who she picks either. Actually, I'm starting to think a lot of those guys are too good for her anyway. She is high maintenance, isn't she?

JP, Ames and Mickey are my favs too but again, I think they're too good for Ashley.

I was stunned that she was so annoyed by what William told her regarding Ben. The irritation was all over her face when she told him she was sending him home NOW. Nice.

Yup, her insecurities are completely overshadowing any kind of relationship she could enter into with these guys. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

So glad to see William leave! What a jerk he turned out to be! I also can't believe Ashley just took his word for what Ben supposedly said.

Ya, William needed to go about two episodes ago. Actually, if a man that was supposedly interested in me told me my chest was too small, well, that'd be the end of that relationship! Clueless little school boy.

You're right, it is coming across extremely scripted and badly acted for that matter!

never thought I'd say it, but I miss Chantal, lol...while she was a hot mess most of the time, at least she wasn't a kill-switch.

This show has become ridiculous.

It always was & of course it's scripted but GOOD LORD. I feel like writing ABC. I want $$$ as compensation for all the hours of my life I can't get back.

I'm willing to give The Bachelor one more chance: but if this is the crap they're dishing out, forget it. I'll still be hanging around on this thread cause I like you guys :) but I'll watch highlights & read about it instead. I can't waste any more time watching it live.

Ashley is SO insecure it's painful. Honey, knock it off!!!!

No surprise, the ratings for last night's show slipped 8% again, two weeks in a row.

I guess they can depend on the fact that the Bach franchise has diehards (like me!) but Ashley and her Debbie Downer act is about as attractive as an active beehive.

So true! Her insecurity is painful, it's like watching someone try to make a decision when they're totally incapable of making one. I've watched all the seasons and while I knew that most of it was scripted, I could still sort of believe that some people were there to find a meaningful relationship. But this season? No way. Ashley is getting more annoying each episode and someone upthread mentioned how she says the word "per-FECT", it's sooo distracting and valley girl. I can't stand it.

Even with all of my complaining this season, I'll still tune in for the next installment. Apparently I'm a glutton for punishment.

This irritated me beyond belief. She didn't even give him a chance to explain himself or defend himself in any way. For all she knows William just made that up on the fly. She is by far the most irritating, stupid person they have ever had on that show. I would take the Wes's and Michelle's before her because at least they were honest about who they were.

She is never, ever going to be happy in any relationship until she gets some counseling. She will sabotage herself every time. What a waste of a season.

Seriously! And they'll be choosing from this group of guys for next season? :faint: I think I'll be watching highlights and reading this thread and Reality Steve's blog up until the last two episodes since I like the locations of the overnight dates.

Watching now - Ben F - what an awkward kiss - if they feel so much why are the kisses so forced

Ames - my first impression was too much drama, but he definitely has his bell rung, and I'm not sure he should be let loose. I wonder what kind of care they have in Thailand anyway.

Ben C - Wow - she must have just been looking for an excuse anyway - how does she just accept what William said without even talking to Ben about it.

William - he's really self centered too - and he does need to grow up. All the comedy is probably a cover up for his insecurities. He needs to stop feeling sorry for himself and figure it out.

And then there's Ashley - ME - ME - ME -it is going to have to be someone totally selfless to work with her

Why doesn't Chris just show her the tape :headache:

The Disney commercials are way more fun than the show. Yawnnn

No wonder the producers wanted Bently back. This show is taking a fast nosedive. I see no conection or spark between her and any guy.

I do like JP. I think he'd make a good batchelor.

Now that she's actually seen the show, has she commented about Bently?

I was wondering the same thing about Ben C. She jumped on the what William said awfully quickly. I bet if it was JP or Ryan who had been accused of the same thing, she would have confronted them and asked if it was true and for their side of the story.

Maybe she had planned on getting rid of William in the two on one, but when William immaturely gave her a way to get rid of Ben, too, she jumped on it first?:scratchin

William was just so smug, thinking he had won over Ben C. I bet Ashley knew since the roast that he was toast. He showed how much of a manchild he was then.

On Criminal Minds, the FBI profilers say the hardest thing to predict about a suspect is his/her age, because his mental & emotional age & maturity may be very different from his chronological age. William is a classic text book example.

Hmm, well there's an idea. They saw this show going south right after all the guys got out of the limo. What it Ashley said she didn't like anyone from the start? :upsidedow So the producers cooked up this whole Bentley lovefest up.

I don't think Ashley has ended up with anyone. There would have been publicity about it by now. It's just as well if that's the case. She's too needy and insecure. She needs to find herself some more and get some therapy.

What if she ends up with Bentley? He comes back next week swearing that he realized he does love her after all. That it started out as a game for him. But, after he left, he realized he really loves her. Now, that will take some acting. :rolleyes1

I'm waiting for Harrison to say, "Stay tuned for The Worst episode in Bachelorette history!"

I'm not sure I've wanted to slap someone thru the tv more then I do Ashley. What a crapfest.
