May 23, 2009 (5/23/09) E. Caribbean w/Tortola

I'm curious if everyone from the boards meets up on the ship sometime?

:woohoo::woohoo:

I hope we plan a meet! I did this on my first cruise (just my ds and I) and it was So nice meeting up the first day. I ran into the same few families all during the cruise. It was nice knowing others on the cruise.

Just finished the FE bags today!!!!!!!Woo Hoo!!

My bet is yes. It wasn't that bad last time, it went very quick. I heard that they are trying to do things different so we won't have to do this anymore. We go to Tortola first so we will likely have to go through customs in St. Thomas.

If they had just switched the days, St Thomas first, then we wouldn't have had to. :sad2:

We will definitely all meet at the sailaway party. And we'll always be bumping into one another throughout the cruise.
A lot of times we share tables at some of the clubs when we see others from the Boards, too.

I sure hope to meet. I thought we were planning on meeting before or after the drill. Earlier in the board, we were able to save off a green mickey that we can all print to display on ourselves to "catch" each other. I'm still having trouble getting our names on ours. I'm caught up in FEs right now!

My 16 year old daughter still needs clothes. Our last cruise (Princess, :sad2:) Taylor was just 14 and got offered drinks. She normally dresses modestly but that girl in a bikini, Sheez! :scared1:I'm having my girlfriend take her shopping because I just can't do it. She hates everything I like and I get a lot of eye-rolling. So I'm OUT. And if Daddy took her, she'd be in heaven because she's got him wrapped around that little finger of hers.

More good news. Jon and I ordered our new wedding bands yesterday. :bride:We're melting down the old ones and a few things from his grandfather and mother and my grandmother so it really is a family thing for us. All of that history is good karma :hippie:. There's a swirl in them that reminds me of the DCL logo.

We have a dress for the little one but the big one will be harder. Jon needs a new suit (we're thinking light linen).

Good morning,

Has any one seen any recent Eastern Navigators?

Joanne, I haven't seen them, but was thinking about that last night. Also wondering if they're going to have the staggered dining times. Maybe Tracy knows. She's the Queen!

Attention everyone!!!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

1:00 in the morning last night and I had the BEST idea!!!!!

I think we need to plan for all of us to get together for "Match Your Mate" in Rockin' Bar D.
We would need the cooperation of one of our newlywed couples. Or if they're shy, we probably have some happily married couple of about 20 years.
I was thinking that the early diners would head to RBD right after the main show, and the late diners as soon as they're finished eating. Grab a bunch of tables together and make lots of noise so our newlywed couple gets on stage. It really is FUN!!! And PRIZES!!!

My husband and I were on there once as the "middle" couple, married 20-some years. My parents were on it as the couple married the longest once, and my daughter & her husband were on last summer as newlyweds.

I can clue you in on some of the questions ahead of time!

So....what do you think???? Newlyweds???? Everyone????

Yeah, I am sure we will do a meet, just need to set the time, place. I already have our name tags done, just need to put pins on the back or wear them in our lanyards.

Good idea about having your friend take your dd shopping!!! :thumbsup2 I LOVE what you are doing with your wedding bands. How special that is going to be. Gotta love that there is a little dcl in there as well! I think it's a great idea to have a family thing for the rings, i would have never thought of that!!

I haven't seen any recent navigators yet, I have some printed out from January.

34 days until the cruise!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Stace! The last Eastern Navigator I saw was from our cruise in December, 2008. Since this is a new itinerary, I think the April 25 would be the best one to look at.

I just checked the DIS and here is one from a St. Croix sailing http://www.wdwinfo.com/Photos/DCL-Navigators/02-28-09-Magic.pdf and here is one from a St. Maarten sailing http://www.wdwinfo.com/Photos/DCL-Navigators/1-17-09-dm/index.htm. We will have staggered dining times. They are only the same on the Wonder for the 3 and 4 night sailings.

And YES....we are planning our DIS MEET at the sailaway party, right after the lifeboat drill.

Deck 10, Midship, Starboard......wear your green Mickey tags if you have them!!!

Starboard is fun because we can wave at the CM's at port, wearing their big Mickey hands.
That's also looking down at the party below.
Anyone with kids who want to go down to the "dance floor" can either watch them from above, or say their hellos and go on down.

Bill would kill me if I volunteers us. We have been married 16 years on May 22, just before we get onboard

I'll never forget the 11 Night Southern when the young man and his partner were on it. Clayton (Hollywood) was the emcee and Tom McAlpin was in the audience. Positively hysterical!!

Tracy...here's a question....do we have to get up and do the Customs thing in St Thomas??

found this *** NO MORE EARLY IMMIGRATION CHECK AT ST. THOMAS AS OF 1/17/09 CRUISE ***

its in the forum in the *** DIS DCL FAQ - New Alphabetical Listing of DCL Information *** its #6 on the list

Sounds like fun!!

What time is every one getting to the port? We could meet up in the terminal. My Mom can't do the sun, so we usually sit on 9 in the back on either side that have the raised platforms in the shade. But I will try to get up and say ho to every one,
