Saving us from page 3!!!

Hope everyone had a nice 4th. we went to visit dad in the hospital and came home and dh and I cooked out. Grandma is in town visiting so we have been keeping her company since mom is at the hospital alot with dad.

At the hospital...there were only 2 patients on the 4th..so the nurses got them and the families that were there and brought them to a corner room that had a great view of the fireworks. My mom and dad enjoyed it sooo much!!! I thought it was great that they did that for them!!

I watched the travel channel this weekend and it had the Samantha Brown cruises on. then I came here and read a couple of trip reports....so I'm ready to cruise now!! Only 10 months and a couple weeks left

We had very nice 4th of July weekend ... very relaxing for us. Our trips "home" usually keep us pretty busy trying to visit DH's family & my family. This trip was strictly for visiting his family so there wasn't much running.

Bruce & I did go buy my ring this weekend. I'm one very happy girl.

As many of you know Ken trains and rides his bike, for the Arthritis Foundation.
He spent Almost as much time on this as he did helping with the lanyards for our September cruise.

Many of you may not know the behind the scenes work put into this project.
I think we went threw 8 different designs before it was just right.
I think you will love it!


We , would like to help Ken reach his Goal of 10K for this cause, we are not very far away about $2700.00...

Yeah, I'd like to see these soon. They will have to open them up before March, right? Since we pay in full then and can book our excursions by then.

Peter, I think what Ken is doing is amazing!!! He is raising SOO much money for a great cause. I wish that DH and I could add to his funds. Once we get the bills paid this week I"ll take a look and see what we can do. I think it's great that you are supporting him!

When is the 1st cruise to Tortola in '09? You would think that the excursions would be listed at least 4 months prior to that.

I don't want to bring this thread down...but I did want to tell everyone that has kind of been reading along with the health of my dad know that My father passed away this morning.

He has been in the hospital for over 3 weeks and we were told yesterday that it wouldn't be long...but it seemed like it would be at least a week or so. We saw him last night and he was having such a hard time breathing and talking. We were on the way to the hospital when he passed, and I actually walked into the room not knowing.

we've been at the funeral home/cemetary for 5 1/2 hours. I never knew it would take that long. we all drove over straight from the hospital and just got home a bit ago. I am trying to keep myself busy helping relative make trips here and just needed a break for a minute or two.

I'll be back on the boards soon. I just want to thank everyone that has kept our family in your thoughts and prayers over the last few months.

We figured we'd better go see the glaciers before they all melt away. Maybe we'll wait and see what the itinerary for the new ships will be. Here's wishing you all the best time on this cruise!
