Watching UGA in the CWS right now. Now that our LSU Tigers are out, we are pulling for the Dawgs. It was funny to hear the commentator try to say "Dawgs" versus "Dogs". DH said he's ready to buy a UGA shirt .. !

We're also checking out the LSU Tigers football schedule. Need to start keeping my eyes open for tickets to Auburn or SC away games. The drive wouldn't be so bad, 3 or 4 hours respectively. If only we could get Auburn tixs ... we could drop our girls off at a friend's house in Columbus, GA then drive over to Auburn 30 minutes away.

For that past few weeks I haven't received any emails stating that there were new posts here! I just thought everyone was busy busy busy! I do get a few emails for other posts..don't understand!

Ds has been going through his DCL Passporter today He found a highlighter and has been going to town on the book! He's very excited to do alot of the activities they have listed...and he "even gets my own beach to go to!!!" Hey, maybe DH and I will get to hit the adult beach after all!!

Hi all! I was away in New Orleans for the weekend. My long-time friend (at least 30 years) got married Friday night. I went by myself & we had a great time. It was good to see her FINALLY married. She & her DH are on the Wonder now. She called from the port yesterday morning to say that they were waiting to get on the ship.

It's good to be home too. I missed my hubby & girls.

Heading back to New Orleans area for the long 4th weekend. We're all going & driving this time.

Heather how is the new job for Ed?

I got a call just the other day from the Union, scheduled to start, July 7th.

however i did get a call yesterday telling me it would not be monday and they would keep me posted.

But the job is mine when the project starts, very soon!

It is 7 days a week on a pipeline project! 3 til 11
HERE we go again!

56 hours a week, will turn into 84. do that for 6 months and an that is a years pay!


With the movie wrapping very soon this is great news.
all outside shoots have been completed they are now just on the sound stage, for a month shooting on sets they have built in the warehouse.

Jenn has finally been able to complete a long time dream of hers,
we pick it up today! 328xi

it is Arctic Metallic it changes to 3 different colors depending on the light!
Now to build a Garage!

Ang...how great that your friend got married and you were able to be there!! Have fun going back for the 4th of July weekend!!!

Peter...Ed is liking the job again. (there was a few days there where I really thought he was going to quit!! ) He is used to his new schedule and I'm getting used to it too. He does have to work 1-2 Saturdays per month...but he gets a day off during the week when that happens. We kinda like that....he had yesterday off and we went out to eat as a couple for the first time in a LONG time!! (cheesecake factory...had a gift card). He really does like it now and with the benefits that he/we get it is worth it to stay!!

WOO HOO :cool1 on hearing from the union!! That is great news! Wow...7 days a week! I'm glad to hear it should be starting soon!!

We finally found a Dr for Brandon (and we'll be using her too once we get appointments). The other dr at the walk in clinic that we went to was arrested for not being a gentleman while in the room alone with women

My grandma is flying in tomorrow to visit for the 4th of July weekend. Not sure what we'll do ....probably a cook out at home since dad can't really go out.

We are working on our 1st anniversary plans for next month (Aug 18th). We're going to the AL Beaches for 3 nights!! my bday is a week before the anniversary so we'll see how that works! I can't wait for our beach stay...I LOVE the beach!!!

Heather, that's definitely about that doctor! Glad you found an new one that you like. How's your dad doing these days? Nice that your grandmother is going for a visit.

Nice car Jenn! Is it a BMW? DH is hoping for a new car this summer.

I'm especially looking forward to going to La. I get a new wedding band ... . Back history ... when we got engaged there was a diamond wedding band that matched my engagement ring. I told DH that it was too much at the time but that I'd take it for our 10th anniv. Well, the 10th anniversary came & went in Oct. My diamond became lose a few weeks ago. I decided to take it back to the jewelry store where we bought it so I brought it in last weekend while I was in New Orleans. Believe it or not, 11 years later, they still make that band! I got the price & told DH about it when I got home. He didn't say anything another other than "if you want it, we'll go get it next weekend." He did say that I can't ask for another upgrade for another 10 years, though.

Ang, GREAT news on the diamond wedding band!!! It's great that they still make it AND that you are getting it this weekend!!!! You were very patient about getting it!!

My dad hasn't been doing so great. We've passed the one year mark from when we found out about the cancer...and he was only given a few months at the most. He was "let go" finally from his job so we have been waiting on COBRA so he can get some tests done. He is back to not eating and having other issues. I finally called yesterday and it was a "mistake" that they didn't get it to us before So at least today's dr appt will be covered and I have a feeling they may admit him to the hospital today(it's been hard because they depend on me to do the paperwork...which I don't mind....but then they still try to do some things on their own...but I wish I would have steped in last week about the cobra. Plus I have a hard time calling and dealing with things as his daughter and not his wife)

DS is dealing with summer boredom!! I have no idea how to get him up and moving! Last week I did but this week he just doesn't want to go anywhere or do anything!! What are you all doing for the summer??
