Alamo doesn't love me. not only did my rate not drop, I couldn't replicate either of the above deals...even after deleting cookies.

Now I am down to $146 for a compact for May 2nd through the 10th, down from the $235 I was given previously for an economy through Costco.

With E-Z Rent A Car, if you choose a car and put it into the que and then try to exit out of the page-they will pop up a 10% discount page. Saved me another 20 bucks. Full Size for 8 days (in June for me) was $202.13 all in.

Just booked Dollar Car Rental- May 30th (pick up 9am) - June 9th (drop off 7am) standard for $207 on their website. This is the best I have been able to come up with for my dates.

Wow. I'm not sure what the people on Dollar are smoking. I just found $2500!!! for a standard suv for our time. Minivans were looking better at only $600.

Seems like alamo prices for May dropped. I just got a 2 week rental (5/15-5/28) for a standard size for $313. I used the Visa discount code and a coupon for a free upgrade. I've been watching the prices and it seems like a good deal to me.

We are renting a mini van April 28-May 7 thru Alamo. I just lowered our rate from $351 to $303 total. It's a 9 day rental so that's not a bad price, although I'll still continue to check between now and then.

I used the Costco code and the Visa $30 off code.

Thanks for the heads up! Just booked a mini van with Alamo (on the costco website) for $285 for May 21st - 29th! Actually just used codes posted above on the Alamo website and got it down to $250!

I've been stalking the alamo website to make sure I get the best deal. What I booked this morning for $313 is now almost $480! Yikes. So glad I booked this morning.

I have an 8 passenger minivan (Sienna) booked with Alamo with the codes mentioned here for 18 days for a total of $594. I also have a regular minivan for $512. I just have to decide which one fits us best. We may be a party of 8 coming in a different times, but 2 of them are still on the fence, so may not need the Sienna.

Ok. I booked alamo at tampa airport 5-11 thru 5-18 for a quad cab truck (it was cheapest) using visa $30 off and costco for grand total of $141

First, we are alamo insiders, can we just go directly to kiosk to get the car? Second, has anyone rented a "truck" with alamo? Was it true quad? I don't want to end up with a single cab, we have a 6 year old in a car seat.

We are under 11 weeks to go now, but no real change to rental prices for our dates. Everything seems to be between $230 & $250 (or more)....definitely nothing close to the $165 for a full size that I booked wayyyyy back when through Dollar.

Hoping to see some (downward) movement soon!

I previously had a reservation with Alamo for a Minivan using the costco and visa code $351 for a week +1day. I just checked and got it lowered to $271 !!! I am pretty satisfied with this rate although I May keep checking.

Go NOW!!! And see if you get a lower rate.

I found the best time to search is in the morning. The rates are always way higher in the afternoon/evening. Try it tomorrow in the am.
