MAY 2014 Car Rentals

I'm putting in our dates for a minivan through Dollar - 5/15/14 to 5/19/14 - picking up and dropping off at MCO. I really want to drop off around 6:00pm on 5/19/14 but the price really jumps.

The rate goes from a daily rate of $24.49 per day ($110.44 total before fees) if I drop off at 1:00pm to a weekly rate of $278.46 if I drop off 5 hours later (6:00pm). I went ahead and reserved it at the cheaper rate but want to really return it a few hours later. How do I keep the rate to a per day rate but keep it longer? Will they work with me at the counter when I pick it up?

I've never rented with them before.

Check now I looked and put in 5/16 7:00 a.m pick to 5/19 6:00 p.m drop off and I am getting $111 total and if you have AAA the rate drops to $98

cleared cookies, not seeing it for my trip starting 5/28 yet if I start reservation two days earlier (for longer time period overall) it drops arrrgh.

I'm not using any codes. Just plugging in my dates and then clicking City Special.

I am also looking for 5/11-17 and the rates keep going up! I am starting to panic. Last night the rate was $130 for a midsize and now it is $190. I wish i booked it. So now I am not sure if I should wait or suck it up.

You can get a standard car on Dollar for $146.98 total right now. I would book it and then keep checking rates. If something better comes along you can always cancel this reservation and rebook with the lower rate.

I'm looking May 2-10. A full size, city special is $126. When all fees are added the grand total jumps to $194.
