Star Wars Friday
After sleeping soundly dreaming of Mine Trains, Dumbo and Bass fishing I woke early excited! Star Wars weekend was finally here. First we had a sugar load in a bowl in bed then got up showered and I selected my first Star Wars T shirt of the weekend.
Due to issues with my camera lens photos are limited! Grrr! But it is a t shirt of C3PO and R2D2 with BFF written on it.
Through the vacation I was posting on FB T shirt or hat of the day for folks back home. Here is a glimpse of the T shirt. That was chosen hat of the day!
I wanted to go now but wait! Jo reminded me I have limited energy and needed a hobbits second breakfast. A cinnamon roll was shared in the Artist Palette and I had a healthy coke lol. The goto second breakfast of a true rebel spy! I had now really fallen for these cinnamon rolls!
We drove to DHS as the accessible parking is very near the entrance. Out came Jessie the
scooter , my backpack , snack bag and Jo's back pack and drinks. Quick bag search. Joke with security guard these guys are always super nice. Every day I stare at the 'no bag' line wondering how you can do a day in the park without a bag. I seem to carry my worldly goods with me no matter what I try to scale down.
The atmosphere was electric! Folks were dressed in costumes and nearly all guests had Star Wars tee shirts on. Storm Troopers were on the stage by the hat. I thought I would pass out through excitment!
First stop! Dart Mall! I had some items I wanted to get and Jo was chomping at the bit to get them for me bless her. I have to reign her in because she spoils me. I said there were a few items I wanted and please do not buy anymore than that!
I got what I wanted! They only let in a number of people at a time. It was cramped but Jo did well scoring the items. She tried to offer more but I declined. First we lined for a star wars name badge in the Star Wars alphabet Aurebesh. I had Polly and my chosen planet Hoth. If you look at first photo of the hat you can see the badge. I also got a passholder t shirt, coin, cool Yoda light saber umbrella , Star Wars figures and an R2 D2 and Darth vader lunch boxes. You press the lunch bags and they make a noise of the character lol. I will enjoy waking other patients up on Monday when I go for my next infusion with Dart Vaders deep breathing.
