May 2014 7 of 9 - I am a little short for a Stormtrooper..

I am glad that you did manage to get the DAS without any issues. This sounds like another very busy day. I have only ever tried one kind of American cereal, which are the Reese's Peanut Butter Puffs. I do love them though. BOG, Anna and Elsa and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train all in one day sounds like a major score.

Restricting sugar intake when on holiday (especially in the US) just isn't possible in my book. :rotfl:

Nice hat!

Glad you got your DAS and it looks like we're in for a full day tomorrow.

I'm not a fan of the.super sugary cereals, but I can't believe your government tells you what you can and can't eat.

Glad you gor.the DAS card, but then I knew about that. :)

I find it funny that you enjoy our chain restaurants so much. While I don't mind them I seek out little mom and pop joints, but thats what makes things great. Something for everyone!

exactly! You need to energy anyway to keep going! Why folks need the energy drinks who knows! Breakfast of Lucky charms and a cinnamon roll has you buzzing until lunch! That's where we add protein to the mix and lots of it!

yes I think that's why it's so popular. Disney and surrounding area caters for every walk and non walking life form!

I love sugary cereals too. Apple Jacks and Lucky Charms being the top two. I also like granola cluster type cereal. Honey Bunches of Oats is so good. I almost feel healthy when I eat it. ;)

I am enjoying your report. Your excitement and enthusiasm come across so well in your writing - a pleasure to read.

glad you are also a fan Jenny! I love the taste of honey :-) honey or maple anything I'm in!

I really don't like sugary cereals I had them in the house when the kids were home ( decades ago ) BUT I do have a good memory to share and maybe something you would like

I had planned to make them pork chops one night and realized too late that I had no bread crumbs in the house I did have a box of Apple Jacks though....hmmmmm....threw some in a blender coated the pork chops with the milk and egg mixture then coated them with the Apple Jacks and placed them in the broiler Yum instant hit ! I still make it this way every now and then :thumbsup2

Thursday

Magic Kingdom all the way!

By now you are privy to how we like to start up the day. So sponsored by General Mill and Kellogg's goodness we go for second breakfast at the Artist Palette. For now we are now at our beloved home resort of Saratoga Springs.

Mickey Waffles consumed we have a date with a certain new mountain at MK which can be viewed from all the way around unlike the other mountains there. We were super excited and made our way to the park.

On arrival we took the boat. It negates the need to go up the slope to the monorail which I find really hard!

We slowly made our way to 7DMT going through FrontierLand and there were two friendly faces just by SleepyHollow! It's Alison and Fran! We had meet Alison last year but had not yet had the pleasure of meeting Fran so we were delighted at this surprise Dismeet!

We chatted for a while and parted ways. They had a FP+ also for 7DMT but later in the day. We found out the mountain was down due to technical difficulties! Dwarfs on the line! Alison and Fran told us when Carsland was built at DL the RS ride went down a lot in the first month so it seems this is just the way it goes! Disappointed but understanding the teething process of anything new we hoped those Dwarfs got off the line soon.

We got an email saying our FP+ was good for any other time today with no end time. So we thought we would ride something else.

To be continued...

YAY for the impromptu DisMeet.

Sorry that 7DMT was down. I hope you get to ride it later in the day.

Me too. Honey toast has been a new favorite, lightly toasted bread with warm butter and honey. My hiney doesn't need the honey though. :rotfl:

Cute selfie! :thumbsup2

Did you get a good look at the Poly DVC? I think they are building like water bungalows! :cloud9:

Yes we got a good look at water bungalows look super cool. I heard they will each have a plunge pool. How wonderful.

We made our way to FantasyLand thinking we would hang around here admire the Mine Train from outside and enjoy the atmosphere. We really like the new Fantasyland! Approaching 7DMT there was a healthy amount of disappointed faces waiting. We admired this structure. Our friends husband had worked on it's concrete base construction. He has done a great job! I love that the stones that make up the mountain are larger than the other mountains. I recall reading this is to give you that feel of seeing it from a Dwarf's eye. Such detail.

A few stressed CM with clipboards were pacing the entrance. Poor souls. Then as if by Disney magic ( which comes at a price ) it opened! Wowsers! We got in that FP+ line quicker than you can say Lucky Charms are free at Walmart ....

Thinking on my feet ( a figure of speech in my case lol ) I said to my Jo quick my lovely get a return time for the DAS so we can ride it later. She did and as the return time was 90 minutes they gave us 70. No logic to that but I wasn't going to argue. Usually it's return time minus 10 minus. Pixie dust me 10 minutes yes please.

Soon we were at the front of the queue. My heart I have to say was beating. I did my usually dance with changing glasses ( it's dark in there) from prescription sunglasses to my prescription clear. I wanted to experience every detail!

The CM eyeballed my rollator and we took a different line. They take your mobility aid the side of the ride for your return. Holding on to Jo we waited for the next car. Squeeek...in rolls our little set of cars. That's us at the back. Cool we should really feel full force of the ride here!

Everybody in? Bars down? Oh quick hang on hat off and in the net. I lost too many hats in WDW to count!

Off we go weeeee....

Oh my it's so smooth! Lots of twists and turns but not jerky like Big Thunder. The little cars rocks from side to side but not to induce motion sickness. Up and over...won't tell to much but we really enjoyed this ride! Thumbs up.

We got off this fabulous addition to FantasyLand and headed off to Dumbo. We love this ride. So simple so cute. I also like the store in the large tent in that area. We had fun on Dumbo Jo likes to make the baby elephant go up and down. I just enjoy the view. No photos sorry. I was hanging on and Jo was having too much fun!

Next we had a lunch date at BOG. Oh were we looking forward to this! The heat that day was fierce. A simple short distance from Dumbo area to BOG felt like a trek in the desert...

We arrived at check in at the wonderful BOG. SB line was insane. Folks melting like popsicles. I noticed they had water for people which was nice but I think they need more shade. Maybe the Beast can come and stand over them.

We checked in fine scanning our MB. Quick glasses dance and we were in the castle! Oh my I forgotten how lovely it is! Past the suits of armour. Up to the podium. Quick change of meal due to diet requirements. No problem!

We cuddled our rose and found a seat. Last time we sat in the section with the snow scene. This time we choose the other room. Change is as good as a rest!

Jo had the beef sandwich and I had turkey. We both said it was delicious!

To be continued the Frozen meet and greet...

What great timing! That view is amazing from the top. Great job scoring DAS return.

Looks like you're in for a great meal at BOG.

" Quicker than you can say " Free Lucky Charms at Wal-Mart " :rotfl2: Love it
