May 2014 7 of 9 - I am a little short for a Stormtrooper..

Thank u :) How long does it take for you to travel from the UK to WDW? Do you sleep the whole way? Is it a big time difference? My DH hates flying so we drive to WDW, it's like 20+ hrs, ugh I hate it! I can't sleep in car, so I go a bit stir crazy.
it's a 9 hour flight it's a day flight coming out so I don't sleep I am too excited! Watch movies etc. DW does she has been working hard after all bless. But the flight back is a night flight so we do try to sleep. It's a 5 hour time difference Florida is 5 hours behind us. So when we get there we just adjust to Disney time and stay up as long as possible! Best way to get rid of jet lag. We feel it most on the way back. 20 hours drive man that's cruel! Where you guys coming from?

Wow, that's what I call a score. Congratulations on the upgrade. They are really cool. What a shame that I won't get to go to WDW this year. Corinna
thank you Corinna yes shame but your cruise sounded amazing! I've fallen in love with the hawaiin one just released!

thank you Ruthie will report all on my return :-)

looks lush. The one that starts in Vancouver has already sold out for accessible cabins!

I would not worry too much at that stage. A lot of bookings are currently on courtesy hold, which will lapse either tomorrow or Saturday. I am sure you will see plenty of availability after this. This happened on every one of our special cruises. If you are interested in this cruise, I would call them and ask them to waitlist you.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with the layout of the US, but I live in northwest Ohio, almost in Michigan. The back of my neighborhood backs up to the Ohio/Michigan line. I'm closer to Canada than FL! I can get to Windsor Canada in about 45 mins ( not counting customs of course)

What are you looking most forward to on you trip?

What's your favorite restaurant?

What's your favorite park?

Thanks for the description I have friends in Chicago that's more in the middle right. I will look at you on map! I like learning so thanks for the information.

20 hours though...

I know it sounds really corny but most I look forward to time with my DW Jo. She works so hard and inbetween ends up doing a lot of caring for me because of my health which has been real bad of late. At Disney we can both relax. We have accessible studio so I can be more independent, a scooter so she doesn't have to push me! Being in that Disney bubble of pure happiness. I forget my pain and Jo forgets work stress!

I am really looking forward to trying Mine Train and Star Wars weekend of course :-)

Fav restaurant is BOG lunch, Rainforest Cafe and we dine out a lot so we love Red Lobster and Olive Garden!

How about you?

Yes chicago's more west, it's about 3.5-4hrs from me.

Yes it's a loooooong drive! We usually stop for the night somewhere & then finish the drive. I really hate it, but my DH loves the drive, he's strange. I prefer the 2hr flight & my trip with my aunt in May & with my sister & nephew in Dec, we flew. Magical express is much easier. The only thing I like about the drive is that I'm an over packer, so our car is FULL

That does not sound corny at all! It sounds sweet & romantic! I feel the same way, I love being with DH in that Disney bubble & its so relaxing & we have so much fun

I'm so jealous that you get to ride the Mine Ride! I hope you get to ride it multiple times! I really like Star Tours too. I wish that you could pick your voyage!

I absolutely love BOG lunch! I love the pork roast! What do you like to eat there? It's so beautiful inside of the restaurant, wonderful ambiance. I've only sat in the ballroom the 2x I was there. I'm not big on QS & this does not seem like a QS to me. WDW needs more QS restaurants like this in my opinion.

I've never been to Rain Forrest Cafe at WDW, but I've been to one in Michigan. I did try T-Rex this last trip with nephew & sister & was surprised how much I enjoyed the food. I mainly went there because 4yr old nephew loves it!

I'd say that I think Yatchmans Steakhouse is my favorite TS, but I love so many TS at WDW.

How about you?

How many more days until your trip?

I was just looking at the Cabo/Ensenada ones out of San Diego. Thanks Corinna letting me know that some of the H/A rooms might open up. If they do, I'm booking the one that Pam and Jenny are on!

cool! Nice restaurants! Yes ME from airport is just ideal for us after long flight we just rent a car the next day so Jo isn't so tired! Imagine long flight, time difference and driving on a different side of the road!

We fly on Monday! Yipppeeee. I like the turkey sandwich in BOG. I am a meat freak.

Believe it or not, I just found your thread! You have so many marvelous plans!

You're in the home stretch now! Just 2 more days! Are you all packed?

This is the same week I went last wk with my aunt & we had a great trip. The crowd levels were high on Sunday because of Monday memorial day holiday, by Monday the crowds started to thin & Tuesday & Wednesday the big crowds were gone! So I think you're arriving in the sweet spot! Especially this year since much of the country had a bad winter, a lot of the schools had to extend the school year, so kids summer breaks are starting later this year.

What American things or food do you look forward to that you can only do/eat here?

that's great to know how useful thank you! I love your cereal because I am a sugar addict lol. I love apple jacks and lucky charms best. I have an auto immune disease that affects my joints, eyes , digestive system and veins so I can't eat like regular folk I am quite restricted :-( but I can eat meat and I love my carbs! So I love Earl of Sandwich and I love that in your places I can change dishes without being looked at like I have two heads! Everybody is so super nice!

Yes all packed :-) now just the waiting game!
