May 2011: The kids are getting 3rd visit surprise! Now w/pics!

Subbing. I thought I subscribed before, but I never got any updates. Read the beginning will make it through the rest. We will be at WDW 3 of your days.

What is DH's favorite attraction at Disneyworld?

A. Indiana Jones Stunt Specatcular
B. Tower of Terror
C. Muppet Vision 3D
D. Kilimanjaro Safaris
E. Hall of Presidents
F. Monsters Inc, Laugh Floor

DH's favorite attraction is the Indy show. It's a must see. However, Muppet*Vision 3D, Safaris, and Monsters Inc are really close behind. :thumbsup2

The one ride that I will never be able to convince DH to attempt is ToT. :scared1: I think I could get him on RnRC before I could ToT. Trust me, I've tried bribing him to take DD on ToT this year so I don't have to brave it out. :lmao:

Hi!

I'll be posting my final itinerary in a bit. Would love to know if we'll cross paths!

I've been following your ongoing TR (totally loving it ). Are you doing a PTR for your upcoming trips or just adding it into your TR?

I've pulled out a hammer and stone and this won't change. Maybe. :lmao:

Here's a screenshot of the spreadsheet I'm using:
Mayplanning.jpg

Now here's the rundown.

DH has made some agreements after much discussion.

May 22 (Sunday): Hop in the car at 3am and drive to WDW. Check in at CSR. If room is ready, unpack. If room is not ready, go eat lunch. After lunch, the kids and I will hop in the pool while DH goes to take a nap (once room is ready, that is). DH will nap until dinner time. Once it gets near dinner time, kids and I will go clean up and we'll all head to DTD for dinner at WGP. After dinner, we'll head over to MK to hit up some attractions and secure a spot for MSEP. After MSEP, we'll hit up more attractions (or see Wishes). We'll go back to CSR once we're ready for bed.

May 23 (Monday): DHS day! We plan to arrive between 9-10am. Since I have no understanding of time and how long it takes us to do things, we'll do FPs and see attractions until around 11ish. Our first stop will be JTA to sign up the kids. We'll break for lunch. I'm not certain on where we'll have lunch, it all sounds soo good. I guess it will just depend on what we're in the mood for and what is nearby. After lunch, more shows/rides until dinner. Dinner is at 50's PTC. After dinner we'll lounge around and try to finish up whatever we missed earlier. Fantasmic has two showings this night (and every night of our vacation), so we'll try to hit the first one. If we miss the first one, DH and DS might go back to the resort for bed while DD and I attend the 2nd one. It will depend on how exhausted I am. We may take a break midday since we plan to see F!

May 24 (Tuesday): AK day! We plan to arrive between 9-10am. We'll do what we can until 11ish when we'll break for lunch at FlameTree BBQ. After lunch, we'll continue touring until we are done for the day. Then we'll head back to CSR for a swim before dinner at Maya Grill. After dinner, we'll probably get an early start on sleep, or maybe more pool time.

May 25 (Wednesday): MK day! We will meet up with some of our WoW (World of Warcraft online) friends this day! I am super excited! My #1 goal is to get a picture of us all in front of the castle. This will be my new FB picture, and will go on our guild website. Anyway, we'll arrive as close to 9am as possible, but will not make it for RD. We'll tour until around 11ish and break for lunch. Again, we are undecided on where to eat. After lunch we'll head over to TPL for a 12:20 appointment for both kids. After we finish TPL, we'll go back to touring. Dinner is at Tony's Town. After dinner, we'll tour until we're exhausted. If we didn't catch Wishes on Sunday, we'll watch it this night.

May 26 (Thursday): Epcot day! Again, we'll meet up with our WoW friends and tour EP. We will arrive as close to 9am as possible, but probably miss RD. We will attempt a couple of attractions before we head over to Norway for the Storybook Experience at 10:45. After the experience, we'll grab lunch somewhere in WSC (I'm thinking head over to the other side and try UK - but will see what our WoW friends are in the mood for first). We'll tour until dinner at Biergarten. I am excited and nervous for this ADR - as communal tables can be a blessing or a curse. Since there will be 6 of us, we may be seated without having to share, so we'll see. We'll tour until park close (and see IllumiNations).

May 27 (Friday): Check out of CSR. :sad1: We'll head straight to AK (for a late start) or a WP. This is still uncertain. We may or may not meet up with WoW friends this day. This is the "new" part of our plans, so they're still a bit rocky. DH hasn't decided if we will do a park this day or a WP. I can't decide which WP we'll do. I'm thinking maybe BB, since the kids seemed to like it more than TL. Anyway, we'll either go to AK or a WP for the day. We will not be on the DDP (as our credits will all be used), so we'll pay OOP for CS meals. If we go to AK, we'll try a different CS place, but not sure what. We'll tour until we're done and then head to DTD for dinner (probably CS). After dinner, we'll head over to our new hotel (offsite) and check in. Once we're settled, we may swim or just turn in.

May 28 (Saturday): We'll actually get a breakfast at the hotel! After breakfast, we'll hop in the car and go to either Epcot or a WP. We may or may not meet up with WoW friends. We'll tour/swim until we're done for the day. If we go to a WP, we'll probably go to DTD for dinner (CS probably - gotta keep things cheap so DH will see that I can show some restraint :lmao:). I'm not sure what all we will do this day to be honest. Still kind of playing by ear.

May 29 (Sunday): Breakfast at the hotel, check out, and drive home. :sad1:

Quickview:
22 Sun: MK
23 Mon: DHS
24 Tues: AK
25 Wed: MK
26 Thurs: EP
27 Fri: AK/WP
28 Sat: EP/WP

If anyone will be at those parks at those days and wants to say "hi" over a Mickey Bar, lemme know! I'd love to meet up with my fellow DISers, but I'll be busy, so it will be a "hi" and run. :lmao: You can't slow down my park touring. :p

See I told you that you had an evil streak. You like to dangle news infront of our faces and than tell us you will tell us about it later.:headache: It's driving me crazy.:upsidedow OK, I know I didn't have far to go.:lmao:

Your plans look great, I can't meet up with you:sad2: so why don't you have a Mickey bar for me and I'll have a Mickey bar for you when I get down there.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the Love:grouphug: I am really glad I found some great new Friends here. You guys are great.:thumbsup2

Still no mickey mail.:guilty: Not worring (much) I will wait till the weekend and call on monday if I haven't got anything yet.:thumbsup2

Hey TK (I know I am thread jacking again. Hey, you gave me permission:rotfl2:) I want to see pics of your shoe purchases too. I need my shoe fix and my money needs to be saved for Disney right now.

I've been following your ongoing TR (totally loving it ). Are you doing a PTR for your upcoming trips or just adding it into your TR?

I'm not doing a PTR, will just add it on to the continuous TR. We really don't have any plans. Wednesday dh works early, I am thinking of taking Anakin and Grumpy to the Captain's Grill for breakfast, but I don't have an ADR yet. Thursday Goofy flies out, so either all of us will take him to the airport or only dh will. It's completely undecided. I can't imagine how we will entertain Anakin at the airport for a couple hours. His flight is a morning flight, so we will have the rest of the day to play at WDW. Friday we know for sure will be SSW, I have an ADR at 50's Prime Time.

It would be fun to meet up with you somewhere. It's hard to make definite plans with Anakin. Wed or Thurs would probably be best.

Oh, you are a great planner! Love your spread sheet! :worship::worship: I'm too computer ignorant to figure out how to make one.

I really do think that Mickey is making your Mickey Mail extra special. :thumbsup2

And I'd be game for eating your Mickey Bar and you eating mine! ;)

And I can't help it my brain has been scattered and I've been busy scrubbing house Cindy-style. :rotfl2: But the news is out, two extra days at WDW - but offsite. :cheer2:

TK posted nice pics of her pretty shoes over on her thread! I'm a bit jealous. :rotfl:

Well, I'll be reading your ongoing TR. :thumbsup2

If you need a spreadsheet, I'd be happy to help you out. They're really easy to do once you get a feel for it. ;)

Once it gets even closer (it's already close!), we can talk more about possibly meeting up. Fingers are crossed that Anakin will be easily entertained for you at the airport (if the whole family goes)!

In 2009, we spent much time hunting for characters. Which character meeting(s) made me forget that I was an adult?

A. Alice
B. Tigger
C. Mary Poppins
D. Eeyore
E. Cinderella
F. Mickey Mouse

What is the one character (or characters) that you feel you have to see every trip? Which ones make you feel like a kid all over again?

Corrine, you crack me up. :lmao::rotfl2:

Okay okay, so G) All of the above would technically be true for me too... :lmao: However, a certain character(s) did make it more noticeable than the others. ;)
And yes, I will be dishing it out when I reveal the answer(s).

Still think I'm evil? :rotfl2:

Always, but in a good way.:maleficen :lmao::rotfl2:

In that case I am going to guess Mary Poppins and Mickey Mouse.

Can't wait to hear this story.

I just guessing here so I'm going to go with C. Mary Poppins because I remember you saying on my TR how much you liked the movie!

Being the crazed character hunter that I am, I kinds go nuts for them all but the 2 that really make me feel like a kid again are Mickey (who can beat the mouse) and Ariel, my favorite princess.

I am MIA and I see I missed all the fun!
WOW! I :lovestruc that spreadsheet and  that you are now doing 2 more days!!!!

Hubs and I went to a concert last night. The Decemberist, ever heard of 'em?
They were soooo good, but we didn't get out of the theatre until 11:30 almost midnight to get out of the parking lot:eek:. I usually like to leave 10 minutes early just to get out before the crowd, but DH would not budge this time. He thought they may play his favorite song. So needless to say, it was an absolute mad house trying to get out of there. Then we had to pick up the kiddos so we didn't make it home till almost 1 am. I am sooooo tired today!

I tried to check my DISthread and check messages and such, but it was sheer agony trying to do it from my phone. So I am not sure how it will go with live updates while in WDW. :confused3

So much to do today! I just dropped DS at school and stopped by the grocery store to pick up some "healthy" food for our "Eat Right" - "Try It" tonight for Brownies. I am in charge of this mtg. JOY! I should have checked it out before I volunteered, because it is very involved. I will most definitely have to pack up the whole house for this one......

I am so done with all this hoopla......I am ready for our vacation and my mind is already there. After this I just have Mother's Day and then my mom's bday and then off to the World!!!! :cloud9: Still sooooo much to do!

As for the trivia; I am going with F.) Mickey Mouse
He is the "BIG CHEESE" and it was all started by a mouse, don't you know????? :wizard:

 for you! :grouphug: for everyone! I am in a huggy mood today!

Always, but in a good way.:maleficen :lmao::rotfl2:

Oh, you remembered that comment! :thumbsup2

I was excited to see Ariel in 2009 at Akershus. I never expected to see her at all during our stay, so it was quite an honor!

I am MIA and I see I missed all the fun!

Never heard of them. Are you making stuff up again? ;)

Sorry to hear that it was so late when you got home. If it makes you feel better, I was up then, but not by choice. But I am glad that you had a good time at the concert! Did they play DH's song?

What kind of phone do you have? I wonder if there's a way it can be simplified.... :scratchin

Also sorry to hear about getting stuck with the try-it. So what DOES your GS leader do?????? :sad2:

Any special Mother's Day plans yet?

Wait .... there's a Mouse at WDW? :scared: They should call my friend, Mav. He handles all forms of rodents.

:lmao::rotfl2:

Okay girls... READY? Let's hug this out! :grouphug::grouphug:

I didn't believe it, either, until I actually saw them. They are kind of like REM but a little hipper. :hippie:

I don't know what our Leader does. She told me on the phone that she was nervous that I am going to stick her with the cookies next year. Kind of like she stuck me with "April Showers" this year. :sad2: We have so much more GS stuff for May such as Bridging Ceremony, Cookie Awards night and a Neighborhood Mtg. "WDW take me away!!!!" I feel terrible complaining....it is not the GS way! :guilty: I think I may need a nap. I am feeling a little grumpy.

My phone is a Verizon Droid. The keyboard is sooo teeny tiny or maybe I just have giant fingers....:lmao: I may have to download Swype (sp?) My techie BIL was showing me this at Jay's bday lunch. My phone seems very slow when online, too.

No, they didn't play DH song. All that xtra hassle for nothing. :sad2:

Hubs and the kids are making their famous french toast on Mother's Day morning and my mom and sis are coming over and then that evening we will probably do dinner with DH's parents. What plans do you have?

You best not tell your friend, Mav, about "The Mouse". I am sure there would be a lot of angry peeps if he was exterminated. :rotfl2:

 Sore throat and cough.....I think a nap is in order. Some germy person gave me their cold last night. I am serving food at the mtg. tonight. I hope I don't get anyone else sick!

:grouphug: - Hope I don't infect anyone! :headache:

You have every right to complain since it seems that you are doing all the worl of the GS leader and she's never around. If our leader was like that, I'd pull DD so quick. :sad2: She's not leading by example, and setting a poor model for the girls!

I don't know anything about the Droid ... but if you need help, I know how to Google with the best. :lmao:

Sorry to hear your hippie :hippie: band didn't play DH's song. :(

The only Mom's Day plans I have is the girls (scouts) are doing a Tea Party for moms next Monday. I think they made some crafts (gifts) and they'll take care of the mom's. I look forward to spending time with her, but not so much the party venue.

Yes, I'm sure I'd upset a lot of people if I told Mav about the Mouse. So I decided I won't. :rotfl2: I'd be a little heartbroken myself if the Mouse was no longer around. ;)

TK, its going around.

I picked DS up from school today (he had a good day) and as soon as the PK teacher started to put him in the car, he burst into tears. She asked what was wrong and he yelled that he was freezing (it was mid 60s). I looked and he had goose bumps all up his arms. She rubbed his arms and then commented that he felt warm. He did feel warm (mild fever) but got him home with him whimpering the whole way. Once home, he curled up on the couch and slept! :scared1:

He was out for about an hour and a half and woke up saying his legs hurt. I checked for anything visual and felt him. He was HOT! He went to potty and needed help (he couldn't stand). I gave him some Ibuprofen and took his temp. 103.7 and climbing!! So I rushed him to the pediatrician's office. It turns out, he had Strep AND Flu A. :sad2: Fever is down a bit now, and he's playing, but ugh.

So I'll be home with him tomorrow, if DD goes to school. If not, then I'll have them both.

DD and I tried to watch Lemonade Mouth today, but haven't finished because having to take DS to doctors.

So TK, while I'm taking care DS, just ring the bell if you need anything. :lmao: But seriously, I do hope you feel better soon. Colds really stink. And DS is a sharing person, so DD will get it soon, as well as me. DH always manages to dodge everything. Gotta figure out how he does it. :confused3

Let's all take it easy and nap lots the next few days! :thumbsup2

The correct answers are C) Mary Poppins and D) Eeyore.

In 2009, our first day in the parks - we hit Epcot. I was hoping to meet characters in the parks, but wasn't really sure how or where. We got lucky and walked into the UK Toy Store to check it out. DS was picking out a new Thomas toy and I heard a commotion in the back. I walked back and Winnie the Pooh & Tigger had just arrived. So we stood in line, but I was sad that there was no Eeyore. When we came out, we saw Alice. We stopped and said "hi". Then we kept walking and saw MARY POPPINS!!!!

Mary Poppins is my #1 all-time favorite Disney movie. I used to drive my parents nuts watching it over and over. When I saw her, I just went star-struck. All I could do was stand there and stare. I remember asking if I could get a picture with her, and trying not to squeal in excitement (I was already bouncing like a kid). She was wonderful! I was seriously in star-struck mode, because I barely remember what she said - all I could think of was "OMG OMG OMG IT'S MARY POPPINS!"

All week long we looked for Eeyore, but was having no luck. We were actually on our way out of the AK when I saw the character trail (not the Minnie Mickey one). The CM standing there said Eeyore was down the trail ... so I took off (leaving DH and kids behind - hoping they'd follow :lmao:).

We stood in line for nearly 30 minutes, it was Pooh, Eeyore, and Tigger. I kind of wanted to skip Pooh (since we had already seen him), but was afraid I'd hurt his feelings if I did, so we met Pooh. As soon as Eeyore was free, I ran to him and gave him the biggest hug ever. At this point, I was actually past the "star-struck" phase and was able to have a conversation. I hugged him tight, told him I had been looking for him all week, and that he was my absolute favorite. I checked for his tail and let him know I was glad he found it. :rotfl2:

Sure, I loved meeting the other characters, but those two, they really made me feel (and look) like I was 5. I'm hoping to see Mary Poppins again, and actually be able to speak. :lmao: (She probably thought I wasn't right in the head )

I'll dig around and see if I have pics. Things have been crazy here lately ... DS got sick and its already spreading. Even the cat is sick. :guilty: Hopefully it will all get out of here well before WDW!

I hope you all feel better soon!

Mary Poppins is still at UK right near the Kim Possible stand! She use to be at the 1900 Park Fare breakfast at GF, I don't know if she is there anymore or not. It's been years since we ate there.

Too funny!

I never know what to say when I meet the characters.

Hope you get to meet Mary Poppins again so you can redeem yourself, LOL!
