Hi!
I'll be posting my final itinerary in a bit. Would love to know if we'll cross paths!
I've been following your ongoing TR (totally loving it). Are you doing a PTR for your upcoming trips or just adding it into your TR?
See I told you that you had an evil streak. You like to dangle news infront of our faces and than tell us you will tell us about it later. It's driving me crazy.
OK, I know I didn't have far to go.
Your plans look great, I can't meet up with youso why don't you have a Mickey bar for me and I'll have a Mickey bar for you when I get down there.
Thanks for the LoveI am really glad I found some great new Friends here. You guys are great.
Still no mickey mail. Not worring (much) I will wait till the weekend and call on monday if I haven't got anything yet.
Hey TK (I know I am thread jacking again. Hey, you gave me permission) I want to see pics of your shoe purchases too. I need my shoe fix and my money needs to be saved for Disney right now.
I'm not doing a PTR, will just add it on to the continuous TR. We really don't have any plans. Wednesday dh works early, I am thinking of taking Anakin and Grumpy to the Captain's Grill for breakfast, but I don't have an ADR yet. Thursday Goofy flies out, so either all of us will take him to the airport or only dh will. It's completely undecided. I can't imagine how we will entertain Anakin at the airport for a couple hours. His flight is a morning flight, so we will have the rest of the day to play at WDW. Friday we know for sure will be SSW, I have an ADR at 50's Prime Time.
It would be fun to meet up with you somewhere. It's hard to make definite plans with Anakin. Wed or Thurs would probably be best.
Oh, you are a great planner! Love your spread sheet!I'm too computer ignorant to figure out how to make one.

In 2009, we spent much time hunting for characters. Which character meeting(s) made me forget that I was an adult?
A. Alice
B. Tigger
C. Mary Poppins
D. Eeyore
E. Cinderella
F. Mickey Mouse
What is the one character (or characters) that you feel you have to see every trip? Which ones make you feel like a kid all over again?
I am going with G. All the above. Oh wait that was me, never mind.![]()
Corrine, you crack me up.
Okay okay, so G) All of the above would technically be true for me too...However, a certain character(s) did make it more noticeable than the others.
And yes, I will be dishing it out when I reveal the answer(s).
Still think I'm evil?![]()
Always, but in a good way.![]()
In that case I am going to guess Mary Poppins and Mickey Mouse.
Can't wait to hear this story.
I just guessing here so I'm going to go with C. Mary Poppins because I remember you saying on my TR how much you liked the movie!
Being the crazed character hunter that I am, I kinds go nuts for them all but the 2 that really make me feel like a kid again are Mickey (who can beat the mouse) and Ariel, my favorite princess.
I am MIA and I see I missed all the fun!
WOW! Ithat spreadsheet and
that you are now doing 2 more days!!!!
Hubs and I went to a concert last night. The Decemberist, ever heard of 'em?
They were soooo good, but we didn't get out of the theatre until 11:30 almost midnight to get out of the parking lot. I usually like to leave 10 minutes early just to get out before the crowd, but DH would not budge this time. He thought they may play his favorite song. So needless to say, it was an absolute mad house trying to get out of there. Then we had to pick up the kiddos so we didn't make it home till almost 1 am. I am sooooo tired today!
I tried to check my DISthread and check messages and such, but it was sheer agony trying to do it from my phone. So I am not sure how it will go with live updates while in WDW.
So much to do today! I just dropped DS at school and stopped by the grocery store to pick up some "healthy" food for our "Eat Right" - "Try It" tonight for Brownies. I am in charge of this mtg. JOY! I should have checked it out before I volunteered, because it is very involved. I will most definitely have to pack up the whole house for this one......
I am so done with all this hoopla......I am ready for our vacation and my mind is already there. After this I just have Mother's Day and then my mom's bday and then off to the World!!!!Still sooooo much to do!
As for the trivia; I am going with F.) Mickey Mouse
He is the "BIG CHEESE" and it was all started by a mouse, don't you know?????
for you!
for everyone! I am in a huggy mood today!
Always?
Oh, you remembered that comment!
I was excited to see Ariel in 2009 at Akershus. I never expected to see her at all during our stay, so it was quite an honor!
Never heard of them. Are you making stuff up again?
Sorry to hear that it was so late when you got home. If it makes you feel better, I was up then, but not by choice. But I am glad that you had a good time at the concert! Did they play DH's song?
What kind of phone do you have? I wonder if there's a way it can be simplified....
Also sorry to hear about getting stuck with the try-it. So what DOES your GS leader do??????
Any special Mother's Day plans yet?
Wait .... there's a Mouse at WDW?They should call my friend, Mav. He handles all forms of rodents.
Okay girls... READY? Let's hug this out!![]()
I didn't believe it, either, until I actually saw them. They are kind of like REM but a little hipper.
I don't know what our Leader does. She told me on the phone that she was nervous that I am going to stick her with the cookies next year. Kind of like she stuck me with "April Showers" this year.We have so much more GS stuff for May such as Bridging Ceremony, Cookie Awards night and a Neighborhood Mtg. "WDW take me away!!!!" I feel terrible complaining....it is not the GS way!
I think I may need a nap. I am feeling a little grumpy.
My phone is a Verizon Droid. The keyboard is sooo teeny tiny or maybe I just have giant fingers....I may have to download Swype (sp?) My techie BIL was showing me this at Jay's bday lunch. My phone seems very slow when online, too.
No, they didn't play DH song. All that xtra hassle for nothing.
Hubs and the kids are making their famous french toast on Mother's Day morning and my mom and sis are coming over and then that evening we will probably do dinner with DH's parents. What plans do you have?
You best not tell your friend, Mav, about "The Mouse". I am sure there would be a lot of angry peeps if he was exterminated.
Sore throat and cough.....I think a nap is in order. Some germy person gave me their cold last night. I am serving food at the mtg. tonight. I hope I don't get anyone else sick!
- Hope I don't infect anyone!

The correct answers are C) Mary Poppins and D) Eeyore.
In 2009, our first day in the parks - we hit Epcot. I was hoping to meet characters in the parks, but wasn't really sure how or where. We got lucky and walked into the UK Toy Store to check it out. DS was picking out a new Thomas toy and I heard a commotion in the back. I walked back and Winnie the Pooh & Tigger had just arrived. So we stood in line, but I was sad that there was no Eeyore. When we came out, we saw Alice. We stopped and said "hi". Then we kept walking and saw MARY POPPINS!!!!
Mary Poppins is my #1 all-time favorite Disney movie. I used to drive my parents nuts watching it over and over. When I saw her, I just went star-struck. All I could do was stand there and stare. I remember asking if I could get a picture with her, and trying not to squeal in excitement (I was already bouncing like a kid). She was wonderful! I was seriously in star-struck mode, because I barely remember what she said - all I could think of was "OMG OMG OMG IT'S MARY POPPINS!"
All week long we looked for Eeyore, but was having no luck. We were actually on our way out of the AK when I saw the character trail (not the Minnie Mickey one). The CM standing there said Eeyore was down the trail ... so I took off (leaving DH and kids behind - hoping they'd follow).
We stood in line for nearly 30 minutes, it was Pooh, Eeyore, and Tigger. I kind of wanted to skip Pooh (since we had already seen him), but was afraid I'd hurt his feelings if I did, so we met Pooh. As soon as Eeyore was free, I ran to him and gave him the biggest hug ever. At this point, I was actually past the "star-struck" phase and was able to have a conversation. I hugged him tight, told him I had been looking for him all week, and that he was my absolute favorite. I checked for his tail and let him know I was glad he found it.
Sure, I loved meeting the other characters, but those two, they really made me feel (and look) like I was 5. I'm hoping to see Mary Poppins again, and actually be able to speak.(She probably thought I wasn't right in the head
)
I'll dig around and see if I have pics. Things have been crazy here lately ... DS got sick and its already spreading. Even the cat is sick.Hopefully it will all get out of here well before WDW!
