DH just got back from a trip to China last night. It's nice to have him back! We'll spend some time reliving that trip while we wait for our October trip to the Food & Wine Festival then this cruise next year! We have to have something to keep looking forward to as we fill our down-time with work.

Yesterday, we came home from the 2013 WBPC..it was WONDERful! We had the pleasure of spending A LOT of time with Lexa & her family. It was great fun & we can't wait to do it again next year!

We were very sad someone else was sleeping in "our room" last night, en route to Vancouver The kids were ready to "get off this boat"...until they left their "best cruise friends"

If anyone has any WBPC questions, I am happy to share our experience on the cruise. This group has grown in the last two weeks; we look forward to meeting you in 2014 I don't Facebook, but will be active on DIS.

We had to cancel the 2013 cruise due to my husbands unexpected stroke. If he clears all medical hurdles, we will be on this cruise! We should know in the next month, but wanted to get active. His progress is rather remarkable!

Did anyone use SAS for transfers?

Lots of kiddos?

Did they let the adults into the kids places?

Did they show any old classic movies?

Did they have any PC lecturers?

I rented from Alamo in Ft. Lauderdale. Returned at Miami Airport. Free shuttle from the airport to the port with receipt of rental. Loved it. Kids, we were told a few different numbers, but since I was told 230 under 21 and 180 under 18 three times, that's what I am going with. Adults did have time in the clubs at night. They showed classics like Casablanca, All The Presidents Men, and many others almost daily. Not every day though. They brought on a retired canal pilot, Captain Pukett. He is a very good speaker and very generous with his time. Very nice individual. He told me he was in talks for next year.

We did from FLL to Doubletree hotel in Miami...no problems, great service.

Lots of kiddos?
Nope...out of 1780 passengers on the ship, we had around 180 kids from babies to teenagers.

Did they let the adults into the kids places?
When kids clubs have Open house hours adults can get in.

Did they show any old classic movies?
Yes they did...Casablanca, can't remember others, would need to recheck Navigators.

Did they have any PC lecturers?
Yes, Capt. Kenneth Puckett had several great presentations.

SAS...efficient, easy, and reasonably priced - will use again!

Kiddos...YA Officer said 151 kids & 24 babies.

People...we heard 1780 once & 1797 once.

Movies...seemed to be a classic every day @ 2pm.

Adults in Kid Spaces....all kid spaces had open houses & the Goofy/Mickey Pools had chairs/loungers available everytime we needed them. Kid spaces had Royal Ball & Boot Camp & Flubber & Activities for adults only, some nights after 10pm.

PC Guru...Captain Ken Puckett was informative about the canal.

As I have only sailed on 7 or 8 night cruises, what would you say are:

A. The top three things that you would bring on a 15 night cruise that you may not have thought about/needed for a shorter cruise?

B. What are the biggest differences in programming/activities compared to shorter cruises?

More money, another bottle of rum (or two, )

DCL flys in more talent for shows to complement the on-board shows. Guests are brought along to talk about local ports/areas. At times, Ducky was there for lectures, howtos and auctions. Art Auctions. More and different tastings.

More time to just relax, forget about life on land, enjoy the ocean views and all the ship has to offer without being rushed...

You know, in 14 nights I think I when to a total of 5 organized activities before dinner. So I second the do nothing and relax, cause that is what I did and it was fantastic. I am so relaxed now it's great

We will bring less luggage & spend more time in the laundry sauna next year. We will bring more wine & champagne. We will definitely bring more patience - it took me a few days to realise there is no need to queue or rush on a long cruise.

More money, another bottle of rum (or two, )

For us, the PC Cruise was the same price as the CA Coast last October - and twice as long! We did bring an extra bottle of rum, but we didn't finish it

I, too, did very little! I went to CC for a few hours and did not leave the boat again 'til we arrived in San Pedro. I never went to a movie or a show, attended just a few events, and had an amazingly relaxed vacation!

I understand what you mean in terms of Laundry, but it's not vacation if you are doing chores. We did zero laundry. I did get off in Puerto Vallarta to go to the mall. I wanted to use the wifi at Starbucks there. Needed to stay in touch with home. Personal stuff. I would not have gotten of there if it were not for the free wifi.

We have done longer cruises (on Celebrity) and do things a tad differently for them.

One thing is that I bought my husband several Polo shirts that are much lighter than his normal ones. And I make him save the shirts for cruise only. Same for his tee shirts. We get them from WOOT (love those shirts!) and they are very thin, but nice. They take up about half the room that his normal shirts do.

Hi Everyone.The DW and I have been busy lately and I haven't had time to post. Transferring all my videos to hard drive. Wow what a job. We are going to Branson this week for the holiday week and will try to post some pics of the Ozarks. Love the mountains and Table Rock lake. Great to hear that everyone on the WBPC had such a great experience. I expect some post reviews on t he board about the cruise. Carry on.

Doing laundry while on a cruise is not something I would put at the bottom of my list.
It beats too much luggage, washing things out in the sink or paying to have someone else do it.

Different strokes for different folks.
