Funny, I say not enough sea days. That's why I cruise, I want to cruise not be on land. To each their own.
I would have loved a TA "back in the day" with weeks of sea days!

Hello fellow cruisers!
I'm so excited to be joining you! This will be my family's second Disney cruise, the first being one of the Pixar cruises in 2012. We are looking forward to this trip and I'm curious if anyone has hotel recommendations for Miami. We live in San Diego so we are really excited to be able to cruise all the way home!![]()
Welcome!!! We did one of the Pixar cruises also, was so cool to be able to 'visit' our hometown. I have no reviews or inside information about hotels in Miami yet, all I have is a map of the hotels that are right around the port. That's what I've been using to combine with where we have reward accounts.

Sounds like there's a few of us that did the Pixar cruise. My two boys are so excited about this trip. Half of the fun is the anticipation!
We will also be staying in Miami the night before (or maybe two even)
It was my youngest sons sixth birthday a few days ago and he got money to put towards the holidayhe was so cuuuuute! Almost have the airfares saved... Must keep working!!!
Have a great day all!

I hear you. Just like this years cruise, after Key West I am not planing on getting off the ship till we get to San Diego. I can't pass up a chance to get a Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee and we dock right near one at Key West.

I had no idea DD was that far South! DD reminds me of home, thanks![]()
Welcome, GromMom! Three families, so far, from San Diego who were on the Pixar Cruises! We LOVED the Pixar Cruise, especially since the ship was empty in port!
Our 2013 WBPC DIS group has a group rate at the Doubletree Biscayne Bay, but ratings are average. We'll likely switch our res. there, so girls can meet other kiddos & we can walk to shops. There are well-rated hotels at FLL, where we are currently booked on points. In terms of flights to Miami, we're flying LAX to FLL - it's cheap & non-stop.
It's exciting the ship will "bring us home" next May!
What are your plans to get from FLL to the Port of Miami?
I would love to fly SWA to FLL. Have not done the research yet.

Travelling from FLL to port on the 2013 WBPC - SAS Shuttle seems to be popular with DISers. I am finalising our own transport arrangements; will share when organised.
Dennes' post about son was very cute![]()
SWA=2 bags free.

JetBlue- one free bag, free drinks & snacks, 34" pitch, personal tv
Virgin- cool vibe, 31" pitch, no free bag or food, free soda, pers. tv
Southwest- 2 free bags, 33" pitch, free soda/juice, no pers. tv, excellent record
I refuse to fly Spirit because the cheap fare doubles with baggage fees, seat fees, service fees, and 28" seat pitch is too small.
From LAX to FLL, as of today, the above airlines are priced within $20 of each other.
(I write, therefore I research...but I'm not weird in person)
