Tuesday we took advantage of EMH at MGM....I just knew that RRC would be the highlight of my trip becuz I am a huge Aerosmith fan! Unfortunately it was down that morning but we were able to get fastpasses and DH and 11 yr old (BRAVE!!) DS went over to TOT with 5 min wait. Hubby says it was THE BEST ride he has ever been on becuz of the theming, suspense, etc. He ended up riding it 3x that day. We hiked it over to Star Tours, which is a must for any 7 yr old Star Wars fan..my son and brother absolutely loved it, however, I wasn't so impressed...was okay but nothing to write home about. Caught Muppet 3d Vision next...this was a great show and all 7 of us thought it was totally endearing and not to be missed by anyone of any age, esp if you remember the old weekly muppet shows! Even the pre-show was really cute to watch. We went in with no lines, no waiting. Our fastpasses were ready for RRC but it was still closed down but the guy said we could use them at any time during the day becuz of the ride being out of service when our passes were due. We grabbed fastpasses for TOT then backtracked to Millionare but they didn't start until 11 am..the cm was so nice he gave us fastpasses w/o having to use our tickets...(so we literally had 3 valid fastpasses at once!). We went next door and had a short, maybe 5 min wait to get a pic with Sorcerer Mickey. Wasn't planning on buying the portrait but was soooo cute I couldn't resist! Did a bit of shopping and each of us got wacky hats and many people got a kick out of all 7 of us walking down the street in our wacky hats! Millionare was open....this was a great show and I made no. 10 on the leader board!! My greatness was shortlived when my 11 yr old DH made no. 9!! RRC was FINALLY open and I was NOT disappointed with the ride!! The 0-60mph in less than 3 secs is the best!! We only waited 5 mins w/our fastpasses and since only 3 of us rode and we had 7 passes we road a second time with no wait at all....I did front seat this time and it is something ya just gotta do on the RRC!!!

We headed back to the hotel for some time in the pool and lunch in our room...again pool was not crowded at all. We went back to MGM to make the first evening show of Indiana Jones. We went in 20 mins early and got good seats and the cm even let me exit and return through the exit with ice cream and popcorn (just love that Disney popcorn!) for everyone. Most of us profess that we are not Jones fans but we did enjoy the show, esp my 7 yr old DS who was totally mesmerized by it all! Hubby and brother went to do TOT again and rest of us headed to Honey Shrunk the Audience playground but it closes at 7! UGH!! My DS was so disappointed! Next did backlot tour with no wait. The initial show was cool but we were so disappointed with the rest of it after we got on the tram. I would have skipped this if I knew it was not so exciting!

We met in front of Fantasmic at about 8:15..boy was it crowded already (standing room only by 8:40!!!) We got pretty good seats in the last row off to the left. After quite a bit of complaining from my family about the long wait and mumbling about it being worth sitting there for 45 mins...the show was AWESOME and brought my step-mom and sister to tears! (except...what was w/ the annoying helicopters flying overhead? Someone said maybe cuz M Jackson was there? So annoying!)

After the show my DH took the kids and brother for a mad rush to the buses (had a 1/2 hour wait for the bus) while sis, step-mom and I did a little shopping. All the shops were open and the cms were in no rush to get anyone out of there. We only had a 10 min wait for the bus.

Day 4- Blizzard Beach
Step mom and sis took adv of EMH at Epcot while the rest of us headed to BB. Got there about 11 and boy was it crowded already! Did teamboat springs and tobaggon racers, which we all liked alot but waited 20 mins each to ride. Did run off rapids with 5 min wait..was going to ride again but the line was already about 25 min wait!! Took 7 yr old to Ski Patrol training camp which he loved walking the icebergs, riding the littler water slides and hanging on the "rope drop". Hubby, 11 yr DS and brother went to do summit plummet....hubby/brother thought it was one of the greatest rushes they ever experienced but 11 yr old chickened out at the top when he saw the drop (don't blame him!!). We all hit the wave pool which was awesome and then got lunch ($35 for 4 of us). By that time the lines were so long that we just went back to the hotel pool.

Hubby wanted a break so watched his basketball game in the hotel room while the rest of us hit DD and the Rainforest Cafe. We got there about 5:30 w/o ressies and only had a short 15 min wait. I highly recommend the Rainforest Cafe! The waiter was so funny and great and the whole atmosphere was awesome! I ordered the chicken, shrimp, ribs platter, which was outstanding! I wish I knew how to make that BBQ sauce!! The food was really, really good and I was even able to switch my order around with no prob (i subbed broccoli for fries cuz i had forgotten what a veggie looked like eating at the food courts!!). I am also allergic to dairy but the waiter was very knowledgeable about how things were prepared and was able to answer all my ? right away.

Okay..this is where my kids began to get hooked on the pressed pennies! My sis got them each one at the Cafe and the kids went ga-ga over it. So we got the books and filled them over the next few days. At first I was aghast at how much $ this would add up to be but it really ended up being a really inexpensive souvenir in the long run. I spent $6.00 for each book and each prob spent about $20 for doing the pennies for each of two kids. And they had a great time scoping out the penny machines in all the parks...it became like an exciting game to be able to find them (even tho they were literally at every turn!).

After dinner we did a bit of shopping and the kids loved the Lego Store. I was searching for Alice in Wonderland stuff for a friend's daughter and couldn't find not one thing anywhere, even in the World of Disney's Wonderland room! I finally found a cheshire cat at the Toy Store but nothing else! Headed back to the hotel around 9 pm.

You may have just solved the helicopter question on the Theme Parks board that was there the other day. :) Glad you had a good time.

so the helicopter thing WASN'T a normal occurence? I'm so glad to hear that!!! It was truly annoying!!
