OK, big news for me - I have a new job! It's with my same company - but a promotion to another department! I am thrilled!!

Another congratulations here!

This is our Fish Extender!

Love it! Still have to do mine.

Will work on posting pics, etc a bit later. I am having some trouble right now. Over the weekend I re-read Twilight and it was that addictive even the second time around. Well...thanks to Amanda....went and hunted down the Midnight Sun and have been reading that off and on all day! :scared1: Good thing I am a fast reader -- will post pics once that is done and the kitchen is cleaned.

I just re-read all of the Twilight books last week. They are still awesome the second time around. Love them!

Are all the guys wearing a tux?

I couldn't put my DH in one if I bribed him. The last tux he wore was at our wedding. He will wear a sports coat and nice pair of slacks and hopefully a tie.

Ok...so here is our FE:

Very nice!

I guess we will be quadruplets because I ordered the mary jane shoes too... they were 25% off yesterday plus free shipping... I could not resist... :yay:

Ok this is getting scary now because I ordered those mary jane water shoes as well! I guess it's up to quintuplets!

I better go to the website to find out what these look like to see what I'm missing out on!! :rotfl2:

ETA: CUTE!!!! Wish I needed new water shoes...

Hi everyone,
Just a quick question that I am sure has been asked, but is anyone considering the wine package?
My DH is more of a beer guy and I would also like to imbibe in tropical drinks....but I love wine!!! do you think it is worth it? I saw a few not so bad wines on the classic list but I am still on the fence.. any opinions????

K

well, it really depends on the wine - I've priced it out and for the wines I like, it is not a deal. The wine by the glass is pretty expensive though.

For me too - we would nto have any left over and would have to buy more!!

I plan on bringing beer for John and a couple bottles of wine. My sister will probably bring vodka or something.

whoo hooooooooo, we are getting there. Still no cabin # for us...!

still not sure about what we are doing in Key West, I told John we need to decide.

Grand Cayman - Rays Reef and Rum Point with Nativeways I think a couple of you guys are with us on that....

Cozumel - we hired Jerry to take us on a 3 hour tour and then drop us off at Paradise Beach and take a taxi back. His van holds 8 and we have room for 2 if anyone wants to join us - it will be pretty informal - first stop, grocery store for drinks!! and then where ever we want to go really, I told my sister to look up places she wanted to see...Coconuts is one, we've been and it really is a spectaular view.

CC - think we are riding bikes and hitting the beach - I think John and my sister want to parasail.

V -- we got the water shoes for Nachi Cocum and Serenity Bay. Also figured they would be handy to wear on the Pirate excursion -- less slippery than crocs.

We have no plans in KW -- just walk around a bit, try KLP if we aren't too stuffed from brunch and buy some water from CVS. We will also visit Margaritaville so we can get something for our neighbors (big Jimmy Buffett fans) for watching Cuervo for us.

In GC we are double booked -- the stingray tour with Moby Dick tours & the Pirate Encounter. Yoni is going diving with DCL. Since I am solo, I have chickened out of the stingray tour so will cancel (better do that soon!) and do the Pirate Encounter. Sabrina is already excited about "walking off the plank". I doubt Kai will but you never know!

In Coz we are booked for Nachi Cocum but seriously condsidering the dolphin encounter w/Kym & Dempsey.

In CC -- we are doing NOTHING but laying on the beach, playing with the kids, chilling out!!!!

That being said, V, you are the pro -- are we missing anything?

ok finally got access to a computer. im still in the field playing army guy.

im noot wearing a tux. just a suit.

when you say basket, what do you mean/ any pics?

anybody got any ideas on what to get for teens for the FE? she cant figure that one out.

im sure i got more ? but the shells are going off. gotta go back to the mud and drag myself tru it. :dance3:

I did the Pirate encounter with Royal Caribbean in Grand Cayman when I was there in October. It was fun. We didn't walk the plank but shooting at the other ships is a blast. Just make sure to have your camera ready when they ask all of the kids to stand in front of them. And I would be prepared for them to get wet!

Thanks for the toe well-wishes! It's not painful anymore, it just has a red spot on one corner and a thick ugly scab on the other. I'm not infectious at all, I'm just a little self-conscious about it... I figure the Mary Jane Trekkers will cover it up, as will my water shoes, and other shoes!

My parents have booked the Carnival Glory for the same sail date and are riding down with us. We will probably enjoy time by the pool and go out to dinner that evening at one of the local restaurants.

We'll be near the pool during the evening hours as well!

I dont think you can pay my husband to wear a tux. He hates to dress up . He is strickly a jeans and t-shirt man. I sometimes wish i married a metrosexual lol. He is more of the rocker kinda man. He will wear dress shirts but thats all.

I'm doing Smathers Beach in KeyWest & then To Cheeseburger for lunch ,and good beer. I want to shop a little also.
In Cozumel we are doing the Four Elements excursion.Which includes Zipline, bike rideing, hikeing,Swimming and some culture stuff. In Grand Cayman will also do the beach, but i read Seven mile beach is way better then Rum Beach in my old passporter and on a few websites. Does anyone have any input on this.Last time we did Sting Ray city and that was awesome! I hope to do some snorkeling at CCay.

Adam will be wearing a suit for formal night and a shirt/tie for semi-formal night. I still don't know what I'll be wearing as I'm waiting for the post-Easter and prom sales to take place!

I actually didn't order the Mary Jane water shoes, but rather the Mary Jane Trekker shoes! I already have some LandsEnd water shoes from 2 years ago that are in outstanding shape and are already broken-in!

As for where I'll be wearing them...
1. Key West: Wearing either the water shoes of Trekkers (both LandsEnd) with a swimsuit, rashguard, and shorts. We plan to rent bikes and ride them to Fort Zachary Taylor. There, we will explore the fort and snorkel as well. After doing these things, we'll be trying out some FKLP (maybe with some of the group, depending on how the time works out).
2. Grand Cayman: Wearing the water shoes for sure. We will be taking a taxi to Cemetary Beach. We will snorkel there and the meander our way down 7 mile beach snorkelling at several spots (Cali Shipwreck, Cheeseburger Reef, etc.)
3. Cozumel: Going to Nachi Cocum and taking a snorkel trip to Palancar Reef. Will definitely wear water shoes there.
4. Castaway Cay: Water shoes because the adult beach has all these tiny rocks and shells that irritate my feet!

Basically, I wear water shoes for most of my days at port. My water shoes are an "older" style and look a lot like white tennis shoes. I wear them with socks before snorkelling and then without after my feet get wet. I'll wear my Trekker-type shoes when I woulde normally wear tennis shoes.

I'm not a big fan of flip-flops just because we walk a lot and they tend to not have enough arch support for me. So...I will wear them around the ship a little, but not at port.

Here's Abbey. She doesn't open her eyes much anymore since she's been blind for so long...:sad2: But, she's happy and that's what matters the most to us!

Sonya: Adam goes through 1/2 bottle of sunscreen each day we are in the water. He slimes himself up before leaving the room and reapplies the stuff constantly. He rarely burns at all because he's so diligent about it. However, I burn like a lobster! I bought a long-sleeved rash guard hoping this will help a little...but we'll see!

Abbey is absolutely gorgeous!!!! We will have to spend hours boring each other with cocker stories on board!! They are such little personalities!!!

Love your FE as well! Eeyore is my fave - we have a lot in common! :thumbsup2

We can be lobsters together! :rotfl: Its always my shoulders, doesn't matter how much cream I put on them - I have the wrinkled shoulders of a 90 year old already!

Hope your tootsie starts to heal soon - ouch!

Ok...so here is our FE:

And finally, a picture of the dark chocolate tart that Yoni bought me on Sunday. We had split a bottle of wine in the room and enjoyed it with a couple of slices of pizza. I got tipsy and begged him to go buy me some dark chocolate and he more than came through! It was FABULOUS!!!!

LasVegasTart.jpg

!!

OK, so I love the FE, but I LURVE the chocolate tart!!!! Any of that in the post on the way to all your cruise buddies?!

where are you guys planning on using the water shoes?

I am going to break mine in in Typhoon Lagoon as I always burn my feet there! Then I will be wearing mine on Castaway Cay as I heard the beach is really stoney, and in Grand Cayman as we are doing the Sea Trec :scared1: (which I am dreading!)

I dont think you can pay my husband to wear a tux. He hates to dress up . He is strickly a jeans and t-shirt man. I sometimes wish i married a metrosexual lol. He is more of the rocker kinda man. He will wear dress shirts but thats all.
.

I could throttle Tony! Months I have been asking him to check his suit (he is doing suit, not tux to answer the actual question); MONTHS! He has just announced he thinks the trousers will be too small on his suit! I do not know when we are going to get time to go shopping the next few weekends for a new one, and I am pretty sure he won't be losing much weight to fit in to the existing ones, with a weekend of chocolate eggs coming up! MEN! Why must they leave everything so last minute?!

Now off to Tony's sisters for a couple of days to take our nieces and nephews some easter eggs, so will speak to everyone over the weekend. Have a good few days! :goodvibes

We are on the same cruise as the rest of you...We made ressies @ Nachi Cocum me, DH, & our 5yr old...is anyone else worried about taking a taxi there?

We were also planning on going to Sea Grape in Grand Cayman, & maybe trying the aquarium & walking around Key West.

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS CRUISE!!:yay:

:cheer2::cheer2:WELCOME!!!!:cheer2::cheer2:

We are glad you are joining us!

Sonya -- have safe travels this Easter weekend. We will miss you!!!!

As for the chocolate tart -- it was as rich and delicious as it looked but not near as big as the picture makes it look. It did take me 2 days to eat it (sorry Sonya, did not do you proud) and was dark chocolate (my favorite!). YUMMMMMM

Now, for some bad news.......my Land's End order arrived today. *SIGH* Ok, everything fit, just didn't quite looked right. The shorts were a bit big (which is good I know but not the best fit regardless for my body). The bottoms of both swimsuits looked great but the tops -- well, let's just say they didn't work out. On a positive note -- my swim shoes fit and feel FABULOUS! Like Cinda, I think I could wear them with socks (they look like tennis shoes almost) and then remove socks to wear them in the water. Ok, so it all goes back AND I think I am done trying this mail order clothes thing. I will spend Friday returning the Disney swimsuits and the Land's End suits. Oh well!
