May 16, 2004 / 4 Day Wonder

I found two more 5/16 sailiers hiding on the cruise board. I guess our small group really wont be the only ones sailing on 5/16 :)

I checked with MIL again last night, no docs yet on our end either. Maybe I will complete the pillowcases over the coming days to keep me under control
:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Scottie, I see you sent them this way.

Just noticed that someone got their 5/6 documents via UPS. Now I just don't know which delivery dude to look for.

Sounds like Scott H is ready for a vacation in the sunny south. Me too, but it has been a little nicer here. Just some rain. Not too cold. Clock is countin down the days. :sunny:

Yes I do...

But teaching SCUBA helps me think of the good times down in the Caribbean Sunshine. It will be nice.

Have a Happy Easter everone.

I just noticed that some folks for a 5/20 cruise have received their documents, Now I am really bummed and very anxious about getting our documents.

I know if I call on Monday they will show up right after I call. Relax, we have a month to go, me the type A planner is going nuts.

Ordered new wetsuits yesterday, so Lynn and I will be styling on Castaway Cay.

Hope everyone is having a good holiday!

I'm just a week away from my WDW trip and I can hardly stand the anticipation! This time next Sunday, I'll be landing at MCO. Woohoo!

Okay, I'm done jumping up and down.

Amy,

Lucky you, I am sure you will have a great trip and a Happy B-Day. WDW is a fun place to celebrate. Please give us a report when you return. I am sure you will have a great time.

Lynn had a late shift last night so I am trying to be quite and keep the Malamutes quite while she sleeps.

Happy Easter to everyone on the winter recovery cruise...off to help the kids find their easter baskets!!

Scott- I was reading your post about the DVC gathering. I was almost sure I read something recently that lead me to believe they do offer a gathering on the 4-night sailing. Guess I will keep my eyes peeled on the navigators to double check when we board.

Hi, everyone planning to sail the 16th of May! Be gentle with me, I've NEVER posted on the DIS boards before!! ;-)

We just booked 2 weeks ago as a last minute high school graduation present for my neice! My hubby and I have cruised twice together on the Magic, 1 eastern, 1 western, and I cruised the eastern with his Mom in Sept.

Is it still a rumor or fact that Deb Wills will be on this cruise? She was in the same group as we were in Sept!

Anyway, hello again and we'll be watching for you at the Sailaway party!

Kelli, Keith and Nicole!

Welcome aboard kellib36, I'm sure I speak for all in welcoming you to these boards, you'll find alot of useful information here.

At first we look like we're insane, then you'll see that we're really crazy.(for Disney)

Yes, welcome aboard Kelli, we are delighted to have you as part of our great group!
My understanding is that Deb Willis will be onboard.

:wave2:

Deb is a great person, she spent a lot of time with my 82yo mil on that cruise. It was for breast cancer survivors, of which Deb and my mil are both lucky to be able to say.

As far as our excursions, we plan to do the stingray tour at Nassau (Keith and I did it at Grand Cayman and LOVED it) and we'll do parasailing and the glass bottom boat at Castaway Cay.

We parasailed in January and loved it, but the glass bottom boat was sold out when we wanted to do it in Sept. We aren't going to tell my niece any of our plans til its time. She's always been the most adventurous of the family, so she'll love it!

Also, the dolphin excursion through Disney is sold out according to my TA.

My last piece of info for now is that my TA told me it looked like we got THE last cabin on the cruise. That doesn't exactly jive with the way I understand DCL does things though. I was under the impression that they upgrade people 60-90 days out so that the less expensive cabins are available at the last minute. But I'm not complaining, we were looking for Cat 6, but that was sold out, and we ended up with Cat 5. We won't know our cabin number til we get our docs, though. Our first cruise was Cat 6, and Keith doesn't want anything less now.

Anyway, hello to everyone, and I can't wait to meet you all in person. Special hello to Scott, we were in Jackson over President's Bday this year as is usual for the past 20 years. We'll have to chat!

Talk to you all soon, Kelli

I don't want to burst any bubbles, and I hope that I'm just reading the info wrong. But, I think that Deb is only joining the Freewheelin' group during the land portion of their trip.

The info about the trip on AllEarsNet.com and MouseEarVacations.com just mentions time with Deb Wills while at WDW.

I'll do a little jump for joy if I'm wrong, but I thought I'd mention what I had been reading.

Kelli,

Were you at Mouse fest??? I remember meeting some one from Cheyenne last December. Meet too many folks to remember them all. You musta been in Jackson for the Cutter Races, just a guess.
Good to have a fellow Wyominite (sp?) aboard, there are so few of us. Folks from the east don't realize we are in the same state and 435 miles apart.

You will like a Cat 5, we have done them 7 out of 8 trips. Once we had a Nav Veranda, and we really liked it.

Scottie, we also will see if there is a DVC meeting a let ya know. I doubt they would miss the chance to sell an add on.

Trip to the Dentist today, no fun.

Happy belated Easter to everyone! It rained in Jersey yesterday and it is raining again today. We are living in Rainsville!!!! Can't wait to be on our cruise in nice warm (hopefully sunny) weather. Hello Kelly and welcome to the boards!

Chilly and rainy here, too. It's just making me anticipate the warm Florida sun that much more.

On a positive side for ME, I will sleep really well today. My room will be nice and dark and the sound of the rain hitting my roof is better than a Benadryl toddy.

How could I forget? My docs are on the way! My TA sent me an e-mail today to tell me that they're here!

Deb will be meeting with the Free-wheelin' group during the land portion of that land/sea vacation, which begins with four days at AKL.....
