May 14, 2012 - Va-moose-ing to Vancouver!

So, I guess it's time to say good bye to this thread. We've changed our cruise to Mar 4, 2012 Mexico instead to take advantage of the KSF promotion. It saved us about $936, so more money to spend at the park :)

THanks everyone. Enjoy your cruise!

Just realized that I hadn't signed up for this forum. We are booked B-2-B from LA-Vancouver, then the 5/21 cruise to Alaska. It will just be my DH and me. We love doing FEs.:goodvibes

Welcome! I wish we were doing the b2b thing as it will be very painful to leave the ship.

I'm still here!

I think it is just a busy time of year for most people. This thread will likely pick up after Christmas. I know that I haven't done any serious planning yet. I am really excited about the stop in San Fran (and wish we had more time there!).

We're here too. I agree that board has been quiet but we are all super excited for our cruises. We now have our flights booked and are waiting patiently to book excusrions in January. Happy Holidays all!

Yeah I'm here too! Just busy trying to do Christmas stuff and get ready for Baby Girl #3! My house is such a mess that I'd be embarrassed for people to come visit her hehe. Just trying to get everything in order for the big event :thumbsup2

Oh my gosh! Holiday AND Baby! Congratulations :)

Are you cruising with your children, or is this going to be just a duet?

We will have all 3 girls :) We can't imagine leaving them behind! It's so fun to see their faces. Experiences do a lot for them too. The last cruise we went on got my oldest daughter to eat a few years ago. She was tube-fed but actually tried stuff on the cruise. Then we did Disneyland/SoCal trip this October and again Disney got our second daughter to talk finally LOL :) I fully expect these 2 to have a blast on the cruise! The new baby though will likely just sleep for most of it I think.

Brooding over how I'm going to get home from Vancouver. Right now, I think we'll take the train to Seattle and fly home on Southwest. What are y'all's plans for getting home?

We're taking the next cruise to get back to Seattle :)

I'm hopping on the bus...I would walk but all that luggage will be to much of a pain :lmao:

Seriously, there were a lot of people who did the train and fly this year and had a good experience so you might want to look at some trip reports from the Alaska cruises or look in the huge Vancouver thread to check out the ups and downs.

My best friend, his son and I are on this cruise, too. We'll be flying out of Seattle and had hoped to take the Amtrak down from Vancouver, but the trains are only very early in the morning (earlier than we debark the ship) or later in the afternoon for a rather late arrival in Seattle. In between, Amtrak just runs motorcoaches. After much deliberation, we decied we'd take an Amtrak motorcoach in the late morning and then stay in Seattle overnight and take in a Mariner's game (they're at home against the Rangers on 5/21), since my friend's son is a baseball fanatic. Then, we'll fly home Tuesday at a more leisurely pace.

This sounded like SUCH a good idea, but my spouse wasn't up to go back to back to back for a total of FOUR weeks, so sadly, after only a page, we're leaving this cruise - in favor of this great idea next year. B2B repo - Alaska! Thanks for the suggestion:goodvibes Hope you all have a FABULOUS journey!

Ok..time to start getting serious here - the holidays are almost over and the cruise is coming quickly!

Secret Mickey sign-up info will be out soon. The deadline to sign up will be February 10th with the emails going out by February 14th :lovestruc.

Please do not shop for your SM until you know who you have. Gifts that do not match thier likes are no fun :(.

FE sign-ups will have a deadline of February 14th as well to allow everyone time to come up with thier ideas.
