When I saw an eclipse in Cornwall UK they gave out loads of special glasses to watch it with - do you reckon Disney will do the same thing?![]()
I am really hoping that DCL will do something special for it! It looks like this will be the first one ever visible from a DCL ship!
I thought you guys might be interested... There will be a solar eclipse on May 20th starting at around 5:00pm and finishing at about 6:30pm (Pacific time zone for Seattle and Vancouver).
It will be about 80% in Vancouver. This link shows the path of the eclipse:

This one is the table showing the times but it's in UTC-0 time zone so convert to Vancouver's UTC-8 + 1 hour for daylight savings. Therefore, the eclipse begins at about 5:00pm. The max eclipse (peak coverage) will happen at about 6:15pm. It will end at about 7:23pm. Also the sun will be about 24 degrees off the horizon so we should be able to see it above the trees and buildings.
