:cool1: The Arndt Family (Garry, Margaret, Adrienne 16, Mike 8, Matt 6 and Megan 5), will be going to Grills at 5:30 on Friday before we sail. It will be nice to put faces with names. Has anyone been to Grills before? Any suggestions on where/how we should all meet? Looking forward to a wondeful cruise.

Verandah Man - Thanks for clearing that up. Since a lot of people have cruised before, they know!

Another quesion if I may! When do you find out your dinner rotation? Do they still have the High Tea with Wendy? Is it too late to book or do they say some spots for people when they board the ship?

I do appreciate all the help you guys are giving me. I am so looking forward to this trip!

I'll try to answer what I can. You will find out what your dinner rotation is when you get your KTTW card in the terminal, your rotation will be on the front of your card. I believe they still have the Tea with Wendy, but I don't know how the booking is done for that.

Grills sits along the port channel and you can view the ships as they leave the port. I've never eaten at Grills, but I have been on the outside of it to watch the Magic sail past while visiting Florida on occasion. If you click on this link, it will give more more of an idea of what Grills offers and it's location.

Nuts4dzny-I've read on other threads that you can get tickets for the "tea with Wendy...which supposedly is now with Alice and the Mad Hatter?" at guest services. Just a couple days ago someone had posted a thread about this and how it was offered on 2 days....I want to say Monday and Thursday. They said the tickets for Monday went by 4 PM on Saturday. The same person said the Thursday tea time conflicted with their kids practice at the Oceaneer's Club/Lab for the graduation ceremony.

The tuxedos I purchased from Ebay came yesterday. They are so cute. The material is nicer than I thought it would be. I had the boys try them on and they never asked why I bought them (the trip is a surprise). My younger son said "now I can do magic!" and my older son said he'd look really good on Easter! My parents found someone at a craft show that makes bowties and cumberbunds so we may have him make some if we find Disney/Mickey material we like. If not, we'll stick with the black ones they came with.

Good morning everyone...

They do still have Tea With Wendy. My DW/DD went to it in '04, signed up onboard I dont know if you can book via the online res. Neither were overwhelmed with the event. I just ask DD & she said it was fun, go figure..

We ate at Grills in '04. The food was pretty good, the wait was terrible. I think we had about 12 of us in the group & they would not take a reservation over the phone. The first group there put in the res, then it started raining. That is what really caused it to be such a long wait. With the rain they loose alot of seating.

Last time we just made the reservation under Dis and they would show you were the group was waiting. You can also tell by the glowing faces who is going on a cruise ;)

Hi all
I just asked about the Tea w/ ALice. It is held on 2 days and you have to go to gs when you board, it can't be done beforehand.

Thanks everyone for all the help. I guess my sister will get in line at guest services when we board to see about getting the High Tea Ressies with her daughter.

Since we are coming down on the 12th but staying at the AKL I doubt we will be able to do Grills. But it does sound neat!

Hanover - So glad your Tuxes arrived safe and sound and I am glad you like them. My order will be here on the 20th I just got a shipping notice from UPS. I went to JC Penney's yesterday and found tuxedo shoes for both my DS and DH for buy 1 get 1 at 50% off! The first pair was only $29.99 so the second pair cost me $14.99! Boy I am saving a ton on these outfits!

The next thing I ordered off eBay was a 43" rolling garment bag brand new that will fit my dresses. I bought another garment bag at JC Penney yesterday on sale for $49.99 that will fit both Tuxes and shoes. The eBay one cost me $67.00 total including shipping! So I can't wait to get that one!

I am just getting ready to call Disney Gifts Dept. to order a surprise package for my sister's room and for our room. I am ordering the Fruit & Cheese Platter The Deluxe Fruit Medely and the Bon Voyage Iron Horse Champagne. Also 2 flower arrangements the Spring Blossom item and then the Bon Voyage package for my sister which is decorations and a cake! So everyone will be surprised!

I will let you guys know how it goes! Thanks again for answering all my questions

I just called my mom to wish her a Happy 70th Birthday, and I got a surprise. My mom said she had just received a "Welcome Aboard" type package from DCL welcoming her back for the May 13th cruise. Well, I guess the cat is out of the bag now. At least she did get surprised, just a week earlier then we had planned to tell her. :lmao: I told her not to tell anyone else in the family that she knows about the cruise at least for another week.

Verandah Man - What a nice surprise from the DCL but like you said a week earlier than you expected to tell her!

I called Disney Gifts and I was a little upset. Half of the stuff that they show on their WEB site is NOT available. I can't belive it! I told the lady to make a remark that Disney needs to do some serious updating with their WEB site. I am not very happy with the way you have to book excursions. Half the time I try and I have Comcast cable connection and a brand new Dell Computer, I can't get through it says error. Then if you want to see if another time slot is available you have to actually cancel what you have then go see if the time is available and then hope that nobody took your spot while you were checking because you could get really messed up if that time wasn't available and you needed your original slot back!

Oh well, sorry for venting but I feel that for the money Disney has they should have a dedicated phone service available for those who aren't computer people.

But I did get to order some nice gifts that will be waiting for us upon our arrival and they are a surprise for everyone but me of course!

Hey Nutz, I feel your frustration w/the online reservations. They went 99 yards with it & then dropped the ball :furious:

You could contact Shirley at Perfect Gift to fill in your missing gifts, she does a fantastic job!!!

The first day of Spring is Monday, yea right it is like 15 degrees here today....

8 weeks from today, we sail away!!!

Hi Everyone ...If I said I wasn't jealous of so many of you getting that FL resident rate I would not be telling the truth!, but happy for all just the same...

Since a majority of the DCL tours require kids to be a minimum of 5 yrs old to participate, I'm curious to know what some of you with a 4 yr. old in the family are doing. Any suggestions?

Littlebunny - I saw your thread a few pages back, but I did not see any responses...have you made any decisions? We MIGHT do the butterfly tour, but we haven't made any solid plans yet.

Here is a technical question for you. Does anyone know what happened to my signature picture and why I am getting a red X? I am editing this because now it is coming up! On the last thread I posted, a different thread than this, it was coming up as a red X. Oh, well I guess it fixed itself!

Seems I am 480 by 321 Pixels. So I am over by 121 pixels. I did that so long ago I forgot how to re-do it. What about the DCL Picture of the day? Some of those pics are hugh! No guidelines for those? I guess I am confused. I want to change my picture anyway where do I start?

The size regulation applies mainly to the signature photos.

OK, I changed my picture but it still is over a bit in the Pixels. I went on tech boards and asked them for help. I am on my way out but when I get back I hope to fix it! At least I was able to change picture, this is my DH and myself last Christmas at WDW in MGM at the Osborne lights.

Another winter is "officially" over and I am so happy :) about that!!!

When I arrived home from work today I found an e-mail from my travel agent, she wrote to let me know that my family has been upgraded to a cat. 6 cabin on deck 6, we will now be in cabin 6562!!! :goodvibes

Spring arrives and a cabin upgrade on the same day, it can't get much better than this!!! :woohoo:

Edited to add:

Oh yea, I forgot to mention, I also got my Disney Rewards card in the mail today as well, I already called DCL and had those reward dollars added to my stateroom credit!!! It sure has been a MAGICal day!!! :teeth:
