Hi!

Just catching up here today...

Shelly - Is it still snowing? I agree with you about DDP and your son. Even my kids can't eat that much food in a day. I think the DDP is a good idea, but it is not for everyone.

Seacrest

Not snowing at the moment. It's been on and off all afternoon. It isn't cold enough to stick to the ground yet, but it will be soon.

Yes, there's no way I'd pay that adult price for a 10 year old kid. I think that is ridiculous! They should offer a Jr. price for ages 10-15 or something. Just my opinion!! ;)

It's Report Card day here! I can't believe 9 weeks of school are over already.

This is the first year for letter grades for DS8, and I am happy to report that he got 7 A's and 2 B's !!!!! :woohoo: This is such great progress for him. I think he just earned quite a few Disney dollars!!

DS6 just gets progress marks in several things that are either - Beginning, Developing, or Secure. He did really well too, with 0-beginning, 2-developing, and 26-secure !! I sure hope this is a sign of good things to come for him and he won't have to struggle and work as hard as his brother has had to just to keep his head above water.

Okay I am done bragging now!!

I am going to wait and get it for the girls for christmas, I usually buy them the dvd when they come out. But I think they will appreciate more if Santa brings it as well as High School Musical 2 and Meet the Robinsons

Not a big HSM2 fan - but I liked MTR a lot. When my wife taught, the kids in who were in after care would see HSM1 DVD all the time. It drove my wife nuts every time she heard "We All In This Together". LOL

Yea, I know what you mean. It is that time of year where you just start stashing stuff aside for the holidays.

My kids now have their own money, jobs and such, I come home and it just shows up. My oldest works for a cd/movie store so he brings home stuff almost everyday.

Aww, Shelly, that is so wonderful about the boys. They are doing so good in school! You have a right to brag, and we are all friends so we will be happy to rejoice with you! :woohoo:

Seacrest, yes, it's my version of Southern- American- Chinese, Ha ha. Fried rice with Teriyaki chicken added in.

Very yummy.

I have been wanting chinese food and the one place I know of around here is a bit more than I want to pay for all of us. Maybe DH and I will go out and leave Mary Cat babysitting one night.

Yea, that is a good idea - a junior pricing.

I can't remember, but is the DDP good at DTD? Could you use it at Rainforest?

Oh that sounds very good, Jo. I love anything with Teriyaki sauce on it.

As soon as I read that I started craving fried rice. Now I am going to make it. :lmao: :lmao: I used to make a great recipe and it tasted just like Bennihana's SOOO YUMMY. I have to find the recipe now.

YAY!!!! Fried Rice! Fried Rice! Fried Rice!

Okay, story time.

Last year in September we came to Pittsburgh to house hunt and went to a Bennihana's for the first time. They asked if I wanted fried rice, I said yes.

OMG.

They proceeded to put CRISCO (I'm not kidding) in it. Is that normal? Because I thought it was and I got so ill.:) (Okay, everyone stop laughing. I know it's not hard to make me ill, but come on. Crisco???):rotfl:

Post your receipe, please Huggie! I need new stuff to cook!

Jo

I wish I could have a parent teacher conference so I could tell the teachers how bad they are misbehaving right now.

Michelle~

How's everything? Still in our thoughts and prayers, as always.

Ill Crisco. Are you sure it wasnt garlic butter?? It looks like a blob? I mix it up at home and add it to the rice. I am starving and dinner is going to be another 30 minutes.

All the Bennihana's I have been to didn't cook or use Crisco to my knowledge.

But, I do know none of them can pronounce our last name correctly.

Jo, you need to remind them to use "clean butter" for your fried rice next time.

They must have run out of butter that night. It was White shortening. And it tasted like it too. Coated the roof of your mouth. EWwww, gross.

Yours sounds good, Huggie. I hope it hurries up for you!

Jo

BTW, Seacrest, clean butter is a must for everyone! It's a right I firmly believe in.:)

Goodnight everyone! I'm off to eat supper! Have a good one!
