Adr's? Does that mean our dining reservations? Sorry...I am so new to this. :earsboy:
You sound how I sounded about 1 month ago. I an a newbie too but you pick up easily...... I have gotten a lot of advice from these wonderful ladies and gentlemen.....

Well since we planned our trip so late (just 4 weeks ago) he didn't have a lot of options. These are the 4 we have right now

May 13th-Liberty Tree for Dinner

May 14th-Chef Mickey for breakfast

May16th- 1900 Park Fare for dinner

May 19th- Hollywood and Vine for breakfast

Sounds like great choices! We are trying Chef Mickey's for the first time, but for dinner. And Hollywood & Vine, dinner also!

We have had the cake at Chef Mickey's. If you are interested, call the ADR line a week before your trip, let them know you need to order a cake for CM. They will give you the number to call to order. It is a good cake, not great but good. A lot like you would get at the bakery at your local supermarket. The next year we just let my ds get the cupcake with the candle which is free. The other dessert's at CM are so good that dh, dd and myself would rather have them than the cake.

We have had the cupcake at 50's PrimeTime as well. It is the same cupcake.

Also, we had a cake delivered to our room at the GF. It was supposed to be delivered while we were at HDDR, however, the person showed up 30 minutes early with the cake, before we left for HDDR. It was to be a surprise for ds since he thought he wasn't getting a cake. They don't do that at HDDR. When the cake came early, boy was I steamed. :headache: DH thinks the delivery person wanted a tip. The cake there was yummy as well. I used the conceirge at the front desk. Also, everything was noted correctly, the cake was just delivered at the wrong time. DH talked to the hotel manager, just to let him know that the surprise went wrong. We were not charged for the cake (which we didn't realize until going over our bill while flying home) and ds received balloons in the room the next day which was a big surprise.

Let me know if I can be of more help!

I actually had it posted on the welcome board but haven't gotten too many replies. So I thought it might be better here with the rest of the MAYERS. Thanks in advance for your help. Roxanne :thumbsup2

Hi,
My Name is Roxanne and I am new to the Disboards. I actually joined a couple of weeks ago but have been to shy to post until now. Me and my family are taking our first trip to WDW in May and are completely thrilled. We are staying at the Pop Century from the 12th -19th. Our 12th Anniversary is on the 11th of May so we are celebrating that along with a couple of birthdays. My Dh birthday is on May 19th and I really want to surprise him with a birthday cake or something special. Can anyone suggest a good "Birthday" restaurant that I can order a cake from? I have looked on the "Birthday/Anniversary thread, but still am confused about what is good and what I need to avoid. Also my Dd Birthday is two weeks after we leave WDW so I am thinking that maybe we could celebrate a little early and have a birthday cake for her as well? She is going to be turning 7...any ideas on a fun place to take her to celebrate? We also have a 4 year old Ds who is Autistic so I hoping not to overwhelm him. Thanks for all your help.

Just a suggestion...Wilderness Lodge...Whispering Canyon Cafe or the MK Crystal Palace....Chef Mickey's can be loud and confusing at times but the food is good and the character are a lot of fun. At the Whispering Canyon Cafe there are things your children can participate in if they want to...and let them know you are celebrating a birthday.
