Free Nights Package Offer for January-June 2009
Disney is offering a fantastic "free nights" vacation package offer. This is probably the best offer I've seen since 2003. It is valid for stays January 4 through June 27, 2009 (with April 5-18 blacked out).

Here are the details:

Buy a 4-night/4 day vacation package, get a 7-night/7-day package. That's 3 FREE hotel nights and 3 extra days on your theme park admission tickets!

Travel between January 4 and March 29 and you will also get a $200 Disney Gift Card, redeemable for dining, souvenirs and more at Walt Disney World! (Travel after March 29 does not include the Gift Card.)
So how much will this save you? Here are three examples (amounts approximate):

Family of 4 (2 Adults, 1 Junior age 10-17, 1 Child age 3-9), staying at a Value resort, Standard room, January 8-15 (7 nights): $276.75 savings on hotel room + $38.33 savings on tickets + $200 gift card = $515.08 total savings.

Family of 4 (2 Adults, 1 Junior age 10-17, 1 Child age 3-9), staying at a Moderate resort, Standard room, January 8-15 (7 nights): $502.88 savings on hotel room + $38.33 savings on tickets + $200 gift card = $741.21 total savings.

You must buy a package that includes at least 4 nights' accommodations at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel plus minimum 4-day Magic Your Way Base Tickets to qualify for the FREE nights and the extra days on your tickets.

You can stay longer than 7 nights (up to 10 nights) with this package, but there is a maximum of 3 free nights and 3 extra days per ticket, per stay. You can stay less than 7 nights, but you still must purchase 4 nights, so you'll end up with less than 3 free nights/extra days.

well guys i just spoke to my DH and he isn't interested.... .... but he said i can have a girls vacation..... So me and my DD are going to WDW!!!!!!! I was reviewing everything... my DD and myself going to CBR with dining plan with air would be 2300.... which is not bad since without the deal it would be 2300 just for the resort.... but i was wondering if it is unfair for me to go... my DH is the only one working I am getting unemployment and we have some savings but should I just leave it until we can all go in about 2 - 3 years... I just don't want to seem unfair to him. He did tell me to go but I feel a little selfish... what should I do guys... Please give me advice......

Sorry to leave you hanging! I understand where you're coming from with feeling selfish. I feel the same way about going in May. I am living with my parents because I can't afford to live on my own and I am going on an expensive trip..... again. Sounds pretty ridiculous doesn't it? But, they want us to go - they are excited for us and who knows how many more opportunities am I going to get like this?

Here's how I feel about it:

You only regret the things that you don't do. You'll always find the money. You just do. You figure it out and you eat out one less time or buy one less pair of shoes to make it happen. I know that this seems really irresponsible of me - but to me I would rather experience as much and go away as much as I possibly can. If your hubby is willing to let you go - I say GO! Go and have a great time with your little girl and savor every second of it. You will probably not get too many chances to go away with just the 2 of you.

I understand why it's a hard choice, so I hope that you can work it out!

P.S - I may be biased because we will be there at the exact same time! We could have a mini MAYers meet up

Mornin MAYers!

Hey Mari! We decided to stay at POP. We figured that we are never in our room anyways - POP has their own bus and it's closer to everything than the other values.

We knew that money was not unlimited and if we wanted to go again this year then something would have to be cut back on.

Since Bob was insistant on the dxdp again - our resort was teh next logical choice.

I told him that I would like to be able to go back every year and if that will ever happen - then we will have to do 1 week in a value no hopper and the regular ddp at best.

The only reason that we are going "all out" again with the dxdp is because it's our 1st anniversary and we wanted to make it a little more romantic with the signature dining.

We'll see! I hope that you guys get to go! If not, then you still have you January trip to look forward to!
