hi all.

Nc- happy bday to your dd

Well I voted for obama. I've always been democrat. Although Mccain is a great man and I agree with a lot of his stance on some issues. The way I see it we all have our right to have our own opinions. Well in my town we vote in the library and waited maybe 5 min. My dmil loves in NYC and she waited for about 2 hours. That was crazy.

Well, good morning MAYers.

Happy post election day!

My man didn't win-:guilty:
however- I am looking forward to seeing some changes brought about under Obama.:)

It was so exciting last night that...

I fell asleep.
:rotfl:
Seriously- I cannot get used to this time change thing! I fall asleep every night at 8 and get up every morning at 5. MCat isn't any better. When I come down stairs every morning, she is up already doing schoolwork.

She is so stressed out, trying to play catch up with her work at school. I am afraid that I won't be able to pull her out ever again for a trip to WDW. It's just too stressful for her. :sad2:

I listened to my first Christmas CD of the year this morning! My MIL used to sing in a choir that was directed by two ex Disney singers- you know the accappella group that sings in the American pavillion in Epoct? Anyway- she gave me two of the CD's the group had made and it is soooo beautiful.
We always listen to it in the palace (hahaha- my name for her house b/c it is pristine and gorgeous filled with European antiques) when we go home for Christmas.

So anyway, now I'm all Christmas-y feeling but I have some yuck news.

I think my dog has a cataract in his eye. It's really weird looking and i have an appt for him tomorrow. I was reading about the surgery and it's so expensive. We'll have to travel to Oklahoma for a specialist. I am so sad.

So let's talk turkey and get me out of this funk.

Who's hosting Turkey Day at their house?
That would be me.

I am ready to eat!!!

Jo

I am also very excited to see the changes that are about to take place under Obama.

I host Christmas dinner, not Thanksgiving. Actually we are going out to dinner with DH"s family next Saturday night for Thanksgiving. A bit early I know. But it was the only night his one brother could get his kids from his ex or something like that. Then we will go to my Dad's for Thanksgiving dinner.

JO - I took my dog to the vet a few months ago. He has a cataract too. The vet didn't seem too concerned though. Maybe because my dog is 12 1/2 years old. . .

Hope you are feeling better Sea! :goodvibes

Have a great day MAYers!

Well we are having my DH's friends come over 1 week before turkey day. Since we usually spend it at my mother's house. But his friends that come are all in charge of bringing over 1 dish good for me that means I only have to cook 1 things.... YAY and cheaper on the pocket. So that will be nice you actually reminded me that I have to go start looking for thanksgiving stuff.

Jo - Oh Mcat is a smart girl she will catch up. But i remember when i used to have to catch up in school. It's crazy and you feel totaly lost. But like I said she will be alright. Come on now she is Jo's daughter. Sorry to hear about your doggy..... Hope he gets better....

Morning everyone! :flower3:

Well, I was undecided until I got to the polls last night. I was walking in and I was still changing my mind. LOL :lmao: :upsidedow

I was hoping that I would have more time to contemplate in the car, but of course it was the one day that there was NO rush hour traffic  ....

And then I hoped that there would be a 3 hour line like in other cities.... :rolleyes1 .... Of course I walked right up to an open machine

So, I went with my gut and voted for Obama. :goodvibes Although McCain has most of the core values that I believe in - I felt that Obama would be the better choice for my immediate situation and may be the better choice for my future.

We'll see - I hope that he doesn't prove me wrong. Reguardless, I am happy that this was an election that has forever moved the country forward and made the great divide a little bit smaller. Hopefully, now *all* children can realize that the white house isn't that unattainable for them and no matter what age, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation etc... they can achieve whatever they want. This is an election that will be in history books and we were here to live through it. Whether it turns out good or bad that's a pretty good feeling. :goodvibes

Ok, moving on -

I don't host any holiday festivities. Even when I wasn't living with my parents:rotfl:

I go to my grandparents houses and pig out and skate out of the kitchen before it's time to clean :rolleyes1 and I go watch football. LOL. Basically, Christmas and Thanksgiving turn me into a man. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

Have a great day everyone! I'm gonna go check on miss Jo's TR and see what shenanigans they got into - I'll check in later!!!

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

Y'all are killin me.:rotfl:

The wind is blowing like a gale here. I have one window open.
Still have a bit of the thick 'burgh blood running through the veins, but it's thinning out slowly.

I keep a hoodie handy often.

Jo
