Hey guys!

Pretty boring weekend around here (thank goodness :worship: ) Bob went in to work for a few hours. I'm just happy to have one week that I don't have to work 7 days. UGH. It's draining.

Today we are relaxing for a while and then tonight we are going to his grandparents house to have a "joint birthday" party for his gram, dad, and uncle because all of their birthdays are in the first week of November.

We're skating out of there early to go to a party at a couple that I work with's house. It's gonna be Pirate/Rock Band themed!

:rockband:

:rotfl:

Should be fun!

Tomorrow, no big plans - just the Steeler game and some laundry
:laundy:

Jo + Hawaii =,:drinking1, :beach:
Heather + Hawaii = :rotfl: ............ :rolleyes1 ............:rolleyes1
Yeah right! I wish!

Go 'head girl! I'd skip WDW for a year too!

Sea - What's Bat's day? Sounds scary :scared1: :rotfl:
Everyone have a great weekend!!!!

Hey-

Shelly- I know you and your DH are on a romantic vacation get away- I hope that you are having fun! But i thought i'd pass this along- it has pics of January crowds (NONE)... http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2002282 I think you've picked an awesome time to go!

Hey to everyone.

I'm off to take Belle to the Dr- ear ache.

MArk and i had a coffee date this morning to Starbucks- we've decided we're going to startdoing it every Sat morning. Fun.

Gotta go-
J~

PS- RF- this is me on the way to Hawaii-:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :sad2: :guilty: I HATE long plane rides. The worst was to Germany when I was 15.
Hated it.

Good Morning all.....

This weekend i've been trying to figure out the ressies I want to make... So far i have:

Chef Mickey - Dinner
Crystal Palace - Dinner
Hollywood & Vine - Breakfast
1900 Park fare - Dinner
Princess Storybook - Dinner

I'm missing 2.... should i do le Cellier.... it is only my DD and me I really wanted to do just character meals for her sake but there aren't that many to choose from and I'm doing all early dinners... HELP me out guys....

However- it seems that crowds have tripled in October since we went in 2006- so I'm pretty sure we won't ever go back in October again.:sad2: And it was my favorite month- boo hoo! I read some people say that they thought the crowds were light. I was like- hum- not what I have in my pictures, but okay- you can go back if ya wanna- (May was much nicer.:snooty: )

Jo

When we went in October 2005 it was horribly crowded. That's why I was always surprised when you said that it wasn't in Oct. 2006. I just figured it was because we went the first week of the month. But I guess it's crowded all month long now. It's probably getting more popular like May. I thought May 2008 was way more crowded than May 2007.

Ohana is great like JO said. . . What about Donald's Tusker House breakfast at AK? We are doing that one in January. . . You should do LeCellier for you if you like it! I'm sure you DD won't mind! :)

JO - Did you end up doing Garden Grill? I forget. If you did, what did you think of it?

We really liked the character interaction but thought the food was just so-so.

DH and I had our weekend get-away this weekend. Well actually it was just one night, but still. :rotfl: We went to Seven Springs Resort. About an hour southeast of Pittsburgh. It is a very nice place. The room was so clean, I was really impressed. Sure beats the pants off of WDW housekeeping, no *pixie* dust to be found anywhere! :lmao: Too bad the walls were paper thin. We were on the ninth floor (out of 10). We could hear toilets flushing and water running most of the night. The entry way in the room and the bathroom was ceramic tile. Very nice, but very loud. Apparently the woman on the 10th floor directly above us had heals on. Enough said. :sad2: Good grief she was up so early and was in that bathroom clomping around for 1 1/2 hours! :scared1:

Anyway, very nice place, just request the TOP floor!!

Hi everyone! Very busy weekend. Went to DLR on Saturday and Sunday. Fantasmic! is now performing twice nightly on the weekends through the holidays. It was awesome.

Sunday was "Bat's Day" which is when all the goth kids show up to DLR in their full gear. We sort of dressed up...our friends did a lot better though. LOL!

We had to leave DLR early last night. My niece had her baby Sunday morning so we drove from DL to the San Fernando Valley. Crazy drive up, seven car pile up a spin out, etc. It is a miracle we got there in one piece. Niece had a baby girl. She is going to give it up for adoption in a couple of days.

Dropped my camera at DL yesterday and bent up lens ring flange. The lens wouldn't retract back into the camera, so I pried it off, and now it retracts back into the camera. Amazingly, the camera still works and I took some pretty good pictures with it. I am going to test it further for any other damage tonight.

I will post some pictures tonight...still trying to catch up on some sleep. Got to get going to a meeting. Have a great day.

hi guys...not much going on here, just a quick hi on my lunch break...

arrrgh, I really need a pixie dust fix! Can't wait to get to DL in December...

Finally got the last of my pics uploaded to Photobucket, so I should be able to finish my TR -- finally!

Other than that, not much else going on. Did a TON of laundry this weekend, and dishes, and shopping, and cooking, and my house is still a mess  I need like...two weeks off work with no other obligations and no interruptions, so I can clean, and organize my closets, and get my life in order. Ah well, not gonna happen anytime soon :lmao:

Mari, 1900 PF has different characters for breakfast -- Alice and Mary Poppins, and Cindy and her friends at dinner. And breakfast at TH is supposed to be pretty good -- we loved lunch, but it's not a character meal. We loved breakfast with Lilo and Stitch at the Poly...

Sea, that's wonderful that your niece is giving her baby for adoption, it's hard, but a very loving thing to do. Hope your camera is ok -- we love your pics!

Has anyone been to Beaches and Cream and/or Big River Grille and Brewing Works??? I am looking for a TS meal in the Boardwalk area. . . I was thinking of going with Beaches & Cream, but they don't take ADR's. . . That makes me too nervous. . . So I was thinking of making an ADR at another Boardwalk area TS meal to have as a back up incase the wait at B&C is too long. . . But then was thinking that B&C might be too much like the Plaza (sandwiches and ice cream) and we are eating at the Plaza the previous day. . . I looked at the Yachtsman Steakhouse, but we are eating at LeCellier the next night and those menus seem pretty similar. . . So now I am looking at Big River Grille. . . HELP!!! :faint:

I'm glad you had a great time. It's good to get away from everything even if for 1 night. Especially when it's just you and the person you love. Come to think of it i think my DH and I need somethin glike that... we'll see what happens....

Sorry to hear about the camera. At least it still takes pics. It's a great thing that your niece is giving up her baby to adoption. I have a cousin that is adopted and it was one of the greatest things that happened to her. I hope you feel well... take all the sleep you need i know how crappy you must feel lately...

Well thanks to you and a couple of other MAYers I decided to add Ohana to my list...... so I now need only 1 more place for ADR.....

OH Honey i'm sorry i know figuring out ADR's is exhausting :faint: ... I can't help you since I have never been to either one of those.... But the Menu at BRG looks good.....

Yeah, I should probably research the dining threads about it. . . I have only heard one person's opinion of it and she said that she had bad service. . . but that can happen anywhere. . .

i think honestly all of the restaurants there get good and bad reviews. It's all up to a person's taste. Even if you see a raving review of the restaurant and you get there you can still go there on one of their off days....

Ooooh Shelly! we ate at BRG!!!! This trip!
I haven't gotten to that day yet- I deleted all of my pics on my TR b/c the last poster seemed very...strange. Something in that post raised the hackles on the back of my neck. So I am having a hard time starting the rest of my TR.

Anyway- we ate there on our Tuesday. It was freezing and that was the day we were all miserable. Mark's work went insane and the whole day was ruined. We were supposed to see Fantasmic that night and eat at 50's but all I wanted to do was go to sleep. So we went to Epcot for a couple of hours while he worked a bit on his blackberry and then hopped the boat to the Boardwalk. We had gone to guest relations in DHS to see if there were any openings anywhere in Epcot but there weren't. The CM told me that BRG doesn't take ressies but that there's never a long wait.

She was right.

We got there right at five and there were plenty of seats. I'd go back there. It is good food. :goodvibes I had the salmon dinner- with mashed potatoes and fresh sugar snap peas. It was good! Mark had the Mahi sandwich and he really liked it. The kids... um, oh dang what did they eat??????? Post a menu and I"ll tell you what they had ( if you have one)!

It was very easy to get over there and so for sure, we'd plan on going back again, esp if we were going to be at the boardwalk for the evening.

Never been to B&C though.

HTH- jo

I saw that Jo, and I know exactly which post you are talking about. I think it was meant as nothing but an innocent complement but still..... odd.

I understand why you feel the way you feel though - No one messes with the cubs unless you want to meet Mama Lion
