I hope all my fellow mayers have a great weekend. Be safe all....

Happy Labor Day, folks :goodvibes We just got home from Fort Bragg/Mendocino. It was beautiful, and a lot cooler at the coast than here in the valley. So now I'm just trying to catch up on weekend household chores that got procrastinated  Hope you are all having a good time with your families...

I'm still not sure what to do about the airport transportation -- it may cost as much to park my car in long term parking (or more ) than to pay for the airport shuttle van. Still looking at options....

Well, the kids just left for school about 30 minutes ago. :sad2: I am so sad that DS6 is gone all day this year. I loved half-day kindergarten last year when he was home at 11:00.

Okay, I'm going to go cry now!

Good afternoon Mayers!

Has anyone ever left their car in long term parking at an airport? Was your car fine when you got back? I'm really torn -- my son was going to drive us, but turns out he will be out of town. There is the airport van that will pick us up, but it's like $20 per person, each way -- so that would be $80 for the ride to and from the airport. Most of my friends work very early in the morning, so I don't want to impose on them to drive us to the airport late (our plane leaves at like...12:30 am Fri 9/19, so we have to be there about 10 or 10:30 pm Thursday night. Long term parking might end up costing us more...I just don't know... :confused3

hey kb! we actually just used the long term parking when we went to MA this weekend for bob's sisters wedding. our car was fine - we were parked 4 days and we only paid $27.... ok! that's just my .02 :goodvibes

Hey everyone! Hope everybody had a great weekend - I can't chat too long because I am still training - but I'll check in with a small New England TR when I can!

:goodvibes

Hey all... I had a great weekend. I had about 3 BBQ's to go to so i was out all weekend. I hope everyone enjoyed their vacation.

Shelly - Oh don't be sad.... it's all part of growing up.
RF - How was the wedding?????
KB - figure out which which would be easier for your family after a vacation... So what are your guys plans for when you are over there.

So i was talking with my DH about our May trip and he was telling me that i should give up hope. The only way its definetly out is if i end up starting a nursing program. So we'll see what happens. Like i said all the nursing programs around here start in the fall and i'm too late to join an of them now. So i would have to wait until next year so we'll see what happens with that as well......

I know the feeling. I was so sad when I walked Chloe into 5th grade this year. It will be my last time to walk one of my babies into school.

 I have an idea, go shopping! :goodvibes

I think I tried to stay really busy that day so I wouldn't cry as much.

RF - Can't wait for a New England TR! :goodvibes

Mari - Keep us posted on the nursing program. I just keep thinking and hoping there might be one that starts in January. That way you could have a little time off and then start. ;)

The universities here offering nursing programs as well as the hospitals. Is it that way in NJ?

Well, the NewCrews were in NW AR in this weekend and we did not have a Jo sighting. :sad2: I gues she is MIA.

Oh, I almost have all the pockets taped in and library cards made for the first 110 books plus the ones in the classroom.

The other books should arrive tomorrow!

:woohoo:

Off to finish the books!

Thanks for the support NC!! :goodvibes  I'm trying to keep busy around here. You're right, I should have just gone shopping instead!!

Hmm. . . I wonder where she is ? ? ? I have a number for her, but I'm pretty sure it was her home number from when she lived here, not a cell. . . Very strange that we haven't heard from her.

Hi Everyone!

Busy weekend here. Getting ready for my parents 50th anniversary party this upcoming Saturday. The relatives are coming in from all over the place this week - I have been really busy putting together photos, posters, slide show and video stuff.

Did have some time yesterday on LABOR DAY (that's for NC) to go down to DL for a few hours to see some friends and then we headed over to the Disney Outlet store to see what they had there.

The outlet is run by AMS, the same company that handles the rest of the stores nationwide. This store is a permanent store. It was mostly clothes, hats, and t-shirts. Some toys and DL merchandise like 50th anniversary mouse ear hats, for cheap as $3.00 each, some were buy one get one or two for free. They had childrens costumes, Alice, Belle, Tink, Sleeping Beauty, Buzz, Pirates, etc. Some of the merchandise is still available in the park stores. The discounts were pretty good. The do mark all the tags - some people try to take them back to DL to get refunds at full price - but all the stuff is first quality no irregulars. I will post some pictures later on. If anyone is looking for anything, let me know and I will pick it up for you.
