So the classes start on Jan 3 the week that we were supposed to go down to WDW with the family. I'm going to continue looking around for a different course but we'll see. and then I won't be able to go to WDW until atleast May 2010... after the course is finished..
Aww, Mari

Maybe it will still work out for you to go in January...but getting your nursing degree -- how awesome! WDW will still be there, waiting for you...
It is all coming together nicely. The relatives are starting to arrive from the airport since yesterday. Got all the picture poster displays done, candy bar wrappers finished, and the slide show completed. The caterer is ready - I think we are going to have over 100 people at my uncle's home. My parents are very excited to share and celebrate this time with their family and friends. It will be a blast!
Sounds like a great party! What do the candy bar wrappers say?
That's funny!!
That's what I love about us MAYers, we all have different opinions and we all remain friends!!
You don't find that on many other threads! So many times I've seen it - when someone likes a resort or a restaurant and then someone else doesn't they get all offended and a riot breaks out!!
We ate at Boulangerie on our first trip. DH still talks about how hard and stale the bun was on his sandwich! We must have gone on a bad day.
And yes, I think we are the only ones that don't care for Sunshine Seasons!
I'll have to check out the menu for Staring Rolls for DHS. Thanks!
Oh, believe me, I know, people get crazy! Some people I have just learned my lesson not to discuss with AT ALL

But sometimes someone has a good experience, someone else has a bad experience...sometimes people's tastes are just different.

There are a lot of people that love the Mexico CS, and DH and I didn't like it at all -- but that doesn't mean those other folks didn't enjoy it completely! We loved Tangierine and can't wait to eat there again -- but I know a lot of other people wouldn't be thrilled with hummus and couscous -- my DS17 would be

So GOOD -- there's something for everyone!
At Boulangerie, I think we just had pastries, and we loved them...but we wanted to try a lunch there this time -- if our bread is stale, we'll take it back!

For your lunch at DHS...with your kids you might look at the menu for Pizza Planet...I know that a lot of families with kids give that place a big
I agree Shelly. I really don't have the time nor the energy to venture out on to other areas on the Disboards. I have been very disappointed with a lot of the attitude of "I know what is best and you don't" and the unwillingness of to value other peoples ideas and experiences, on other places here on the boards.
Let's get real, not everyone is going to have the same experience when they visit the parks and hotels even they all booked at the same time and visited at the same time. Rides break down, food was prepared wrong, the total was wrong at the cash register, the pool had too much chlorine, the buses were always full, etc.
Honestly, some people need to lighten up and stop attacking people over minuscule things that have really no relevance in the bigger picture of life. Some people can't be happy just the fact they were able to take a vacation and spend time with their family and yet they rant about not finding that extra bar of soap in bathroom.
THANK YOU! Very well put, Sea...and you know, every time I've had an issue at Disney (which is not very often and almost always minor!) if I asked nicely, they've almost always set things right. We are all so fortunate to be able to go to Disney, I don't expect everything to be perfect, but it's always so magical...that's what keeps us coming back!
You're right Sea! It's a vicious world out there on the DIS boards!! I once shared my poor experiences at CSR, just agreeing with the OP and a swarm of CSR lovers attacked the crap out of me and DIS stalked me for weeks!
Do they seriously not have anything better to do??? And I've since seen them do it to many other posters as well.
Obviously not everyone is going to like or dislike the same things! DUH!! Why is everyone so shocked when someone doesn't agree with them???
Those resort boards are unreal sometimes.
absolutely! I'm glad we can share opinions, experiences, and advice without stepping on each others' toes

You guys have given me such good info...I really appreciate all of you!
I had a meeting at the school about my dd that went super great.

I am not sure if I told you guys or not, my dd is dyslexic and dysgraphic, and she qualifies for gifted and talented. She is a genious who at one time couldn't read, but reads at or above grade level now, can't spell, and has extreme difficulty writing and copying. Her new teachers love her.

And are completely on board with supporting her in any way she needs. She does not leave the regular class for extra tutoring, but needs to use a word processor and have some of her assignments shortened. She needs to be challenged with new information and concepts or the genious side of her brain gets bored, but doesn't need her assignments to be too long or she has trouble finishing them as it takes her forever to complete her writing asssignments. They completely get her. Right now the only assignments we are going to shorten will be math. She is really doing great this year. She has come a long way in the last couple of years. I am so excited.
Great news! I am glad your daughter's teachers recognize her strengths and talents and are are supportive

Sounds like she is doing great!
