No new details really. . . Just trying to keep it a secret from the boys! It is so hard!! I want to share my excitement with them!! I just have to keep telling myself that it will all be worth it on Christmas morning! :santa:

Hi Everyone: Hope you are all having a great day!

Mari - Cute pic of your daughter and the baby.

KB - When are you coming down to DLR? Sounds like you have been working too hard.

RF - Glad to hear that you are doing well with WW. Keep up the good work.

NC - Why are you mowing the lawn??? That is a kid's job! (Unless you have one of those John Deere tractor mowers.)

Shelly - I think you can make it until Christmas for the big surprise. It will be well worth the wait!

Last night we got to see the movie, Finding Kraftland. It is about the life of Richard Kraft, his son and family and his collection of stuff and how it has impacted his life. Richard has a lot of interesting Disney stuff such as the sea serpent from the submarine voyage ride and the sign, a Peoplemover car, a Doombuggie, a ticket booth, a keel boat, a Mr. Toad car, a Matterhorn bobsled and the infamous Dumbo ride vehicle which he paid $35,000 at a auction as well as other Disney and non-Disney 50s, 60s, and 70s items. The movie isn't really for kids, there are some adult situations and language.

After the movie was over, Richard took questions from audience and we spent about 45 minutes asking questions and sharing our memories of Disneyland and WDW and making family memories.

The film started at 9:30 pm so we had sometime to go into DL and have dinner. We ate at the Plaza Inn and had pot roast with mashed potatoes and gravy, veggies and salad. The potatoes were really good and salad was excellent too.

Got a couple of rides on Buzz and hit a new high score, over 1.5 million and ranked #3! I was stoked! - Seacrest

Morning all....

Shelly - It will be so worth it if you keep it a secret from the kids.... they are going to be so excited. I know a family that isn't telling thier son until they land in MCO... well not even then.... they will let him guess... i wish i could be there to see his excitement....

Sea - WOW you are getting better and better and the buzz game.... I wish i had as many Dis stuff as Richard Kraftland....

NC - Why are you mowing the lawn??? That is a kid's job! (Unless you have one of those John Deere tractor mowers.)

You are so right. It is a kids job. But DS started school this week so I thought I would have mercy on him and mow for him. I only got the front done.

He was so appreciative when we came around the corner after football yesterday. He thought I was the best mom ever.

Hi all! TGIF!!! Last night we had a parent/student orientation at Chris' new school in the valley. Thankfully, it was only a hour. We have been out every night this week so far. We are staying home tonight!

About 11:00 p.m. last night we had a amazing lightning storm that lasted for about 2 hours, but no rain. It was quite humid yesterday in the late afternoon after we had short rain (less than 5 minutes). Weird weather.

Hi Sea! That whole staying home thing sounds great to me. With Back-to-School this week, I am tired!

Took the kids to see the new animated Star Wars The Clone Wars movie yesterday!! They were in their glory, the LOVED it!! :darth: :ewok: :chewy: :yoda: It made me think of Star Tours. . . and the Jedi Training Academy. . . and DHS. . . and WDW. . . IT'S GOING TO BE A LONG 5 MONTHS!!!

I can't believe we were just there 3 months ago. It seems like it's been forever!!

I am so glad they liked the movie. When my DS was younger he was such a Star Wars nut. I am so sad, he hasn't even mentioned wanting to see this movie. I guess my baby is growing up.

I am so glad your boys liked it.

Morning all.......

How was everyone's weekend? I'm EXHAUSTED i had 2 birthday this weekend. I feel like I need a day off now. Running about after my DD. Maybe i should take her to partied more often that way i really will lose some weight.

Morning Mari! That birthday party scene can be exhausting. It can also cause headaches. :headache: :rotfl: Birthday parites with little ones are very busy.

We had a great weekend, but very tiring. We moved the foosball table upstairs to the playroom and out of the dining room. We had to take all the bars out and all the men off of it. That was no easy feat. :headache: But I now have an empty dining room. :goodvibes

Saturday, we went to Magic Springs which is an amusement park/water park about an hour from here. Let me tell you, it's NO Disney World. :sad2: It just made me miss Disney World so much. :sad1: We did have fun though.

I came home from the gym this morning to be flagged down by my sweet neighbor Norman. He was mowing his lawn and wanted to tell me our sprinkler system is leaking. He helped me check the water meter for the system and it just ticking away. Money down the drain. :sad1: I called the sprinlker guys and should be here within the hour. We'll see about that one. :rolleyes1

Have a great day Mayers! I 'll check in a little later.

What did everyone do this weekend?

Jo - Where are ya?

Katiebell - How are ya? How much longer till your trip? Please post. I want to see your ticker.

Sea - Did you go to DL this weekend? Did school start for you guys today?

Shelly - Please visit us. I know you are busy with your snow birds. We miss you!

RF - Have you started packing? What's new in newlywed land?

Sulley - Wherever you are, we are all insanely jealous that you get to be in WDW everyday.

Hope to hear from you guys soon. I am just sitting around watching my water meter tick. :magnify:

Morning Mari & NC! :goodvibes

Not too much going on here. Busy weekend. Great weather.

The kids got their teacher assignments in the mail Saturday. Open House is next week. School starts in 2 weeks. I am really dreading DS6 going all day. :sad2:

Sorry about your sprinkler leak NC. That stinks! Hope they get there soon!

Where has everyone been? Has JO gotten all moved in??? How long until Katie's trip??? Sulley??? Where the heck are you??? We know you are busy at WDW, but please check in soon. Will you still be there in January?

Have a great day MAYers! :goodvibes

Do they like their teachers? Are please with their placements?

We have an "Open House" tonight for Elementary. We meet the teachers and they tell us their expectations for the year, sign-up for field trips, etc.

Tomorrow night is Middle School. This will make for a busy week.

We don't really know anything about their teachers. I have seen them when I am at the school volunteering, but don't really know them. I need to call my friends on the PTO and get the scoop! I'm sure DS6 will be fine, he's a kind of go-with-the-flow kind of guy! :rotfl: DS9 really needs placed with an experienced teacher who offers extra encouragement. We haven't been disappointed in any teachers since we moved here, so hopefully this year will be no different! :wizard:

Hey everyone!!! Sounds like a busy week of back to school business :teacher:

I have some pretty good news :yay: I just had my 6 month review (2 months late - lol :lmao: ) with my boss and my "big" boss and they both said that since I have been doing such a great job so far that they want to give me a promotion! YAAAY!!! It's a small one - only one step above what I am doing now, but from what I understand they never offer this position until you have been with the company for at least a year. This could not have come at a better time. :yay: We are still going to move in with my parents, but this just means that we will be able to save that much more!!!

Good luck with all of the school business ladies! Vacation's officially over :beach:
