HEA without watching starlight?

We love being somewhere around the hub to enjoy the Happily Ever After fireworks and castle projections.

This will be our first time at Disney when it’s sandwiched by the parades.

Is there any way to be around the hub for HEA without dropping anchor long before the parade starts? We’re happy hitting the 11pm parade or skipping it all together but are worried that no one will clear out following the first Starlight.

Any wisdom/experience is much appreciated!

We watched the 9 pm parade followed by the fireworks just a couple of weeks ago. We didn’t watch the parade from the hub but moved there about 15 minutes before the fireworks started.

What we found is that many of the guests watching the parade from the hub had moved up Main Street to be as close to the exit has possible. This left a lot of space available right in front of the castle.

We stood close to the main speaker bank but could have moved even closer if we had wanted to. Our goal was to be near the bridge to Frontierland so that we could head back into the park for a couple more rides while almost everyone else was leaving.

Sounds like scooting up towards the front of the hub may be possible post-parade. Will let folks know how things turned out!

Good luck— we approached the hub about 5m after fireworks started and it was really packed, so I definitely don’t recommend that strategy— I’d be prepared to move in quickly after the parade passes!

We were wondering about this same thing, OP. DH and I aren't fans of the new night parade and would just want to see HEA before heading back to attractions after, but don't want to deal with being trampled for a place to stand nor would we want to be crowded in.
