Hi Everyone! I don't know if you all remember me....I was a Mayer once!

Just wanted to report that we're headed back to the World in June 09. I couldn't resist the new promo, and DH said go for it. Best news is that because we've decided to drive, we're staying at the Wilderness Lodge!! Woohoo!! We've never stayed deluxe before, and I am super excited. It will be a surprise trip for my boys, if I can hang on that long. And, we're checking in on my birthday, so I am able to take advantage of the birthday promo too!

Ooooh Shelly! we ate at BRG!!!! This trip!
I haven't gotten to that day yet- I deleted all of my pics on my TR b/c the last poster seemed very...strange. Something in that post raised the hackles on the back of my neck. So I am having a hard time starting the rest of my TR.

Anyway- we ate there on our Tuesday. It was freezing and that was the day we were all miserable. Mark's work went insane and the whole day was ruined. We were supposed to see Fantasmic that night and eat at 50's but all I wanted to do was go to sleep. So we went to Epcot for a couple of hours while he worked a bit on his blackberry and then hopped the boat to the Boardwalk. We had gone to guest relations in DHS to see if there were any openings anywhere in Epcot but there weren't. The CM told me that BRG doesn't take ressies but that there's never a long wait.

She was right.

We got there right at five and there were plenty of seats. I'd go back there. It is good food. I had the salmon dinner- with mashed potatoes and fresh sugar snap peas. It was good! Mark had the Mahi sandwich and he really liked it. The kids... um, oh dang what did they eat??????? Post a menu and I"ll tell you what they had ( if you have one)!

It was very easy to get over there and so for sure, we'd plan on going back again, esp if we were going to be at the boardwalk for the evening.

Never been to B&C though.

Hey Marcy! I remember you!! Congrats on your trip!! We are going in January (10 weeks from today! ) so we were able to save $542 on the trip plus will get the $200 gift card!!! And the trip is a secret from the boys. They will find out on Christmas morning that we are going to Disney in just 26 days!! I will never do this secret thing again though, it's just TOO HARD!

We are all still here chatting nearly everyday a little bit. Well, not all of us, but about 6-7 of us!

I'm heading back in in Jan of 08 and May of 08 (may will be a mommy and daughter week) thanks to the promo....

I just got a code from disney for a $500.00 gift card. I called to see if I could apply it to my reservation and they said that using it instead of the 4/3 code would make my total go up....

I don't get it because I only saved $420 with the other code. I don't know - I think I may try and call back later and talk to someone else. Does that make sense to anyone?

I have intentionally stayed away all morning,

Anyway- yeah, um it was weird and I didn't like it one bit.

So let's see...
RF- call back. You always get different answers from different CM's. So what I like to do is keep calling until someone agrees with what I want.

Mari--- you know what? If you want to go to LeCellier, go ahead and book it. You can always cancel that day if you need to and-- that meal will only be for an hour or so- I think your DD would be fine there. As a matter of fact, the CM's that work there have always fallen all over themselves for my kids- making a fuss over them, bringing them special things- (especially Belle- that girl has a way of making people go out of thir way to please her- don't know why- ) anyway- I think your DD would love the attention she'd get. Just tell them to bring her dessert early.

Marcy- it's so good to hear from you! Of course we remember you- another PA gal! Hope your trip turns out great. Please come back to chat with us often.

Shelly- thanks for the menu for BRG---okay I remember the kids sharing something that night...........um....oh yeah! The chicken Marinara!! They thought it was good! So I know that totally doesn't help you with the kids menu, sorry. But now I do remember that we had the chips and guacamole appy and thought it was good. Dh did have the Blackened Mahi- and like I said, I had the Salmon- it was very good too. I think you'd like it. It's definitely NOT fancy- they are brewing beer there- so the front part is set up like a pub- sort of but not really. I know, I'm really not helping now, LOL. They have the tall pub tables with stools up front but you can ask to be seated at a regular table and they have window tables that overlook the boardwalk. It's fun. Like I said I would go back there. Don't let the no ADR thing scare you. If you get there at a good time you probably won't wait but a few minutes.


All right- I am going to attempt to work on my TR. I hope that the crazy's have all left.

OK, so I guess I didn't see the right wierdo in your TR Jo LOL - I thought that you were talking about something else. The one that I saw was still there! And it's not that bad - just a comment on how good looking your kids are. Not super wierd, just that I could see how that would make you want to delete their pics! People are creepy and you can never really tell who's being nice and who's being a creeper.

For all of you POP lovers - apparently there are some changes on the horizon for POP.

Speaking of POP, did any of you POP lovers see this page on the Legendary Years thread?

Apparently, Disney feels that POP's theme was a failure and plan to change it over to an Animation Theme, and build suites in the Legendary Years side. Apparently the occupancy rate doesn't equal the All-Stars rate, because only a certain age person thinks the pop culture themes are cool. Kids don't get most of the references, is what they think.

I think that sounds cool - Disney animation theming, so it would be like All-Star Movies, but even MORE. Plus more family suites. I know there are a lot of people who love POP who will be disappointed in this.
