I am so jealous of everyone making flubber. Did you do that with the kids club??? My son wasn't even there for that...can't remember what we were doing.

Yes it was in the Oceanears club and it was at Midnight. We saw it in the navigator

Right...it was in the navigator but I think many people didn't realize it because there weren't nearly as many people as I expected there to be. I think lots of people saw the words "Oceaneers Lab" and assumed that meant it was for the kids! :)

Part of the problem was the time - MIDNIGHT - we saw it but opted not to stay up that late, and we had done it on the PC repo. It was alot of fun then.

Good work...

:cool1: I finally get to see the Banner unfurled. :cool1:

Kinda sad that I had to leave it on the ship.. Too much baggage

Richard, don't kill me, but

POST BANNER/CRUISE PARTY AT KISSIMMEE'S HOUSE!!!!

I'd do it, but I don't have a pool or a gazillion acres to host a party.
I suppose I could bring out the baby pool and we could stick our feet in it..;)

Really, all the locals need to get back together. Richard, Let's plan it before we forget everybody's names:thumbsup2

Jennifer

Who are you? I don't recall that name..... :rotfl2:

So... Before or after the 4th of July?

Hi All

I need help from somebody. I having been plugging away on my trip report, but now I have discovered that the envelope containing all of my navigators is missing two of them:eek: I do not have May 14 or 15. Does anyone have these and can email me a scanned copy? PM me and I will send you my email address. Or esle answer these questions:

I can reconstrcut some of May 14 as we had brunch at Palos and delivered kids' goft with Anita which took up pretty much all of the a.m. between the two. And that night was formal night meaning Golden Mickey's was the show. But, was High School Musical Karoke that day? If so when? Also, what was the menu (should be on the upper right hand corner of the front cover)? What was the event in Rockin' Bar D that evening?
The 15th is harder for me to reconstruct. I know we went to Ducky's talk and the Belle's princess party. We dined in Palo that night and missed the Farewell to the Caribean dinner menu. But, what was the show??? Was their any family karoke that day? Pictionary? HSM events? And what was in Rockin' Bar D after dinner/shows?
THANK YOU in advance--I know one of you will come to my rescue.

Kelly--thanks for posting the banner shots. I cannot believe how small it looks on that great big ship. I do not know how to get the photos smaller either:confused3 I also wanted to ask you about your tiny closet on the med cruise. The reason we were so upset about having a cat 11 (orginally) on this crusie was that the closet on the 11 we had in Septemebr was so terrible. The clothes went front to back (one item in front of the otehr) and you could hardly fit anything in it. We were surprised as we did not remember that from our other cat 11, but figureed our memeories were just not that good (only other time was in 1999--only a 4 day trip--so less luggage--and with little bitty kids). Then, on this cruise we looked at the closets of Hank and Jan's friends who had cat 11s and theirs were just like the other categories. So, I am wondering, was this the same type of tiny closet you had? If so, did you find out which rooms have this (I will be sure to NEVER book such a room if I know--this info is NOT in the passporter!).

Anna--I got my eyes and ears today. That is so wonderul. Thank you very, very, very much.

Sandi--I'm sorry you did not get all of your belongings back. Maybe they will still show up later on? On our 2000 cruise, David opened the saf eto satsh our passports and found over $2000 in cash left behind:eek: We got it straight to guest services and watched as they got it off the ship before we left port. I really hope ALL of that made it back to its owner. I hope things are getting better for you. Is Abby out of school for hte summer yet (school ended here on Friday)?

Scott--we are wating for the photo of the new 'do.

Also we called DISHnetwork and cancelled our TV yesterday (we still have DVDs and Netflix). Stay tuned to see how long our resolve lasts.

Hadley, yes, it was that type of closet with front to back clothes hangings. A sideways hanger was about 2 inches too short to even fit in the closet with dead space (about 3 inches on either side of the clothes. They could put small knob type hooks inside the closet to hang hats, purses, bags etc. That would be a better use of space. The luggage wouldn't fit either, so we laid it on its side lengthwise. It was the weirdest thing I'd ever seen. I don't know which rooms have that closet, so I'll start a thread and ask that question.. I'll bet we find the answer out on the dis. Mine was 7563.

That was exactly what we had. I don't know what room # we had--but I may be able to find it. Yuck; it was useless.

New thread - From the Med to the Panama Canal

Hi everyone,
There were many of us on the Transatlantic & the first 11 night cruises that are going on the Westbound Panama Canal cruise next year. Some of us were lucky to get to know each other at a luncheon. This thread is so that we can help each other plan and get to know each other better. New friends are welcome too and we already know many of the East bounders as well from the transatlantic! We know there are plenty of people out there, who were on the Med cruises throughout the summer, so do join us. There is currently a nice thread for this cruise, but it took off while we were still frantically planning for this year’s cruise. It has become very large, so many of us felt lost on it. This is an opportunity for continuing relationships and making new ones with people who have past special cruises in common. Again, all new friends are welcome; I don’t want this to sound like an exclusive club!!! Past PC’rs are very welcome to help us do our planning – we’d appreciate your input.

We have less than a year to go for this fun cruise, but this one seems less daunting than the Med. It seems that it will be a lot less packing (since it will be warm weather all the way), a lot less excursion planning, a lot more relaxing! I know my family is looking forward to an easier cruise (although we loved every single minute of the repo and Med.)

There are lots of us from the west coast on this next cruise, so we can plan several meets at Disneyland. I think there are several from the Orlando area as well, so they can also plan meets at WDW. Hop on and let’s start planning.

Kelly

PS: we’ll be in Castaway Cay for Mother’s Day again.

PSS: Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” - Walt Disney

Did the people who took the banner photo mention if they could read it from the shore? Just curious if it needs to be bigger to be legible for the next cruise.

Yes, they said it was clear as a bell. They could even pick out details on people on the ship.

That was such a fun day, sail away day. It actually brought a tear to my eye. I remember being so excited about crossing the ocean. We were further to the left with my two year old asleep in his life jacket. What a nice memory. I don't think any other cruise will be able to top that sail away feeling for me.

Thanks Kelly! Maybe this one will be a little slower so I can keep up! :lmao:

Anna - I received the Eyes and Ears. Thanks so much. My husband was so impressed that someone would be so nice to mail that to me. I told him he might get to meet you when you came out to DL. I don't remember when your plans were though.

Richard- I say let's plan the party for after July 4th, that way we can give people a lot of notice so everyone will attend.

Kelly- Thanks for the photos of the banner. I can't believe how small it looks!!!

I know Karen has every navigator from both cruises. If they ever decide to post I'm sure she can get you a copy.

Kelly, you know you have to come to Florida this December. Sophia talks non-stop about "Zoe coming to Orlando, and how Zoe is going to spend the night, and how Zoe is going to swim in the pool, and how Zoe...."etc :goodvibes :rotfl:

That's funny, Zoe has been doing the same. She goes through a list of all the kids and what are they doing right now (usually at bedtime.)

I loved the pic of Lena at the Eiffel Tower. We kept wondering if you made it out that day. Has Rachid made it back? How is he?
