And here is just a random picture of my parents....we had over 70 photopass pictures taken and put on our CD....and this is probably my favorite picture of the whole collection...because it really captures "Disney Magic" for me and the fact that my parents were re-experiencing Disney for the first time in nearly 25 years:goodvibes :goodvibes . I know that only Kelly and her family got to actually meet my parents....but I just think this picture is beautiful and hope that all of you will be able appreciate it:

Great picture Erik. That really is special.

Hi All,
Erik--I love your photos and has already been said your parents look great. That shot with tinkerbell is priceless. I also liek hte new photo in your signature.

Scott--WHAT GIVES WITH THE HAIR?!?

Debbie, etc.--I am one of those lucky people who never gets motion sickness. I gotta say, for me it was so much fun to feel all that rockin' and KNOW I was really out to sea.

We had an absolutely wonderful time! The ship was much bigger than the Mag8c. Our room was HUGE! I guess because there were 3 of us in one room, we had a suite, and since we needed handicapped accessible, it was about double the size of a regular suite. It had a huge king bed and a couch that became a single bed. Chuck usually sleeps in the extra bed when we travel, but he thought the bed was too hard, I thought it was just right!

The ship had 3 pools, and lots more entertainment, but part of that is because it was a bigger ship. Pat loved the jazz band and the couple who played in one of the nightclubs. They had a great rock band and a piano bar. There was a guy playing guitar and singing near the bar by the casino. Also a late night nightclub with a DJ and more modern rock music, but we never stayed up late enough to go there!

I liked the casino....I won $500 at the slot tournament! I kind of liked having the casino to go to. I miss that on the Disney ship.

The stage shows were wonderful! Great talent. We didn't go to the magician, but the others were great.

We enjoyed the food, but we like the Disney food better. Our food often came "warm" not hot. The cold fruit soups are a favortie of ours on DCL, but the ones on Carnival were bland and thin.......no comparison! Our servers were ok, especially our assistant server. As you know, we were a group of 35, and our very good friends were sitting at the table next to us ( wer were a group of 8 at each table). We thought the server was snotty and not friendly, whereas our friends at the other table had the same servers and they thought she was the best one they ever had! That just goes to show that each person sees the service different.

One thing that amazed me was that when we were going by the Stromboli volcano ( a special detour to see it because it was "acting up"), we planned a wine party in our room so everyone could see it together. I phoned room service and asked for 12 red wine glasses, 12 white wine glasses, 12 on the rocks glasses and 12 champagne glasses as well as crackers and cheese. They brought 2 plates of cheese, a big basket of crackers, 2 big buckets of ice, and ALL the glasses I asked for. No problem at all! NO THAT WAS IMPRESSIVE!

I have talked to some of my friends who went on the Magic Med cruise, and we went to many of the same ports of call. They sounded about the same. WE actually saw several Disney tour groups in Monaco/Monte Carlo! That waas fun!

I would go on either one again.

But I will say because of Patrick we would go on Disney, not Carnival. He has more fun with the characters, and the shows are more to his liking, and there was plenty of entertainment for him on the Disney ship. Our main enjoyment is when he is enjoying himself. If it was just Chuck and I, as adults, I would like to try other cruise lines to compare.

Actually, as long as I am travelling, I am happy! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Hello, I haven't been on for a couple of days so I am trying to catch up and hope I don't miss anything. Scott, I cannot believe you cut your hair, Eric, loved the pictures of your family. The pixie dust is priceless and after hearing about the chair and what you did, I am glad you posted it. Connie, glad to hear that you got back safely and everyone enjoyed themselves. I enjoyed seeing Patrick every day and it made my day seeing the characters with him and seeing him excited about the music. Hopefully we will see you again at Saratoga. In regards to purses, I am embarassed to say, if my purse doesn't have a Disney character on it, I don't carry it. I get tons of compliments about my purses but that is the extent of my collection. We have had so many changes in our lives in the last 3 weeks and some have been tough, so Deb, keep posting those pictures it always brings a smile to our face. Also what brings a smile to our face is Jerry sent us an e-mail saying when we visit Orlando he knows a few places that have Trivia games while you eat and he would love to meet us!!! I don't know if there are medals, but we are all over that. When you have had a rough day at work and we come home to all our friends, it makes a total difference and we, as a family, thank you all!!!

How sweet of you to post! I am sorry things aren't going so well at home, but it IS hard to come back to real life. We are tryiing to make some serious decisions about Patrick right now, so I understand how real life can intrude! Connie

Boy a month ago today was a busy day!!! It was scrapbooking day! It was also "On the Nose" and the Half Way There Party.... both our own, and the ships LOL (They really do not have an orginal thought do they :rotfl: )

Great Pics Deb! Thanks for getting a good one of our son Michael, we didn't see him much on the cruise, except for dinner! Connie

Happy Father's Day all!
You doggie daddies too. :dogdance:

Nice morning here. 73 and a bit humid already, but it is nice.:surfweb:
Thought I'd sleep in, but puppy bellies have their own schedule.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Did I read this right??? you Cut your hair??

Or am I read it wrong :rolleyes1

Debbie

Nope all cut off, the walmart shop sent it off for a donation. I do this about every year or so, less hair cuts$$$ more $$$ for DCL , DVC etc...:rotfl:

Ah Scott you are an inspiration....
"Our lives change like the weather
But a legend never dies"

I think that I may give that a try. After October. Could possibly have a "tail" by the 5 nighter next year.

Hello! I just wanted to say how great it was to meet all of you! I also wanted to send out a HUGE thank you to everyone for all of the information and advice you gave me. Now I know that I was nicknamed "the ringer" but I swear this was my first cruise! I had no idea what I was doing. We had an incredible vacation and there is no way it would have been half as good if I did not recieve all of the help from all of you guys!

Things have been so crazy since we returned! Our two daughters birthdays were a few days ago and what better place to spend it then at Disneyland. Lilo & Stitch breakfast, Goofy's Kitchen, Disneyland Hotel, winning Dream Fast Passes, it was a great 4 days!

Brooklyn (DD 5) signed a contract with FORD models before we left on the cruise. The week after we got home she went on her first audition and we found out on Friday that she booked the job. We are very proud of her. This lifestlye intails lots of driving to LA but as long as she wants to do it then I guess I need to keep making the drive. :)

Again, thank you to everyone and I look forward to seeing you on a Disney cruise in the future.

Well we have been going nuts every since we got home and this is the first time I have had to write.. sorry... tom is president of the HOA and he had a stack of problems waiting for him, so we have been working thru them.

Just saw the picturers and thank you to all who got them posted. I don't know how to do this so ours will be on my album.

We enjoyed our trip so much, it was nice just walking around and seeing everyone having such a good time. We will be leaving for our next cruise to Alaska in august we did book thru DVC and they partner with Holland America,so I am really anxious to see how they match up. Will keep everyone posted after we get back from this one.

Will be reading all you comments and enjoying everyones notes.. we miss our magic already.
