Thanks! I can't tell you how excited he was. The gold insures that he gets to go to the state competition, funny enough, the weekend after we get back. There's a dance at the end of the events on Saturday night that he is looking forward to!

WHen we lived in Jackson, WY, on a couple of occssions I had the pleasure of presenting the medals at the Winter Special Olympics, I was very moved, yes to tears at times, at the participants drive, spirt, and hearts,those are some pretty special kids.

Lori--Please pass along congratulations to your son from me as well. I remembered someone had discussed this last night, but couldn't remember who and had not gone back and check yet (keeping up and posting between hanging out sheets, vacuuming, etc.). That is a great accomplishment and I bet he is really proud of himself.

Thanks for the info. on the nails. The place where I get my hair cut (reasonable on hair I think--$25) wants $25 for manicure and $45 for pedicure which seemed high, but I haven't had it doen in about 4 years so I wasn't sure. Now I will try calling around. I can't thinkl of any one I know who gets theirs done on a regular basis. If I could get them both for $40 I would totally do it.

Up until resently I've been able to pay $10 for nails and $20 for pedicure, but prices have gone up. I think it's $12 and $25 now. Hmm. Might need to tip a bit more than $3. A $5 tip is good unless the were spectaculer! (I think there's a spelling error there!) I think $25 is good for hair cuts.

It is so much work and I want you to know how much we appreciate it. It makes the trip that much more special. Yep, and cat's 9 & 10 & 12 are on gty status. I tried to move my cat 11 a few days ago.

Greetings from the World! Just a few more days til everyone gets here and we can get this cruise going! WOO HOO!!

My parents arrived safely and, surprisingly enough, on time yesterday. We were able to eat at Boma last night (YUM!!) and then get over to MK in time for SpectroMagic Parade and the Wishes fireworks show.....my parents loved it...and my mother loved the wheelchair seat cover that I made her and it fits the park wheelchairs perfectly.....today is our first day using hte chair in a park on attractions, etc. and we're a bit nervous about it but we'll see how it goes!

Today is Animal Kingdom and Epcot!!

Nails--I have been thinking on splurging and getting my nails done Thursday. Now so many of you have mentioned doing just that. Talk me into it please

I only do toes. I've had mine done for lotsa $ and not so much $. Honestly doesn't seem to look any different to me. The big difference is how long it lasts. When I go to the little place around the corner, I usually have chips in short order. When I have gone to the fancy spa place, I can go multiple weeks without a chip. On the other hand (or foot, I suppose ), for the price difference, I can get 3 pedicures done for the price of 1 spa pedicure.

I told DD13 if she would leave her toenails alone (she rips them) we'd get a pedicure for the trip. We will have "special" toes for the trip

You should definitely be able to do it for $40 at one of the "nail salon" mall or strip mall type places. They are everywhere in Ca, but maybe not so much in NH ?

Kewl Adreienne is going , welcome aboard.... hope your arm is outta the sling after Linda put the twist on ya, Bummer Tony can't make it...

Scott - she is so excited to be going. Still no scuba card - that is supposed to be next month, but she will enjoy snorkling at least. I am a bummed that I can't join you all, but I am thrilled that Adrienne will be able to.

Her arm is a bit bruised, but thankfully, it should be fully healed by the time she arrives in Orlando. It wasn't just Linda - Ken, Shari, and of course, her husband all had a part. But as we all know - when Linda sets her mind to something, it will happen.

She probably won't check in online. With only a week to book the cruise, book air travel, do laundry, pack, get the store ready to leave with the staff for two weeks, I don't think she will have much time for sleeping - at least not until Friday night when she gets on the plane.

Heck - we had to track down our travel agent. He was sitting on a cruise ship in San Diego, waiting to sail on a repo cruise to Vancouver. He was somehow able to book it all in only 30 minutes.

Me - I get to sit back and watch the fun!

Wierd about the cat 11s. I was JUST on and it still showed availablilty on all cats and NO gtys (not even for 12). Maybe they are getting the shoe boxes mixed up again. Would be amusing to track over the course of the day and see how often it cahnges
