I have yet another question..I have been reading about people taking gifts for the cruise staff. Could I get a bit more information? Who do you take gifts for, what kind of gifts, and when do you hand them out?

Also, I will ask again..what is a good time to show up? Scott can be number one since he will be there at 6 am. :worship: What time would I need to show up to be in the next 10 people catagory?

Thursday 4/12/07: precruise meet at the Offkilter stage: time???

Ok! :upsidedow

Right now their shows are 2:30, 3:30, 5:30, 6:30 & 7:30 but in May it does change a bit because of the Flower Power shows. Pick a time and I will be there :rotfl2: I sit on the left side facing the stage (Randy's side) and don't move much :) After April 5 we can pick the time (that is when the flower power shows start).

I sure wish I could do the Avalon Park show on St Patricks day. They played there a couple of years ago and I happened to be in the area so I had to go! It was a small park but nice. The big problem for that show was the night before was a huge storm and the sound equipment they were supposed to use was ruined. So they had to find another vendor in a matter of hours. So the sound was a bit "rough'. :scared1: :rotfl:

We won't admit how many Off Kilter shows I have seen :rolleyes1

Ah Yes the Grass Skirt Story,

Well it all started years ago when Bob, (of Bob and Lee), and I went to different High Schools together. I think it was before the 1st PC cruise we got to talking about sail away and tropical night, one of us suggested we wear grass skirts, both being sensitive guys of the new millennium. First to the sail away and also on tropical night, Bob and I did for the sail away and more joined in on Tropical night, from there it has grown, with our line of designer shirts and other items, a membership card for those guys who show up in a grass skirt. Heck Hollywood, even recognized us at sail away and other events, so to this day the membership grows, guys show up in your grass skirt join in on the fun of it all….

Both for sail away and Tropical night, Bob correct me if I am wrong or missed something.

For you guys who are not members wear you grass skirt, we have the photos to prove we actually do this, and we can get you a membership card.

Oh did I mention that Bob and I are Parrot Heads, maybe that was the root cause of this event….

We get there between 10 and 10:30 and we were on the ship by 12. There are things to do in the terminal but it still can be a wait with little ones and not enough seats for everybody. If I remember right there is a tv area and there are characters out around the model of the ship. We are planning on arriving around the same time this year.

elderfan - about a month before the cruise some lucky people will get an upgrade,so if this happens and you like your upgrade then you do not need to be there with Scott at 6.

Have any of you kidless grown-ups always wanted to be in Mickey Mania (or other game show requireing a kid)? I have an 8 year old boy you can "borrow" if you want to. Rio LOVES Mickey Mania (any chance to be on a stage really) and has gotten to do it twice (once with Mommy, once with Daddy). We hate to do it again and take away someone else's chance to have fun, but we also hate to tell him he can't try to be picked as it is so fun for him. So, we figure we can compromise and let him try again if it allows a kid a heart the chance to try.

We may join in a scuffle over him!!! :)

We have hit major pixie dust before on a 7-night Western where we went from an 11 to a 6 at the port for a price that made us giddy with happiness, although I do not remember the exact number at this point. Other cruises that were really full had upgrades that were either mega expensive or unavailable. If the ship is indeed relatively empty, it is in DCL's interest to offer upgrades at the magic point where we all say gosh, let's do it, so they get more revenue if they can't fill all the cabins. As far as where we will all land without trying to do a paid upgrade, the more special gty 12s they sell, the more they have to move people up and out to make room! We'll be thrilled no matter where we are, but of course it would be so much fun to upgrade too. But the way our luck often runs, we may be there at 6 too.... What time do people really start showing up? :coffee:

Two other things... Ken, just wondering how many cabins and people we are at now! (we are bringing a little something).

Finally, a trip to WDW is not complete without Dumbo. My dh even lets me drive. Now that's love!

There are 48 cabins as of right now!

97 Adults
28 Children

But we seem to be growing and a few folks that need to be confirmed!

And there are alot of photos missing. If you are interested in showing your face before the cruise just e-mail me at maymedrepo@wideopenwest.com

I am not sure.. but you may need to unsubscribe and resubscribe to make it work. I never use it, I just click on User CP and see all of my subscribed threads. :surfweb: Once I accidentally clicked e-mail notification and my e-mail box exploded! Never did that again :rotfl:

I accidently lost all the threads when I did that last...not again - Kelly had to find me then I got back on thread...I missed a LOT during that month or so...

 The children's group is up and running! My kids have all done a bio with pictures. They were so excited to do this! Not that we have a lot of kids on this cruise, but it is still so much fun for them to meet each other. It is always fun to travel with friends!!

If you sent me a pm and didn't get your invite please let me know. I will send you out a new one.

We don't seen to have a lot of children on our cruise. We were on the Panama Canal Cruise in May 2005. There were not alot of children on that cruise either. It made it really nice! The cast members knew the kids by name and knew the parents, too!

I guess I better go off to bed! Good night everyone!
