bonus question. does anybody know where I can get a .wav or other sound file of the "when you wish upon a star" horn from the ship.
and
does the onboard store sell models of the ship?!
finally getting sleepy...

If you can get your hands on the CD from DCL the .wav file is on it.

Yes there are models of the ship for sale as well as other ship specific items, and most likely cruise specific items as well.

The horns may be findable on the DCL website - you could also try a google search for it.

I have it on the disk - quality is fair, but definately recognizable :thumbsup2

Anyone considering driving between Barcelona to Paris?
See below for an incredible photograph:scared1:

"The Millau viaduct is part of the new E11 expressway connecting Paris and Barcelona and features the highest bridge piers ever constructed. The tallest is 240 meters (787 feet) high and the overall height will be an impressive 336 meters (1102 feet), making this the highest bridge in the world. "

[I can't post the link, so do a Google/image search on Millau Viaduct Bridge]

Good morning everyone!!:hippie:

Not alot of action this morning. I have to post so we don't fall of the first page!!

Does everyone know what they will be doing before and after the cruise??
I would love to able to stay longer, before and after the cruise. But, DH can't take anymore time off work. They don't seem to understand that five vacation weeks a year, is just not enough time to fit in all our disney addictions:lmao:

We are going to the Nickelodeon Hotel fo a couple of days before and are staying an extra day in Barcelona after. Is anyone else staying at the Nick?

I'm spending another full day in Barcelona, then back to work. My workplace is suspicious of anyone taking more than 5 working days off!
Of course, they didn't understand my M*ear*y Christmas tree, either. :santa:

Kathy

One day in Orlando before and 5 days in Germany after.

We are flying down on the 11th and staying at the radisson @ cape canaveral. For our return, we are flying to London for a day then back to the DC area. Had I known about the b2b idea, we might have done that:sad2: Oh well, just have to talk DH into a REPO for 2008!

Jason and I are flying down on Friday, May 4th and staying at Pop Century until Sunday, May 6th when we move across the way and check into Animal Kingdom Lodge (on DVC points). My parents are joining us at the AK Lodge on Monday and we're all staying there until they go home on the 11th and then on the 12th we check out and head to the cruise. After the cruise we're flying back to Orlando and staying at Saratoga Springs (again on DVC points) Saturday and Sunday night and flying back home late in the evening on Memorial Day.

:tigger:

Thanks for the horn files, that's exactly what I was looking for!

Also,
by sheer luck I already had vacation time scheduled for early June,
so now, were on a mad dash to plan for the 2 weeks after the cruise.

We are coming in the night before and staying using points at the Marriott in Cape Canveral. Flying to Dublin afterwards and staying three nights, so we have Saturday afternoon/evening and two full days, and then we leave the following morning for the long flight home!

 Cupcake

Since we can almost walk to the port, of course we are going to drive in around 10am.
Then we do the 11 day Med. after the repo. After that, 1 night in Paris. I wanted to spend a couple days in Paris, but my whole theory of the Repo and the 11 day being the same price as my cat. 9 ten day Med. would be shot...;)

We will be getting into Florida around one on the 11th and staying at the Buena Vista Suites (Yikes--can't remember the last time we satyed off sight--or skipped a precruise week at the World for that matter--Jason and Erik we are ENVIOUS). Planning on enjoying wine and cheese at Old Key West :)

We do not fly home until the 28th. So we will have the weekend in Barcelona. I need to figure out where we are staying and book a hotel soon. My memories of Barcelona from when I was 16 are that is the best city and even three days will not be nearly enough.

I told this to DH who just :rolleyes2, but I think this is pretty cool...

We have to be on Cobra health insurance from March 1st until June 1st due to DH switching jobs. We are used to paying $147 a month for full coverage (he worked for the state). Now we are stuck paying over $900 a month for Cobra. Well, I just realized our travel insurance covers us from May 10th-June 6th, so I called the travel insurance company and confirmed that we would be fine without Cobra for that time because we are insured through them. We have really high medical and emergency policies and visits to the infirmary are covered. We will just have to go into hiding from May 1st-9th since we won't be covered by any insurance for those few days.

I just saved DH $900 by us going on this cruise!!!!
How cool is that!!!!:cool1: :cool1:
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi Guys,

BCN - CDG (Paris) $170 r/t (drop the return)

We're going 5/7 to the All Star resort. Then Paris for 3 days after the B2B. Then home to rest!!!!

Off Kilter Stage - I'll be there! Can't miss this great band.

Think I'll sneak a grass skirt into the suitcase for DH.

I'd like to know where we can log on while at WDW? Can I drag the laptop around to anywhere special to check email and Scott's posting?

Hey guys Im sorry if this has already been talked about here but with 180+ pages ,Im having a tough time getting caught up,
is anyone else looking at a train trip to Paris and maybe Disneyland Paris after Barcelona, and how much is the train or plane ticket running.
Also.

Im here at home up at 3:18 in the morning getting caught up.
can you tell Im exited.
here it is 2 months to go and already I cant sleep.

Rufustee

I was looking at taking the train to Paris also. It was around 200 dollars a person i think. I booked on EasyJet leaving Barcelona to Paris for 139 dollars for borh of us. We are staying in Paris for 4 days then going to DLP for 3 or 4 days. I havent booked a train to DLP yet or found any hotels in PAris. If anybody has suggestions, Ill take em. thanks

Hey Erik,
My little guy is rapidly becomming a fan of yours. What could be cooler than anoteh rguy who dances, dresses well and loves High School Musical? He is wants to know which one is who in the photo. Are you on the viewers left or right? PS I promise we will keep him from following you and Jason around all week!

On our seven day cruise we had dinner and Brunch at Palos once. On the crossing how many dinners and brunches are reasonable to expect? How many reservations can you make?

Is there a lobster night and how do I make sure I don't miss out by picking that night for Palos?
