If you click on that link, and look at the right side of the navigation bar, there is a little British flag. Click on it, and it will go to the English version. :cool1:

:wave:I had arthroscopy on my left knee yesterday just so I could hike and go on all hte excursions! (not really, the knee waas just a mess!)

Get well soon! My dh had that done a few years ago and his knee is as good as new now (notwithstanding a major setback when he played sand volleyball several weeks post-op during a conference at WDW and ended up hobbling around on crutches... oops!). So stay away from volleyball on the sand!! :goodvibes You'll be very inspired to do all your PT so you can get in shape for the cruise!

Hi guys, I'm bringing 3 skirts (all in variations of blacks) that squish up and different blouses, sweaters and jewelry. So, I can make several different outfits. One pair of shoes (black.) Jonathan will bring one pair of shoes, jacket, shirt and black pants. Since we are doing 4 legs of this trip (WDW, B2B, Paris) it's too many clothes. Last year I was able to take a flowered hawaiian dress and dress it up with a black sweater and pearls, then wear the same for tropical night with shell jewelry. I'm trying not to buy much before the trip because we are planning so many excursions on our own for shopping and eating instead of DCL.

I'll be taking knee pain advil too!

A friend of mine has been playing Bunko with a group of friends for years and loves it. This may be a good time to learn how to play.

I was surprised to hear that the May PC repo 2008 was sold out. I'm guessing that it is a lot of double booking. What did you guys on the first PC repo do? Tell the whole world how much fun it was? May is supposed to be the quiet cruise! We were trying to add my dad to the cruise and couldn't get him on. And there is a huge wait list!!!

Is formal night the same as Captain's night? Last year we had 1 Captain's night and 1 formal night so we wore formals(not real formal, but long and dressy). This year is 1 formal and 2 semis - what will you ladies wear on the semi formal nights? We tend to have long outfits but not short dressy outfits. I guess what I am asking is do I need a shopping day to get the right attire? Thanks!

We are making a major effort to travel as lightly as we can, so for all of the dressier nights, I'm going with a selection of evening type sweaters (beaded, etc.) that I can mix with basic dressy skirts (black crepe, black velvet), plus one or two incarnations of the little black dress. My dh is not bringing his tux, but he will have a dark suit and good assortment of Disney ties (it sounds like he's not the only one with a collection of these!).

There's always a wide variety of levels of dressiness so I don't think there's one right answer, but then again, it's always fun to shop for something special for the cruise! I'm going to try my best to be restrained, which I'm sure my dh will appreciate from a luggage perspective given that we are making our own way to Dublin afterwards before coming home.

On our last few cruises there was lots of women dressed in little black dresses on Semi-formal night. That what I will probably be doing too, since I already have one. I think you can really wear anything you want. If you have something that will work go ahead and wear it.:)

Of course, if you are like me and love shop, it is a great excuse to do so.;)

We can start a list of those who are interested in playing Bunko. It can be couples ( we play Couples Bunko here at Hunter's Creek once a month) or it can be singles, just so we have enough to fill 3 tables of 4. More is good, too. So long as we have full tables. It works best.
The game is so easy! if you want to know more about it before we go, just google bunco or bunko ( it's spelled both ways)

I will have to do some real healing. Went to the dr. today for post op checkup and he said ABSOLUTELY NO weight bearing on the left knee for 6 weeks, I guess it was much more extensive than he expected! I sure hope I can hobble around the museums! No mention of PT yet! But I'm sure there will be some! But most of the pain is gone now, even when I do stand on it. So that's good.

I'll be wearing long "window washer" dressy blackpants with different tops. I am not sure if I fit into my little black dress anymore! :upsidedow Chuck refulses to wear a TUX so he'll have his nice dark suit. He looks great in it. Patrick is in a wheelchair so he'll be wearing nice black pants and his good black sweater with a shirt underneath. He alsways wears that for formal occasions! He looks great too! :mickeyjum :dancer: party:

Welcome newcomers!!! Tell us about yourself and travel parties.

This will be my 3rd DCL cruise, 2 in 2006, 1 in 2007. I will have to sit 2008 out!. The pattern is for me to book a cruise and tell my sister she can come, if she wants. So, then I end up with her and her partner in my cabin. This time, I get the bed not the couch!
I am an experienced cruiser, but I'm exclusively DCL since that first cruise.
So, I'm Kathy living in Vero Beach, FL and my roomies are Mary and Sandy from Narragansett, RI.
See you all on board.

Kathy---make sure that you send your sister and her partner's info to Ken (kpros) and to Deb (Epkotkilterfan) to make sure they get on the roster and on the lanyard list.....right now I only see your name on the roster and we don't want to leave anyone out of the fun!

There are a few people that we have not heard from in a while, and a couple that I am just not sure if they are going or not (Fast43 you were kinda up in the air)

It is going to be a great trip!

Our passports came today! The issue date is Valentine's Day which we thought was kind of cool.

I'm beginning to wonder what we can expect weather-wise and temp-wise. That will have a big effect on what I pack for this trip. I know what I'll wear for dinner so that's pretty much set. The rest of the packing could be a puzzle. :confused3

Scott - do you ever sleep?

Lynn will say No, I am adjusting from the time zone changes from our Trip to the Far Side of the World.

Usually 6 hours is about all I get,

Actually was awoken by the wind this morning 50 MPH at about 3:00 AM.

Just checked road reports and I-80 and I-25 are closed. Nice day to stay inside, actually the Malamutes don't want to go outside, really it is yuckie out there.

Hey does anyone know what page we had our list of favorite Disney mothers?

We're going to cheer in the cyclists for the tour of California in Long Beach tomorrow.

Welcome Kathy and room mates!

Laura,

I am so glad you have decided to join us!!

We will have to have a mini meet for all of us from the 2008 Panama Canal Cruise. Does anyone one know how many of us are doing both the May med repo and the 2008 Panama Canal?

ME!

I have a black dress. But I don't think the word "little" applies.

I am bringing my Grass Skirt.

I've got Robert's too. Gotta keep up his image. He had his official Grass Skirt Fraternity card in his wallet. Carries it with him everywhere he goes!

You must be getting the terrible wind and storm we had through Salt Lake yesterday. Got about 8 inches of snow at the house and it was miserable! Sun is shining today though. Our golden retriever, Sebastian, was willing to go outside with Robert this morning. Yesterday, he didn't even want to put a foot outside the door!
