Yeah-you will be in Florida. So I have not given up hope that you may just show up at the port the morning of the cruise?

BTW-I'll give you a ride if you need one!

Happy Oscar Day!

Be nice to Ken everyone... he had a rough night. :surfweb: Last night was the 11 night excursion feeding frenzy. Ken will be sitting on the boat while Shari enjoys the Med with us. :rotfl2:

Thanks Kelly - While the system worked better last night - it was far from perfect. It was working ok and then the system decided that it would let Shari book excursion but not me. So she got 4 reservations that I didn't. It seems there was another problem with the system - once you booked a Palo reservation (dinner in my case) - then it wouldn't let you book anymore excursions - go figure?

Anyway - talked to DCL this morning and they took care of it. Much better customer service in this case then what some of us dealt with two weeks ago.

Ken

We would love to go, but don't know what time we will arrive yet!!! Hate to come banging on your door at 1am after our flight comes in!! Although you would remember our faces that way!!!!:rotfl2:

Laura, No Probs, I figure that by 1:00 AM I will be leaving to get to the port. Really, ask Linda (seaulater):lmao: :lmao: well pretty close to that time.

Georgie got ya down, that is great.

I was wondering … as we sail eastbound we will pass through several time zones. My guess is that we will change ships time as we sail easterly. Bummer we are loosing time on the ship. We should plan a 00.000.000 longitude part. Keep reminding me,

Scott - Thanks for the invite. I will be there. I am anxious to meet everyone. Hubby is not really social so I might be by myself. I live close by so I'd be glad to bring meatballs, guacomole, spinach dip, chocolate chip cookies, anything.... Now if you have it all covered and don't need any other nibbles - I'll just bring my wine bottle.

Hubby (Carl) will bring books for the library bag. He was worrying last night about running out of reading material and then I told him - the Dis group is setting up a book exchange. He was impressed!!:cool1: :cool1: He reads a lot of science fiction. He likes to play bingo everyday and he enjoys playing "bughouse". That card game is too much for me.

I still have to get train tickets on the Ellipsos Hotel train from Barcelona to Zurich but can't purchase until 60 days out so I'll be glad to get that chore finalized. I'm so excited about this cruise.

I checked sites yesterday for pirate outfits. Most sites sell the same costumes so guess I'll just pick one. I too am limiting my formal wear to a black dress, black pants and assorted tops. We plan on sending one suitcase back on UPS in Barcelona with our ship clothes as it'll be really chilly in Switzerland. Hubby didn't want to cruise until I told him we could go to the Swiss Alps for a week. So he said book the cruise.

I think half the fun of a cruise or vacation is the planning and anticipation. That is why the Dis Board doubles the fun because there are so many people excited with you. :cool1: :cool1:

Hi everyone,

I'm back from my tour director school. I am now a certified tour director (and a certified tour guide for that matter). I have my first job lined up as a meet and greet for 140 doctors arriving in San Diego on March 8th. I need to start writing cover letters and getting my resume out.

It took me awhile to get through all the posts I missed. I sure wish that we could still go on this cruise.

Kelly - I would like to come to your pre-cruise meet on April 12th.

I am having a real moment here..who is it that is "holding the bag"? of books that is

I figure I am bringing three or four to trade since I was going to re-sell them (duplicates).

Anyone into Goodkind or Brooks (both are Terry!)

Hey, we're going to post the bag at our door rail (assuming they will let us!) We figured out how to hang it on the rail. Also, CACruisin mentioned that there are books at the Cove Cafe (I think?) But we can have the official one at our door. I'll bring a little change of room address slip to hand out at the port (and also to put in your fish mail) so that everyone can write in our room number on your master planner.

Susie, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I just told Jonathan last night that I was going to email you to see how you were holding up. We thought you had one more week to go!! That would be great to see you guys again. Jonathan can't make the meet, but Zoe and I will be there. Kathy's family will be your new neighbors, so it will be great for you to meet.

Precruise meet:West Coast Tentative date: 4/12/07 (Thursday) Time TBD. Disneyland's Downtown Disney Naples restaurant. More info as we get closer to the date.

We just returned from seeing the cyclists in Long Beach today. What an amazing treat that was to see. The speed and skill of the teams working together was unbelievable! If you ever get a chance to see professional cycling live go see it. Gydell, The tour of Georgia has become a huge, competitive and popular event. Aren't you in Atlanta?

Hi Ken,

Sorry you had problems again last night. :confused3 :confused3

We made out well, got everything we wanted with only one error message. Might have been a result of all the calls, emails to DCL two weeks ago, they probably didn't want to hear me calling to complain again. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: The backoffice CM probably flagged our Med ressie for quick service so she wouldn't hear from me again now that I have her number :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Glad that DCL took care of you with better customer service than we experienced last time. Now it's time to just sit back and enjoy the cruise(s).

Bob

Scott,

How come there is no smilie in a grassskirt??? :confused3

These are the thoughts that come to mind after being up at 3am .:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Ahh yes, I'm glad things went better last night for you all doing the B2B...I thought of you last night as I was going to bed - hoping there wouldn't be a repeat of 2 weeks ago. :wizard:

Been absent the last couple of weeks with work, but able to lurk now and then so as not to get behind on the postings. :rolleyes1

Seeing the whales near Gibraltar would be awesome! :sail:

Not sure about the wine and cheese meet yet, have to see what we end up doing with our flights. We're currenly planning on going to Palm Beach to see Mike's parents before we leave - then they'll drop us at the port. :drive: But, we also don't have any Pirate gear yet and we're thinking maybe we should just use that as an excuse to go to the MK to get some stuff at the PotC shop. pirate: We'll let you know when we know what we're doing.

Got me, I always thought there was a smile there....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Ok, enough with the grass skirt....what's the story?

OK Scott, as official "Grass Skirt Fraternity" founder it's up to you to explain.

On other note - instead of posting the complete name badge list, I'm going to only post the names of those groups that are either MIA or have not submitted information. I would really like to get some current info from these people. So if you know anything about these MIA's, please let me know.

Magical_Dreams - ?

TADSMommy, TADSDaddy - Karen, Dave, Tiffany, Ashley, David
WeLuvDCL - Dawn, Robert

Thanks

My children would love to make some "new friends" before the trip!! :)

For our May 2008 repo cruise (Ship of Theives), I have put together a group for the kids to get to know each other. It is an "invite only" group, where the kids can type messages and an area to create a photo album. :surfweb: I would like to start one for this cruise too. :thumbsup2

If you are interested please send me a pm with:
your name
your child's name
age (ATOC)
grade
email address

Did you book your air through DCL or on your own? Anyone gotten their air info if they booked thru DCL?

I was also wondering when we will hear about our flight info.

This is the first time we have ever book our flights and our transfers with DCL. Does anyone know how this is handled? Will someone be contacting us? How far in advance will this be done?
